sis dcpdane i recommend Haydee Garcia she's nice and super easy to talk to i love the fitting of my gown yung embroidery na lang inaantay ko but so far i like the progress of my dress and tiwala ako cos i heard sa okay mga gown makers niya

Sis biancayapching yes oo hehe! The last time i went there naka polo shirt/tshirt na veluz yung beader na nagpunta sa office ni Haydee Garcia to get some gowns to start beading the embroidery kaya kampante kami ng ento ko sa outcome tsaka samantalahin na habang mura pa for sure next year magtataas na rates ni Haydee..

hi sis, nasa 40 up si mara chua. medyo di ko lang bet kasi sa facebook dami nyang angst against customers na tumatawad for a laced gown etc. sarcastic madalas, parang ang bobo ng labas ng customers nya haha. parang nakakaturn off... try mo sya i-add sa fb tapos tignan mo wall nya. haha. parang ako, "sorry naman ha?" hahaha! hindi naman kasi lahat ng girls maalam sa mga presyo, kaya nga nagtatanong at nagttry tumawad diba haha. pero if dedma ka naman sa ganung ugali (ugali ba tawag dun?), keriboom. okay naman designs nya.

^ sis yannuh, same tayo.. nung umpisa plan ko lang mag divi.. then after reading GT, naintriga ako sa range ng designer gowns.. so nagsearch ako at nag inquire sa kanila.. actually, Von Lazaro nagustuhan ko.. nagemail ako at 75k daw... naloka ako at gumuho ang pangarap kong gown haha!..

then naginquire din ako sa bridehouse and nabuhayan ako ng dugo, 20k daw yung gusto ko.. since december next year pa naman wedding ko, next year na lang ako punta sa kanila para magtingin ng designs..  goodluck sayo sis.. balitaan mo ako ha...

^sis, no worries on not getting your von gown. mom naman ni von mismo si bridehouse. actually last month nagpunta ako, same mismo office at tahian nila haha! so im pretty sure same quality. mas marami lang sigurong beads and laces kay von, at of course, kasi sikat na sya. haha! but ang chikka ng mom ni von, sya naman talaga ang mananahi at designer noon. hindi designer si von noon. iba field nya. tapos unti-unti pinapaubaya na nya kay von yung business. in fact, carmen lazaro couture name nyan dati, nirename into von lazaro couture. baka hobby na lang ni carmen yan kaya mura sya.

sis bugem25 natawa naman ako dun sa gumuho ang mundo hehe. Ang gaganda din ng kay Von Lazaro no? Isa lang daw showroom nila before kaya nafi-feel mong sya na din ang gumawa bilang mom naman nya hehe:D Btw nag-iba na pala sila ng showroom, near lang din daw dun. Dumadami na din daw kasi clients nila kaya nahihirapan na kapag andun din sina Von.

20k din sana budget ko sa gown kaya lang di kasya sken yung mga RTWs nila. Di maisara yung zipper HAHAHA:D 30K ang starting kapag custom made tapos depende pa if me gusto kang ipabago sa design, or me sarili kang design in mind. Yup update kita, bukas ulit ako babalik para magpakuha ng measurement. Naeexcite ako

Hahaha! Napansin ko rin yun sis! Dami niang rants sa Fb. Kaloka. Actually dresses for prenup lang ang papatahi ko. Reasonable naman quotes na binigay niya sa akin. Nabasa ko nga yung post niya about the lace gown haha. Pero just found Julianne Syjuco! She gave me a good quote din and she is really nice, seems really professional. I liked her gown Heart wore during her Bridal Shower. So I might just get her! Thank you though!

^Hahaha iv met Mara as well and although she seems reserved talagang feel ko angsty sya. So be careful what you say around her, mamaya pinaguusapan ka na niya sa fb. Lol. I didn't book her actually kasi she seems like the type who wants to be booked and left alone---like let to work on her magic. It seems hard to tell her what i like and don't like if I have to do it more than twice. Parang di ko kasi kayang di makialam sa wedding gown. Hehe. Her quotes  are a bit cheaper than Julianne, but i think I can find someone cheaper than them both for my prenup gowns, overbudget kasi both

To be fair to Mara Chua, natawa ako sa post niya about lace gowns and I don't think it's untrue (when I was comparing RTW dresses, the price/quality difference was most obvious when I looked at lace dresses). I can see how her perceived attitude could turn off potential customers, though. Depende lang siguro kung magkasundo kayo.

I agree. 2 weeksa go nag titingin din ako ng vera wang at david's bridal online. My cousin is offering me to ship it for me. Ganda talaga kaya lang im afraid it wont fit me well. Ayoko masurprise kasi baka di maganda fit or iklian at ialter.

Hi sis, i've tried some vera wang and monique lhuillier's gown at a bridal boutiques here.. I agree, some vera wang's gowns are really affordable. Actually, cheaper pa siya compared sa ibang designer gowns sa pinas..

sis, i'm based in sg.. marami sa delfi orchard.. i'm not sure if meron sa manila.. other sissies here, baka meron silang alam

I think the only thing to keep in mind is that the material and construction of the White by VW gowns isn't going to be the same as the couture dresses (real silk vs polyester blends, etc, which is only to be expected given the huge difference in price).

So if what you're after is the look of some of the VW styles at a better price point, White is a good option; but you might be disappointed if you're expecting these dresses to be of the same fabric quality and construction as Vera Wang couture or any other high-end lines. For what it's worth, as far as diffusion lines go, I personally thought Monique Lhuillier Bliss was better quality than White by VW.

kisses1417, as far as I know there aren't yet any authorised distributors of VW or ML in Manila. In Singapore the only authorised Monique reseller is Trinity Gallery, and VW can only be purchased through the Vera Wang salon at Marina Bay. You can try both on at Tiara Bridal but they only offer rentals. There are also several bridal salons that carry both lines in Hong Kong.
