^pang cover lang! I can relate. I have friends (a gay and a girl) na sabay nagpalit ng profile pic na magkasama sila together, at wag ka, nag "in a relationship" pa sila with each other. For us, sobrang nakakatawamg trip lang, but seeing how other people reacted, dun kami mas naaliw. Hehe

^ true. altho i have a friend, more than 8 years na sila nung guy, and yet not even one pic of the girl on the guy's fb acct.

follow up question: pag wala bang pic ng gf sa FB ni guy does it mean na hindi sya proud kay gf or ayaw nya lang malaman ng mga tao na in a relationship na sya or wala lang, like not really abig deal. kasi dba pag proud bf ka usually you'll post yung mga pics nyo ni gf sa fb.

^sis it really depends on how 'big' the guy is on facebook. Personally, facebook is never a measure of how proud a man is about his girl. Ako, with my ex, wala sya ni isang bakas sa account ko, but that doesn't mean i was not proud of him. I loved him with all my heart, i was so proud of him, in fact so proud kase he has his PhD, habang ako eh isang college student lang. Sobrang proud ako nun sa kanya at sa sarili ko kase hey, my boyfriend is a professional and he's smarter than all of your boyfriends -- that kind of pride. Pero it just never occured to me na i have to put those on facebook, why? I dont know. Maybe i just dont take facebook too seriously. With my relationship now, yeah i post photos of us, he does too, but again, it's just facebook. More than anything i focus on what's real for and about us, not on what other people may think about us, especially sa fb na puro lurkers lang naman ang nandun.

i talked to a college friend a few mins ago.. and may FB-related issue din sya.. )... eneweis, here's her dilemma.. 1.5 months pa lang sila ni bf nya. the bf was so confident and trusting kay college friend that he gave her his fb password. curiosity got the best of college friend so she logged in to fb using the bf's username and passwd. she checked the messages and found na may conversation si bf with another girl na mukhang high school classmate ata.. the date of the conversation daw was about 3 or 4 days after nya sagutin si bf. the conversation went something like this (naiforward sa akin ang screen shot ng Fb conversation.. haist.. ):

BF: Musta na?
Girl: Nka-confine mom ko..
BF: Saan?
Girl: <mentions the name of the hospital> . Bkit mo ask dalaw ka? Hehe..
Girl: When?
BF: Bakit may magagalit ba?
Girl: Wala ka ba wife at anak?
BF : Wala ah.. Single ako   <--- at this point nainis yung college friend ko..
BF: Wala rin ako anak..
Girl: Ows?
BF: Yup...

So ayan mga sis and bro ang dilemma nya.. She wants to confront the bf, but she's thinking twice kasi sya naman ang nag-open ng FB account ni guy.. I told her nga bakit mo binuksan eh hindi ka naman pala ready na harapin yung mga possibleng makita mo.. And besides, hindi pa nman kayo married ni BF so technically, hindi ka pa nya asawa... I asked her if there was any other conversation exchanges between the 2.. Nitong June 5 lang daw, ni-greet ni guy ng happy birthday si girl.. and the girl just replied with "thanks"..

Ang hirap magbigay ng advice dahil ayaw ko naman mag-side kay college friend, since she was the one who accessed the guy's fb account..May posible kayang namamagitan dun sa girl at dun sa bf ng friend ko? Any insights mga sis and bros? TIA!

P.S. Sorry for the long post too..

Saying to a girl that you're single when you have a gf, kesyo bago pa lang or long time na, just doesn't sound right to me. And by the looks of it na the guy's high school classmate was obviously digging around for his relationship status and he made no mention of the gf, baka he's not that into her pa that much. IMO lang.

BF : Wala ah.. Single ako   <--- at this point nainis yung college friend ko..
BF: Wala rin ako anak..

^ Referring back to the message exchange, tama naman ang sagot ni boy, Wala nga siyang asawa and anak. And when he said Single ako, it's true as well. Think of it this way, he just answered Single ako, but it doesn't mean that he's denying being in a relationship. In this case, he was simply stating the fact. Kasi weird din if he responds by saying, Wala ah... Single ako pero in a relationship (is it necessary to cite?) So, IMO, before we go into analyzing this whole FB conversation that took place, why don't we begin with boundaries in a relationship. Bakit di nalang piliin ng friend mo NOT to access the BF's account even if she can... suppose she can win against temptation, doubt, curiosity and what not :)

But doesn't single mean not only not married, but also not in a romantic relationship? Meaning no gf?

But yeah, let's not overanalyze.  :)

"dahil gusto kita makita?"  ano yun?

that means he is fooling or flirting around. your friend is better off not with him, mga ganyang lalaki walang kwenta kasi papaikutin ka lang ng husto.

Isn't it embarrassing?

If I were the friend nga dito palang nainis na ko. Lol.

He's obviously flirting. Maybe they had something way back. Like fling or whatever. But saying na he's SINGLE, validates na wala pa nga syang asawa, it also invalidates his being in a relationship. And that moment naman siguro hindi na maiisip ni guy yung being single as a legal status. It's a casual convo, and in colloquial terms/facebook lingo, single simply means - no attachment, gf man or asawa. Hahaha, but that's just me ha. But if she's naguguluhan then ask his bf about it... Although there's a slim chance na aminin ni bf na he was flirting nga.

thank you so much for your insights mga sis and bros.

i also mentioned her case to my male office mates to ask some male POVs. one of them said na, if the guy has something to keep, bakit pa nya ibibigay yung FB username and passwd nya.. perhaps to the guy, it was simple flirting and does not necessarily mean he's cheating on my friend, and hindi pa totally nag-sink-in dun sa guy yung status nila since the conversation happened 3-4 days after my friend answered/accepted the guy. it would be a different story daw if it happened recently (after at least their 1st month). it was just coincidence na ngayon lang na-discover nung friend ko.

oh well.. salamat ulit sa mga replies mga sis and bros! at least ngayon when i talk again to my college friend, i can share with her insights other than my own.

pwedeng tama to.. bakit nga naman ipagkakatiwala pa yung access sa FB nung guy kung may tinatago sya..at pag bagong relationship pa nga naman like a week or days medyo hindi pa ganun ka-serious..

^^ Hindi naman issue na tinatago ng guy. Which I think is much worse. Kasi i-accept mo dapat na 'normal' lang lumandi ang BF mo sa ibang babae, accept is early on kasi ganun sya. So in the future, anything with a similar situation, dapat ok lang, kasi tutal GF naman yung friend mo, at yung ibang girls hindi. So dapat hayaan nalang ng friend mo ang BF nya lumandi with anyone?

eh why not confront para magkaalaman na.. the bf lang ang only person na nakakaalam ng real reason why he did the thing.. kesa nag-iisip yung gf kung bakit ganun si bf eh di i-confront na lang nya..

update lang mga sis.. i talked to my friend last night kung may development na over the weekend. she did confront her bf. similar sa opinions ng male officemates ko, ang sabi ni bf nya, was the conversation happened 3-4 days after sya sagutin ng friend ko. it turns out din that my friend accepted/answered the bf via text and parang pabiro ata nya sinagot (from the way i understood her kwento). so hindi pa nga daw totally nag-sink in dun sa guy, and medyo unsure si guy kung serious si girl (kasi pabiro nya sinagot)... though the guy apologized naman daw subject to misinterpretation nga yung exchange nila kasi bordering on flirting nga.. and similar to what my male officemates said, sabi daw ni guy, why would he give his personal details (FB username, password, and even his email add, and password) to my friend if he has something to hide...

Hi guys, why would you "ignore" a girl?

I worked with this guy over the summer and we got along. We did not date but we were friends. sort of.

After the project (he was from a different department), we do not see each other on a daily basis. But the thing is, there have been many instances where I knew he saw me but he did not even say hi to me. I know I am not supposed to feel entitled to a "hi" but really, as friends, as people who used to see each other on a daily basis, wouldn't you say "hi" to them?

You may be asking why I was not the one who initiate a conversation but the thing is, in all those instances, he was at the position to see me and I happen to see only his back so I knew he was there. There was even a time when he was literally just behind me and he didn't even bother greet me.

Why would guys do these things? or is he just a plain jerk?
