finally booked our hotel for wedding prep! we booked 4 de luxe rooms at Hive Hotel in Tomas Morato for only 11k. May prep fee na 10k but we were able to haggle it to 8k refundable pa yung 1500:). Yey! malapit ko na ma complete suppliers ko:) gown, flower and transpo na lang!

How about Solaire? Okay ba dun? I saw kasi a prenup shoot na dun ginawa ng Metrophoto and napanood ko sila sa Weddings TV. Ang ganda ng grand staircase nila.

Hi Ms.bzbee. I want to book my preps at Manila Pen as well. But I heard/read either one of 2 things- that they don't allow photo ops anymore or that you have to pay around 5k. Do you know which one is true? And what kind of suite did you book if you don't mind me asking? And how about the meals for the suppliers? Is it true that Manila Pen does not allow delivery?

sis there's no payment required for photo ops kasi bawal talaga siya if you're not having the reception there. all the pictorials you see there are most likely takas lang. my photographer was able to cover a wedding preps there and d naman daw sila nagkaproblema sa pag take ng pictures kahit bawal. we're booking 4 rooms for wedding preps - 1 premier suite for me and 3 deluxe rooms for h2b and our families. and then 1 more room for us on the wedding night. around 50k ang total expenses namin for the rooms. sa supplier meals, medyo strict daw talaga sila in bringing in food but i've talked to my OTD and she said manageable naman daw. nakapagpadeliver din kami ng KFC sa manila pen a couple of years ago nung nagcheck-in kami, though im not sure if same case pag for wedding preps.

@wednesdei from what i've read regarding solaire, hindi rin pwede ang pictorial sa common areas outside the hotel room because its a casino. though d naman daw sila strict in bringing in food and number of people sa room.

hi sis xsugar, may 10k fee din pala sa hive? parang luxent din..nasa list ko pa naman din sana yun hive hotel for an ocular..makapaghanap pa nga ulet ng iba, di na kase namen afford pag may fee pa yun mga hotel and for me practicality na din..thanks for the info sis!

^ sis belle, yep Blue Leaf kami pero our church would be at Santuario de San Jose kaya medyo malayo sa Manila Pen.

yes sis kateguerzon08 meron nga.actually wala din sya sa budget namin kaso nung nakita ni h2b yung hotel nag ok na sya kesa dun sa nakita naming isa along Q.Ave. pwedeng wala ding prep fee pero parang limited and picture taking.better to visit them sis,ang mura ng rooms nila ngayon dahil ongoing pa promo sayang matitipid mo.in case magpunta ka, refer kita dun sa agent na kausap ko.

Thank you @ bzbee! When is your wedding btw? I met a w@w bride who had her preps at Peninsula and they were able to get some shots naman. Sabi nya depende din sa diskarte P/V team. My heart is set on Peninsula kahit malayo sya from my church. So I think we'll book there too. My fiancé wants what I want so I'm happy hehe.

@lourd3ss our wedding is on January sis. kailan ka? also consider getting the Pen Card, it has discounts and freebies for rooms and dining but check mo din if masusulit niyo siya.

bzbee Yup somebody suggested getting the Pen Card nga. But I don't think it's going to be worth it in the long run eh so we probably won't avail it.

Would 20K be enough for the hotel budget or is it too much na?
Nag-book kami via agoda kasi. For the wedding preps kasi, around 12K for 2 rooms then H2B and I will be staying for 2 more days for the "honeymoon" amounting to 8K naman.

sis ako yung bridal suite, 2N ko sya binook para dun kami magstay after ng wedding, yung groom's room, 1N lang. tapos nagparequest ako ng late checkout sa room ni hubby so for my 3PM wedding ceremony, pumayag na 2PM ata sila nagcheckout (though 1PM lang nirequest ko)

Hi mga sis, anyone here knows or heard Meranti Hotel? Bago lang to located along Roces ave and Sct. Castor, malapit sa Max's restaurant Sct. Tuazon. Max's group din daw ang owner nila. They currently have a 40% promo until this year, then sabi nun nakausap ko even if nextyear ia-avail yun rooms basta this year ib-book, they can give the 40% discount.

Ang nagustuhan ko sa kanila, maganda yun lobby and cafe, maganda and spacious na din ang mga rooms, even yun Standard room nila, sabi ko nga kay bf ok na saken yun for wedding prep, pero syempre we opt for a bigger and more spacious one. Then, if you can avail 5-room nights, mawe-waive na yun wedding fee na php3500. This includes wedding photoshoot in hotel premises, bringing in of outside food for lunch (pero pwede din sa katapat na Max's na lang, hehe), and they allow up to 15persons in the morning ng wedding preparation so long as they will just stay sa availed rooms para hindi masyadong istorbo sa ibang hotel guests.

Sila na actually pinakamura na nakita ko along QC, ang hirap maghanap ng hotel. Di ko alam kung kuripot ako kase namamahalan ako sa wedding fee na above 5k on top of room rates.

So ayun, just sharing yun na-inquire ko sa kanila. Ano sa palagay niyo mga sis? Tia

ako din nahihirapan na ako maghanap ng hotel malapit sa OLA marikina... ayoko na sana ng bandang Ortigas kase for sure matraffic ako:( and siyempre tight budget kaya mas mahirap maghanap:(

My cousin who got married in OLA stayed at Eastwood Richmonde for their preps Wala naman na-late despite their wedding falling on a weekday. Hope that helps
