I'm also turning 24 this coming June. Also having quarter life crisis. Almost 4 years na kong nagwowork. May emergency fund na din and vul. Pero feeling ko parang ang kulang pa din. What to do mga sis para mas may maipon pa? If you can suggest ng magandang business or investment. It will be a big help. Tia!

Ok bang investment ang jewelry? Ang dali kasi i-dispose kapag biglang nangailangan ng money. Gusto ko din stock market or yung mutual funds/vul pero di ko maintindihan talaga. Meron akong mutual funds pero corporate account siya, di ko alam ano exact na tawag basta kinakaltas siya sa payout ko ( di ko na alam i-explain 😭)

^Yes. jewelries such as gold and diamonds for me are good investments coz their value appreciates over time. As well as stocks / VUL and mutual funds are also considered great investments especially if kept for long periods of time.

from what i have learned from financial analysts, they said that anything you invest in which earns you money are considered investments. but if you spend on something which does not incur income then it becomes a liability. unless you use it to earn you money only then it becomes an investment.

Hi sis! Why don't you try to talk to some Financial Consultants of other companies offering investments+insurance? Para di limited sa isa yung pagpipilian mo. Prulife and Sunlife were my choices, but I availed sa Prulife, kasi mas bet ko yung way ng discussion, and kilala ng officemate ko yung agent kaya mas tiwala ako.

What's a good investment on which aspect? Usually people suggest sa financial aspect when they say "investment". But it can be more than that, so I'm not sure which one you are referring to.

But since you mentioned na 24 ka pa. Prioritize investing on your emergency fund (a MUST for all!), retirement fund, life insurance and skills (kung ano man mapili mo).

bought my first condo when i was 23. it was just pre-selling then. all my friends were buying cars but i thought i'd have more use of a condo than a car. had to wait for a few years before i could move in then i took a 5 year loan from the bank. now its fully paid and we're earning rental income from it while all of my friends' cars are getting old and causing them more expenses.

Depends on your trading plan if long term or short term. suggest ko try attending seminar para masprepare ka bago sumabak. i made the mistake of pagsabak without enough knowledge, 17k na lugi ko haha pero fortunately lately natututo na ako and medyo may gains na

Hi Sis!

I read your post and current dilemma when it comes to your desire of starting an investment but since you are also struggling with your salary and current finances here are some tips that I think I can share with you.

1. Try to start saving with a small amount. Bago ka matutong maginvest, learn to save muna. Kahit 20 pesos a day pa yan or 50 pesos a day pa yan whatever you decide, just make it a habit to consistently save that amount daily. That 20 pesos if multiplied by 30 days could turn out to be 600 pesos savings

2. Unahin mo muna magsave bago mga expenses mo. There is a 20-50-30 rule para sa income allocation. 20 is for saving/investing then 50 for your needs and 30 for your wants. In your case, kung hindi uubra ang ganitong rule then you can tweak it pwedeng 10-60-30 as long as unahin mo ang pag save ng pera bago mga expenses at wants mo.

3. Since you are still young, what you can do dun sa maiipon ma daily na 20 or 50 pesos, talk with a financial advisor or life insurance agents who can create a proposal for you na may life insurance and investment, in that way you are able to save and invest at the same time. Its like hitting two birds in one stone. Kasi yung ipon mo pag nilagay mo sa bank, halos walang kikitain yan sa small amount but put it into a life insurance with investment plan, yung 1500 mo will assure you of a guaranteeda amount of 500k up as your life insurance benefit plus you will have an investment where your money will be invested by fund managers into stocks, bonds and other investment tools where they can make your money grow.

4. If you can manage your time properly, look for work at home jobs kahit for part time basis lang. There is always a way to earn extra income as long as you keep on looking and if you are open to the possibilities of creating a sideline business that who knows might give you a full time business. You can sell preloved stuff that you are no longer using. part of decluttering pa yun on your part. Or become a reseller of products where you don't need to have a physical inventory of those products that you can sell online.

5. Always create a budget plan and track down your expenses kasi you might have unnecessary expenses that you can cut down and its helpful when you know where every cent of your money goes.

Anyway, I just turned 27. Kakaresign ko lang from my 2nd job. Mas okay yung sahod sa 2nd job. Mejo mas nakabuild na ko ng savings pero sobrang kulang pa rin. Kaya lang dahil sa mga di maiwasang ganap, naospital [textspeak!] parents, ayun, ubos din ang ipon. I've also incurred debts from that so talagang paubos nanaman savings. Haay.

Though nagopen ako ng mutual funds ng 2015 sa philequity di ko rin naman nadadagdagan. Sa next job, balak ko na magabroad  para mas mabilis makaipon. And i also plan to get na a vul. Sana hindi pa huli ang lahat.

hi sis! sorry to hear that, i hope your parents are doing well na. dont forget to prioritize settling your debts muna. if possible, talk it sa naglend sayo ng pera if u can come up with a plan to settle your debt na hindi masakit sa bulsa. for example, u owe him 10k tapos deadline is next month pero u cant come up with 10k by next month, maybe pwede mo pakiusapan na the 10k is payable within 5 months with fixed na 2k each month. paalam mo din na you are struggling for now.

question din, who will take care of your parents and their expenses pag nagabroad ka? kasi kahit na you work abroad, it doesn't guarantee higher salary. im not discouraging you ah, i'm just sharing reality. if high salary, baka maubos din pera mo sa kakapadala ng pera back home
