I am turning 24 what's a good investment for my status?

i'm turning 28 and earning a sizeable amount but have little to no time to spend it so i'm thinking on investing on a business or something. san ba maganda? thanks!

^ Hi, sis there are many available  investment vehicles. Your choice will  be guided by the following:

1. Purpose of investment (for retirement? For medium to long term savings? For health fund? Etc.)
2. Your risk appetite (Are you willing to take high risk for high returns? Moderate risk for moderate returns? Low risk for low returns?)
3. Your investment horizon (Will you be needing the funds after a year? After 5 years? After 10 years?)
4. Amount of time and effort willing to spend on investment (Do you have the time to actively manage your investment? Or do you want to have little involvement with it?)

Investments fall into a spectrum. Setting up a business demands time and effort. It's also a high risk venture with high probability of capital appreciation.

At the other end are low risk investments like government bonds that offer guaranteed returns after a certain amount of time.

Pooled funds like mutual funds, UITFs, and VULs offers flexibility because they offer different kind of funds--from bond funds invested in government bonds to equity funds invested in the stock market. There are also dollar-denominated MF, UITF and VUL that invest in off-shore financial instruments.

Returns from real estate investment can vary depending on location, type of real estate, and payment terms for acquiring the property.

May I ask how you see or monitor your VUL? May daily value ba silang binibigay? Like parang sa stocks/UITF na makikita mo [textspeak!] losses/gains mo. [textspeak!] sa kin kasi from AXA hindi ko alam kung naggain ba o nagkakaloss. Thank you!

Hi from Sunlife mga sis. My agent is very good, aside from insurance she also help with other investments.

Sunlife has an online account where makikita mo yung current fund value, navpu, etc mo and all other info abt your policy.

Ay talaga? Ang ganda pala ng system ng Sunlife. Dapat pala nagsunlife na lang talaga ako. Pag balik ko siguro ng Pinas kuha ako sa Sunlife pero for early retirement naman.

Yes sis kaya namomonitor ko yung fund value(kinita ng investment side) ng VUL namin ng husband ko. so alam ko na may money na dun i can widraw incase of emergency. then pede ka rin magfile ng claim thru their online portal. mas maganda pa nga yung performance ng VUl ko kesa sa own stock and MF investment ko.

alam ko ok din naman yung axa, pinagpipilian ko kasi before axa, prulife and sunlife. after research i went for sunlife kasi ok yung service and claims nila. although i plan to invest in multiple policy naman. you should do that also sis, kasi honestly yung coverage na 1M-2M is not enough naman talaga, plus if vul imagine if you have 2-3 policies then each policy earns 4M (yan yung projected ng sunlife ko) you will have great amount of retirement fund. sabi nga habang bata igrow lang ng igrow ang funds. so if i get atleast 2 policy for me secured na talaga ang retirement ko nyan.

Sis, if you use android or ios, download mo yung MyAxa app. Makikita mo yung details ng policy na kinuha mo, your payments, your account value (investment plus earnings less charges) on a daily basis. You might wonder bakit maliit ang account value mo, i hope your FA explained the charges that relates to VUL during the early years of the contract period if you pay on a regular basis.  If you can't reach your FA, im sure may mga sasagot naman dito ng queries mo.
