Auto repair shop recommendations?

Hi! My car has recently had problems with its acceleration, and I think it's about time I learned about car maintenance on my own instead of relying on my male friends and relatives. 

Where can I find a good, reliable and reasonably priced mechanic, preferably in the Kapitolyo-Katipunan areas? I know Banawe is a good place, but I'm quite afraid to go there on my own.

dalhin mo muna sa casa and have it checked. pag mahal tsaka ka humanap ng mechanic. try to google the topic kung ano sira ng car mo then may mga recommendations sa local car forums or join your car models club may mga recommendations din dun.

share ko lang kasi first ko diesel na hyundai. naglalabas siya ng black smoke sa muffler tapos ang bagal ng takbo niya. black smoke as in wala nako makita pag nakatingin ako sa rear view mirror tapos black na yung color ng likod ng auto ko. had it checked sa diesel calibration sabi iiwan daw sa kanila ng 2days to inspect then mga nasa p20k pa calibrate. naningil pa ng p2k for diagnostic kinabit yung computer box sa laptop yun lang ginawa.

i left and dinala ko sa casa ng hyundai, lo and behold may hose lang pala na natanggal sa pagkaka kabit. paid less than p500. yung per hour rate ng labor. kaya mula non casa muna for check up then check sa mga car forums yung near my area para pag pinaiwan madali lang mag commute pauwi and madaling balikan.

I would suggest that you ask your car insurance provider. There are auto insurance providers that have tie-ups with excellent auto repair shops. MAPFRE Insular (http://mapfre.com.h), which handles my insurance coverage, has this kind of service.
