Just got back from Boracay last Saturday
We're 4 in the group and we're all first timers so we chose the busiest station. Booked La Carmela at the travel expo for P4,280 4D/3N with free breakfast. We tried Parasailing (P1,2k each), Fly Fish (P500ea) and Helmet Diving (P650ea w/ CD). I think the package is under Milky's Dive Center. All in all, we liked the service. Mabait yung nag assist samin. Only con, hindi gano malinaw ang underwater camera nila, we only liked few underwater shots. The next day, we went sunset paraw sailing from a random tour guide, he gave it to us for P200 each.
We didn't get any agencies so we won't be pressured with the itinerary. Just canvassed on different offers on water activities and chose the cheapest.
Anyway, we were offered free meals by 2 hotels. Syempre we grabbed the opportunity since its "free" without thinking about the catch at first. There are pros and cons pala. So, first one was a free buffet lunch at Astoria Boracay. Food was very good, tour at their showroom, nice ambiance and you can take pictures anywhere. The con? More than 1.5 hrs to listen on their presentation regarding their VIP membership. Nakatulog na nga yung kasama ko. They'll persuade you and pressure you to avail their "today only" promo. May yabang factor pa yung gay presenter and the gay manager, they'll make you feel like pagsisisihan mo na hindi ka nag avail.
Oh well. Iniisip na lang namin yung experience to freely dine at Astoria Boracay
The next day, we were offered naman sa Crown Regency. We asked if there's a catch like another VIP membership that we've experienced. The scout said "hindi" for promotion lang daw. We have doubts but we still went with him. The place was great. We were given free GCs to enjoy their wave pool and free meal platter at their underwater restaurant. They have this mini ocean park inside. And guess what.. another presentation! But this experience wasn't as bad as the one we had at Astoria. Mas friendly yung lady presenter at naiintindihan niya na hindi namin priority ang luxurious VIP membership kahit mapagalitan siya ng manager niya pero ang bait niya parin. Pero naman, no way we'll spend half a million for VIP membership..for me it's not practical. I'd rather invest my money on real estate. Anyway, we still availed the free swimming at Crown on our last night
After that, we went to Puka beach (P150 tricycle ride). Kind of disappointed kasi medyo remote pala siya. I thought we could swim there pero mabato masyado at hindi gano fine yung sand. Though maganda talaga yung place di lang namin prefer don mag swim so we went back to station 2.
On our way back to Kalibo airport, we just paid P350ea including all fees
We just had a laid back stay and overall enjoyed our vacation. But on our next visit, we'll surely stay at Station 1 or 3 para less crowd
