A question about call center hiring
« on: June 13, 2014, 03:10:47 am »
Hello! My school changed its academic calendar na, so in the next school year I will have a 5-month break. I'm in med school, so college grad naman. I was hoping to work at a call center for some money in those 5 months.

Do I need to train pa ba (papasok nang walang sweldo) and if ever, will I be allowed to resign/leave after 5 months of service?

Most companies will have in house training and paid na agad. You can go anytime you want just make sure to give proper notice, don't go on AWOL. I suggest na huwag mo na sabihin sa interviews mo na 5 months mo lang balak mag work, well that goes for any job interview naman. Try United Health Group since may medical background ka. They're at Mckinley Hill yata.

Hindi ba parang bad faith naman if iiimply ko na I want to work there indefinitely pero sa totoo 5 months lang? I don't want to do this kasi makakasama sa name ko yan. Syempre I don't want to be known na ganyan ang work ethic. Not na biglang-alis, but I will mislead them sa start. Syempre they will ask naman bakit ako naghahanap ng work, ganyan. If I say na may 5-month break, obvious na iyon na I can only stay that time.

Sakit ng ulo ko yan when I was a manager in a call center. Would be better if you look for freelance work elsewhere. Sa call centers kasi may impact ang loss of headcount or attrition.

If you say na 5 months ka lang pwede magwork, hindi ka i-hire ng mga BPO companies. Ang hanap nila is yung long-term employee.

Kaya mong i-express ang sarili mo using the english language.

For trainings, paid yan. And ipag-sure mo ang contract na pipirmahan mo. Like Convergys, di ka pwede umalis ng company within 4 months. If magresign ka, magbabayad ka ng 20k.

Try project based employment. Usually projects will last for about 3 months, may also be extended but you can always say no to an extension. :)
