For those with afternoon ceremonies, you can request for a late check-out. Hotels usually accede to these requests, unless of course they are fully booked which normally happens during peak seasons or long weekends.

Lyr3hs, we booked our hotel 9 months before the wedding :) But our wedding falls on a weekday on an off-peak season so our timeline may not be the best comparison. Hehe!

^we booked 3 rooms 8 months before the wedding.. for hubby, me and holding bay for entourage. Our wedding falls on a weekday (Tuesday) same with sis caleeice so it might be different for weekend weddings since most of the time there will be other couple using the hotel for preps too. Better book early if sure naman na dun kayo :)

Correct sis belle. Haha!

I highly recommend having 3 rooms. Having a separate room for the entourage worked well for us because I could not imagine having them in the same room as ours. If they were, super sikip na! Note however that we asked all our entou to go to the hotel for the pictorial. So if you're planning the same thing, better have a separate room for everybody's comfort :)

mamey, if they won't let you have a late check-out, will they let you book it for an extra half-day for half the rate? I wouldn't want my fiance and his family to be rushing to get out of the room on the day of the wedding, especially if they would have to wait in the lobby.

^it depends on your hotel sis. sa acacia kahit half day they will charge you whole rate for the room. sa case namin nag check out sila ng 12pm lipat sa isang room tapos 2pm nagwait na sila sa lobby.

^^ Korek sis seven magiging hassle sa kanila if they all wait at the lobby area to note na big family sila h2b pati ang family ko so hindi kami mag kakasha sa 1 room. Kinukulit ko pa yung sales nila kung pumayag with extra charge :) kasi if not then no choice I'll book for 2 nights din for another room.

We booked all four casitas inside Angelfields for our preps, so my immediate family, my brother's family  and my fiance's immediate family will all be there already for preps pictures. :) Hopefully, this will also discourage our date from being booked by a second wedding in the new garden since wala nang casitas. Haha!

Sis belle, pano yung food ng suppliers nyo during preps sa ERH? Hindi talaga kayo pinayagan magpasok ng food?

Sis melixaanne, I did not argue with Richmonde about that policy when I learned that even other bigger hotels do the same.. (Sofitel, etc) According to Philippine Association of wedding Planners, if the hotel prohibits bringing of outside food to their premises, just follow it na lang, otherwise baka iban pa ng hotel ang suppliers nyo. :)

My coordinator booked preordered meals (breakfast and lunch) for other family members, suppliers and entourage at the nearest restaurant. The meals are in take away boxes but the fastfood provided a corner for us so that our guests and suppliers will stay on that spot only when they claim their meals. Bon also assigned a coordinator there to facilitate the distribution of meals. :) Everything has been smooth, our rooms are free from clutter too since we didn't have to eat there. but they hid some food for me and hubby since we couldn't go down na by lunch time. :)

Melixanne, I highly recommend Oakwood! We used it during preps. Their rooms are nice and spacious. They are likewise not strict about bringing in food unlike other hotels. My cousin had free accommodation in Marco Polo, but when they checked out Oakwood after we recommended them, they booked their 2-bedroom suites for their preps as well.

I suggest do an ocular so that you'll be able to see and decide for yourself :)

Thanks sis Caleeice! Went to Oakwood pero wala sila available rooms for ocular. Wait na lang daw magka vacant. Checked out out Marco Polo as well pero medyo alanganin ako kasi masikip yung rooms, mapapagastos pa kung mag aadd ng extra room for the entourage. :( Thanks so much Sis! :)

Try to go on a weekend. From what I know, they have more guests during weekdays. Agree that masikip rooms in Marco Polo, but at the time we checked their rooms, their suites were not yet available so we couldn't really tell. We got 3 one-bedroom suites in Oakwood (one for the bride, groom and the entourage) 1 two-bedroom suite for my relatives and 1 studio executive for my balikbayan friend. We were all satisfied with how big and nice the rooms are and so far have not heard any negative feedback :) It will also be more value for your money if you are able to get a membership card which will give you discounts for their food and rooms. Just PM me if you need info about their membership.

Sabi rin ng coordinator ko, hindi priority ng ERH ang wedding preps. Since mas marami raw nag bbook sa kanila for corporate events.

Thanks sis Caleeice! Eyeing to get their membership as well. Ask ko lang sis, do they allow early check-in and late check-out just in case? :) Thanks! :)

Sis, we asked about that before, and they do allow late check outs. But I think that depends on the availability of the room :) Not sure about early check in though.
