sis summer_princess here are my suggestions for your budget range:

1. nino angeles (http://instagram.com/ninoangeles/) - 25k starting rate for custom gowns when i inquired last year
2. bridehouse (http://instagram.com/bridehouseph) - 30k starting rate for custom gowns but they have very nice rtw's at 20k
3. roxy bagano (http://instagram.com/roxybagano) - 20k starting rate for custom gowns. she's my couturier and i booked her because i found her really nice when i met her. i love her designs too and very reasonable ang pricing nya.

^i already tried the bridehouse rtw - 20k is literally the gown only minimal lang naman if plus accessories , they are so nIce however since im petite, customized na ang kinuha ko. 30k with accessories na.
ms.Carmen is the couturier, she is the mother of Von lazaro.

^oh my... 50k for a divi gown and all that stress- when there are the likes of Mel Orlina who can make a gown for about 56k??!! I super feel for your friend sis. I hope all turns out well. Nakakainis ang mga supplier na ganyan!!!!!!

But yes sis... hanap na kayo ng back up RTW gown for your friend. Lalo na nagaway away na kayo with the divi supplier baka mangbitin yan or pangit ang idedeliver niya since madyo magkagalit sila ni bride. Pero hopefully the gown divi supplier delivers will be good. Then you can use the backup gown as a reception gown nalang.

Grabe talaga may mga ibang tao sobrang walang kwenta and unprofessional.

^this is the reason why, despite the 50k budget that we allotted for the gown, I did not have my gown or my entourage's gown made in Divisoria. when I looked for a wedding gown maker near my place, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that my 50k budget can cover the price of my gown and almost all of my female entourage's. I spent only 54k for my gown and for my entourage gowns without having to trudge the way to traffic-congested Divisoria. Good thing my friends discouraged me from going there.

^for the bride, better na bumili na siya ng RTW gown para wala nang stress for the big day.

Any reviews for desino dulce? they gave me the lowest quote of my peg for entourage gowns. Haven't seen a lot of reviews about them on the internet.

Hi everyone, has anyone tried coca couture? and Roxy Bagano?

Also do you guys think it would be rude to ask a designer/shop to copy a particular style from another designer? I have this design from VR pero ang mahal talaga so I'm looking into getting it copied instead. What are your suggestions?

^ yes sis. It is off to go to another designer and ask them to copy another Filipino designer. OK lang if you ask them to copy foreign designers because Filipino designers understand that those designers are inaccessible to us. Plus some foreign designers are really pillars of fashion and are the global trendsetters.

But to ask Roxy Bagano or Andrea Tetangco to copy Vania Romoff is a bit off, especially since Vania naman isnt even a top level designer yet. It would be a bit offensive even.

yes it's a bit off nga to ask them to copy the exact design.. also, designers don't do that kase ang alam ko pwede sila i-report pag exact copy.  what they do is they modify the design ng peg mo.. kumbaga me babaguhin sila na konting details para ma-achieve pa rin ang peg mo.

Sometimes what they do, after seeing your peg, they would create a sketch that will best suit your body frame based from your chosen design which is a good thing. Go to every designer you can think of and bring a copy of your peg then compare who will offer the lease but can execute well..
Designers I have in mind are: Jo Rubio, Jazel Sy, Edward Teng.

^hi sissies. i think they don't mind naman if you send them wedding gown images na peg mo done by other local designers. I love Veluz and Mel Orlina gowns, i sent them to Roxy Bagano (na mas affordable compared to them) and she is humble enough to reply yung quotation nya:) She even explained yung mga gagamiting fabric and beadings. Its just a matter of kung paano mo siguro ideliver yun to them. Kumbaga, trabaho lang,walang personalan.

i'm a soon-to-be roxy bagano bride.
i showed her pictures of gowns that i liked and pointed out what elements i wanted from each and from there nag-conceptualize sya and made me a sketch taking into consideration yung mga notes ko.
gustong-gusto ko talaga yung mga off-shoulder gowns ni jazel sy pero feeling ko magbebenta muna ako ng atay bago ko sya ma-afford!

i love browsing jazel's ig pero hanggang dun na lang ang relationship namin. haha
pero nagulat ako dun sa same ang singil ni edward teng ha.. para saken based on his portfolio medyo hit or miss eh.
naalala ko tuloy yung isang b2b na nagpost dito before na sinungitan ng isang staff nya at sinabihan si b2b ng "edward teng kame (with emphasis)."

^ i remember that sis, sa Divi ata yun? hehe anyway, i was able to haggle with Paolo Baltazar to do my all french lace gown with train for 60k. With bride assistance sa day itself. Ok na sakin yun. Isa sa mga worry ko e baka masira buong araw ko since maluwag or masikip yung gown ko on the day itself! hahaha

I remember nun nagpa quote ako kay edward teng.. yung asst. nya ang sumasagot sa emails ko. Anyway, manny mondelo offered me a bit cheaper than the 3 of them so sya ang pinush ko. May plus discount pako coz a friend referred me.

yes sis jentotmd! basta natawa talaga ako nung nabasa ko yung feedback nila.
nakakainis kase pag nagtatanong ng maayos tapos magsusungit yung supplier.
gusto ko din sana mag-inquire kay paolo baltazar before kaso alam ko based sya sa south eh medyo malayo na sya sa'ken though i know mas convenient naman yun for you.

^ yes sis primary consideration ko talaga na convenient yung mga suppliers ko. kasi sobrang makulit ako at agit. hahaha. di mapakali. i like the idea na pwede mangumusta ng work anytime.

Hi sis.. parang mel orlina rates din si manny.. (may idea ka na siguro ) yes yan ang ig account nya.. sobrang filtered lang ibang photos kaya malabo. I think he is related to/or works with rajo laurel. As per sis hallerski's info. Sa kanya din kase nagpa design yung sis nya ng gown.
