I've asked Occasions, a boutique in sm mall, for a quote sa bridal package. They gave me quote of 60k minimum included na ang entourage, pero xempre depende pa sa number of entourage. They can also work within your budget. I also asked kasi kapag bridal gown lang, and budgeted, they quoted me 10-15k. They also have rtw that you can choose from. Balikan ko sila next year. Dec 2015 pa naman ako.

looking for a wedding dress is giving me so much stress. so many horror stories too from previous brides! do you think it will be possible to have a simple but well-made dress from not-so-well known makers for a maximum of 30k? spending so much on a dress i will only wear once makes me think twice - the quotes i've been getting from well known wedding designers already can be downpayment for a car or a condo kasi.

it's possible naman sis. i have the same dilemma sis pero mas mataas naman ang budget mo kesa sa'ken. hehe

pero syempre, pag dumadami ang details, tumataas din ang presyo. though halos lahat sila ang starting rate sa gowns ay 25k so you might want to inquire with them.

We inquired at a boutique in Greenbelt5 na maraming naka display na gowns.. kase we saw this fully beaded gown na may train and mermaid style and ang ganda. Nag inquire kame and hindi daw for sale yung dress which is approx. worth 500k sabi nung sales attendant - pero they can make one for me daw ng same gown at ang base price is around 50k lang with less beading nga lang. Inisip namin ng mom ko "uy pwede na". Then tinanong ng SA kung para san gagamitin yung gown, so sabi namin wedding dress sana.. then she said, ah for wedding dress ma'am ang starting price namin is 200k basic with no beading... eeer  hahaha jusko narinig lang na wedding dress tumaas ng husto ang presyo 

Parang I know that shop sa GB5 sis. Designer ng mga celebs din yan. I saw those too at hindi na ako nagbother na pumasok kasi baka malula din ako. Sayang kasi magagandang gown sana kaso iniiba nila presyo pag sa wedding gagamitin.

Speaking of Cheesecake, nameet ko na siya last Sat at GB to pay. She was super nice and she brought a sample of the infinity gowns. Maganda yun tela nung dala niya. Malaki laki din nasave namin sa entou gowns kasi pumatak sa 1.9k na lang each because of the discount.

I am considering Cheesecake too for my entourage gowns, kaya lang may Style ba yung infinity na dress na hindi masyado kita ang skin..yung medyo conservative sana, kasi we are having a christian wedding at pastor din si [textspeak!].nahihiya naman ako sa knila.

I just came from a meeting with one of my potential gown designers.. I was really looking forward to the meeting and her sketch. She was actually a very nice person, but here's the thing:
- She badmouths her other brides/ ento to me and other customers she's currently entertaining, and how hard they have been to deal with. Medyo unprofessional/ junior behavior in my opinion.
- She made me wait 1.5 freaking hours before I got my turn. Sana sumusunod sa sched diba? No consideration and I had to meet other parties after pa naman
- While she was doing my sketch, she was also calling her beader and sewer and fitting other clients, so hindi sya gaano focused.
- She was not really willing to negotiate much the cost of the gown when I told her my budget. She told me not to compromise the gown (and it wasnt just 5-10k overbudget, it was by a mile).
- Another client was fighting with her over scheduling problems while we were there. Apparently, she says you can come by anytime and she'd be at the shop pero she wont really slot you in unless you stated a specific time. o.o
- Clients before me had prolonged fitting periods because the gowns for them hadnt arrived yet

This post is not meant to badmouth her esp. since she is one of my preferred suppliers nga sana. Her name is Patricia Santos and she's only been designing gowns for 2 years, relatively newcomer, and yet quoted price is 130-200k. Medyo na-shock ako sa quote nya, wala namang Swarovski or anything yung gown...

Now im stepping back and rethinking if i want her to do my gown. I believe in her talent, she seems like a good person too,  but she might be too junior (and not too organized) that I risk having to deal with misses like the ones above. Any advice? I have two more shortlisted couturiers to see (both of which are also more affordable) but sayang si Patricia because her designs were unique pa naman. TIA!

Oohhh she has a lot to learn pa pala talaga.. Give her a couple of years and maybe she'll improve. Tho how much na kaya ang price niya by then. Gosh. Ang mahal considering na two years palang siya. But ano pala she was the designer of Kim Chiu's gown sa Star Magic Ball ano..

I'll wear a Cheesecake swing dress on Dec for a friend's wedding! Bridesmaid kasi ako. Andami options na pwede nakakatuwa kasi may youtube tutorial pa talaga.. and makakapili pa ko kung ano mas bagay na style sakin.

And yup may tube na kasama sa bawat dress so no need to worry

I booked Paul Rex Mateo. he's from Imus. last June ako nagpasukat then last week nag 1st fitting kami. almost finish na yung gown lalagyan nalang ng beads. ang bilis! ang dami nagandahan sa gown ko when I showed it to my friends (atat ako masyado haha). sa viber group friends ko naman ang dami nagsabi ang mura ng gown ko to think 2 in 1 dress sya. i think mura sya kasi wala masyado arte. i like it simple kasi. hindi masyado ma lays and beads.

normally gano katagal bago magawa ni designer ang gown design after natin i-provide ang pegs natin?
