^^sis carlee, bellevue is super nice. We did an ocular last year of the function halls and rooms. Their packages are very comprehensive. Sobrang complete na and they are responsive also towards their prospective clients. If you have 200 or more guests, get their main ballroom which is very nice because of the high ceiling. I would like to have my reception here kaso ayaw nila bigay yung main ballroom nila sa kin since less than 200 yung guests ko.

share ko lang our thoughts nung nag ocular kami sa Ascott BGC the other night:

PROS: laki ng rooms! studio and 1-bedroom pa lang ang available for now, but they will also offer two-bedroom within the year. huge windows so good lighting. higher pa daw the ceilings on the two-bedroom units. its more affordable than other hotels in makati area and maganda din naman siya plus its almost brand new. they are not strict with the number of guests coming in and sa bringing in of food, pwede pa nga daw magpa-deliver. allowed din mag take pictures anywhere.

CONS: lobby is not that grand and not that much area for photo ops.

im thinking if important ba talaga the cons, maybe we can give that up if sobrang walang hassle naman dito compared to other hotels. we're also eyeing the new shangrila hotel at the fort pero not sure if when siya mag open.

Ako nga din ganyan ang prob. Nag occular kame kahapon for hotel on wedding preps. Ok sana ang Oasis Paco Park Hotel, hindi masyado maganda yung hotel for pictorial pero malaki yung rooms and affordable. Gusto na din ni hubby kase sa likod lang sya ng Paco Chapel na pagaganapan ng ceremony. Ako ayoko naman kasi wala ngang place for pictorial so nag Bayleaf kami after. Medyo naliiitan ako sa room pero dami place for pictorial. Dun ko na gusto and magbook na dapat kame pero wala yung sales manager nila that time kasi nag aask ako if me discount or rainy day promo kasi Sept pa yung date namin. They will email me daw pero decided na ko ke Bayleaf.

Sis nikky27, nagcheck in kame ng friends ko last Dec sa Marco Polo and nagpadeliver kame ng food and di naman nila kame pinagbawalan? Mineet lang namin si delivery man sa lobby tapos inakyat na namen yung food. Try mo lang idouble check dear😃

Hey bzbee! Those are the same sentiments I have regarding Ascott BGC. But I figured my photographer is a pro naman and he should be able to find good spots even if the hotel isn't as grand as Manila Peninsula. I booked the bridal suite and a room for my parents already. Tip: sign up as an online member on their website so you can get discounted rates.

I also booked Ascott BGC for our wedding preps because aside from the huge and nice rooms (I found their interiors even better looking than fairmont!), I think it will be easier for us to get to Santuario de San Antonio from BGC than from Makati Hindi rin naman kasi impt for me na may grand staircase sa shots ko kaya I think I will be happy with Ascott BGC

Sis galatea_spheres, pareho tayo! I'm also waiting for the 2-br units to open up for my fiance's family. I got a 1-br for myself as well but will ask them if they can give me the corner unit. Agree with you that the staff is super nice. I just hope the lighting is good!

Thanks sis bzbee! Yup lapit na and am so excited na parang nagugulat nga ako ngayon na wala na ako masyadong kelangan gawin or i-research (i got used to the frenzy haha) kasi i think -fingers crossed- booked and set na lahat

Sis reese17, i liked the layout of the corner units better, mas malaki yung foyer at parang mas madaming windows you can  email ascott (frontoffice.abgc at the-ascott.com), Im sure they will accomodate your request

^yes sis xsugar iba ang rates pag wedding preps. yung ibang hotel nga may corkage fee pa sa p/v e.

^ sis some hotels really charge higher when they find out that the rooms will be used for wedding preps. but for other hotels, it doesn't matter naman. before you book a hotel na lang, call them up first about the details just to make sure.

extra tip lang din, some hotels offer promo rates if you book with them directly via phone. even cheaper pa than agoda or booking.com. aside from promo rates, meron din corporate rates. iba pa yung membership cards. so before booking online, better call the hotel muna and ask about this, sayang din ang matitipid if ever.
