sis j.adore, super yikes. it's 35k daw. fully beaded top, no fancy skirt. although nagpapalagay ata ng petticoat.  sa beads, i don't think may swarovski yon.

mrscreamsoda how muchbis happy andrada's quotation with you? she never replied to my inquires kasi so I am curious. I already booked my designer though.

sis, hindi sya bridal gown. formal wear lang tinanong ko. minimum nya siguro is yung 6,500 na quote nya. sa pegs ko she quoted me 12-20k. Pero I've read somewhere around GT din na she can work with the bride's budget naman. nag-message pa ako ng iba pero so far si Happy Andrada lang ang nagreply sa akin twice na mabilis. I inquired with Jazel Sy, Patricia Santos, Richie Ortega-Torres, Paolo Baltazar. I think I also emailed Joe San Antonio. Gusto ko nga sana RTW nalang.


I saw Rhett Eala's handpainted long-gowns. Pero wala syang work email so I asked a friend pa to ask Sam Lewis (she replied in minutes!), yung ball gown she was wearing is around 30-40k daw. Way over-budget na. Guest lang naman ako. lol

I have my eyes on Vania Romoff's RTW line. I need a long gown for a wedding this October. Sino nakapag-try na sakanya, mga sis? Meron din syang Bridal RTW and of course, custom made.

Im meeting with her this end of Oct for a tea-length dress I want to wear for a wedding. Sana magaling sya kahit hindi skinny yung clients haha!

Received a response from Joe San Antonio. 6,500 din quote nya for a "dull" mermaid silhouette gown. I'm now torn bet Happy Andrada and Joe San Antonio. Happy is willing to work within my budget. I sure think Joe can do that too. Ngayon, sino nalang ang makakapagexecute ng maayos ng peg ko? Mermaid silhouette is a hit-n-miss. Meron kasing nagiging diretcho nalang yung gown hindi naaaccentuate yung pelvic area. Isa pa, I won't be to any fittings since I'm not based in PH. Ngayon natatakot ako sabihin dahil baka tagain nila ako. 2wks lang lead time ko.

I'd like to share my chosen gown designer, Tammy Tan of Tamara Tan Atelier. Her shop is at Esteban Abada St. near Ateneo. I gave her my pegs, mostly Spanish-inspired and with beads and fully-laced. She gave it for 45k, a lot lower than the price with the other designer I went to na kaya i-execute din the same peg and has the same materials. Si Coca Couture yung isa, both of them have very nice laces na imported from Italy and France daw talaga. Medyo over the budget namin si Coca, 85k quote niya.

For the entourage gowns sa Cheesecake na. For the mothers' gowns and flower girl dresses wala pa. Not more than 4k sana budget namin for mothers' gowns and not more than 2500 naman for flower girls. Choosing between Larrina and PB but the former lagi nagpapalit ng price. Though pinapaala ko naman quote niya dati sa bridal fair. May suggestions pa kayo for these?

Ako rtw na lang para sa mga entou dresses para di rin masyadong mapamahal..
Gusto ko sana kay cheesecake but ang quote nia is around 2k knee level dress and masmahal pa kung medyo chubby ang magsusuot..
Kaya I decided to get rtw na lang, tutal garden wedding naman ako, and so far sa lagi ko pagiikot sa mall with my entou friedns marami ako nakikitang dresses na magaganda and mura pa.. tsaka yun din ang gusto nila, para pwede pa nila isuot ulit..

maybe you're referring to the infinity gown sis nene1117 kase yun ang 2k. the infinity swing dress is 1.2k lang.

 my wedding couturier is marlene marcelo] super horro at dissapointed  kami sa kanya. at first shes nice like papa fit nya sayo mga gowns so malaman mo anong bagay sayo. then after naman nakapagdecide ako na okay sya kausap even though high pricing sya nung una. naki pag negotiate naman ako, at shes okay with my budget rates on the gowns and entourage. then after ng first fitiing ng mga entourage kaloka naman ako dahil ang ginamit nyang cloth ay hindi yun gusto ko. so i have to come up na idea na palitan ulit yun designs nila.  then after that told her na palitan shes qouting me again another price which is every changes na dapat aayusin nila. lagi may dagdag na bayad. usually naman pag ganun dapat inaayos nila yung dress. grabe sya ang taga nya sa presyo even my maid of honour na gowns. na she qouted 20k for her gown na yung embellishment na nilagay i saw in divisoria. so sabi ng moh ko change again for her gown styles. but then nagpadagdag naman sya ha. kaloka talaga. well at first okay sya sa una. but then pag fitting na she doesnt care if the gowns look nice samagsosout or maganda yung product. pero talaga mukha sya dag dag lagi sa price.  instead ayusin yung gowns. laging may additional grabe taga talaga.

naku sis. red flag yung mga ganyang padagdag padagdag instead na ayusin yung gown. kapag nagbackread ka ng one page makikita mo horror story ng friend ko. 35k quoted ng kilalang mananahi. pinakokopya ng friend ko yung gawa na nilang gown dati para di na complicated. so nag-go na sa 35k. tapos ngayon hindi daw makopya kopya ng maayos. to thi k na kokopya na nga lang sila ng sariling creation nila. 35k. sana sa kilalang bridal couturier nalang sila nagpatahi.

sis imagenta. Do you have the original sketches and specs made by the designer? Pwede mo kasi ipakita yun and insist that she sticks to the approved design with approved specs, with the original contract price. If you don't have the sketches, the designer should have the orig. design sketches and specs in her files.

Hmmm Merlene Marcelo sa Kamagong St. ba yung shop niya?

This is the first negative feedback I've read. The most significant rave sa kanya is siya yung designer na tumulong ayusin ang fail gown ng bride (na ginawa ng iba) one day before the wedding. As in puyatan sila maayos lang ang gown.

I hope pwede niyo pa mapagusapan yan at balikan ang contract/pegs na nadiscuss niyo before kasi sayang naman..

We inquired at a boutique in Greenbelt5 na maraming naka display na gowns.. kase we saw this fully beaded gown na may train and mermaid style and ang ganda. Nag inquire kame and hindi daw for sale yung dress which is approx. worth 500k sabi nung sales attendant - pero they can make one for me daw ng same gown at ang base price is around 50k lang with less beading nga lang. Inisip namin ng mom ko "uy pwede na". Then tinanong ng SA kung para san gagamitin yung gown, so sabi namin wedding dress sana.. then she said, ah for wedding dress ma'am ang starting price namin is 200k basic with no beading... eeer  hahaha jusko narinig lang na wedding dress tumaas ng husto ang presyo

Yun yung kinaiinasan ko sa industry. Basta sabihin mo pang wedding eh shoot up na ang prices. No wonder others don't tell it's for a wedding

looking for a wedding dress is giving me so much stress. so many horror stories too from previous brides! do you think it will be possible to have a simple but well-made dress from not-so-well known makers for a maximum of 30k? spending so much on a dress i will only wear once makes me think twice - the quotes i've been getting from well known wedding designers already can be downpayment for a car or a condo kasi.
