UPDATE: pareho lang ang rate na binigay ng oakwood sa akin at yung rates na nasa agoda. i booked the free cancellation rooms of oakwood, isang 2 bdr tsaka isang 1 bdr.

2 BDR executive = 9,202
1 BDR executive = 7,822

Total = 17,024

1k difference sa Total ng booking ko sa eastwood richmonde na 15,930.

parang nagugustuhan ko na rin ang oakwood. currently nakabook ako sa agoda ng 3 hotels:

1. Astoria -total= 12,720 -spacious rooms, few spaces for photo shoots, may charge na 500 per tray of food sa mga ipapasok na pagkain. Turn-off ito for me.

2. Eastwood Richmonde = 15,930 - nice interiors/lobby/staircase for photo shoot, pero masikip mga rooms
3. Oakwood = 17,024 - nice interiors for photo shoots, spacious rooms although not as spacious pa rin as Astoria. with an almost 5k difference.

Sayang din yung 5k na yun. it can be used to pay for our photobooth +projector/screen package na worth 4,500. hay naku. decisions, decisions.

^for me lang ha, i prefer the look and feel of oakwood than astoria.

our 2-br costs P8,500 each since we used the voucher from oakwood membership. then for the extra night(since we'll be staying there as well for our wedding night), we'll be using the P4,500 1-br voucher to be upgraded to 2-bedroom, by adding P2,500, so that's P7,000 lang for the next night. we didn't want the hassle of transferring rooms na kasi, even if we only need a 1-bedroom for the 2nd night.

other vouchers will be used by my family. so sulit talaga the P3,888 membership fee. aside pa from food discounts.

Hi mga sis!.. my preps as well as my reception will be at Eastwood Richmonde Hotel since along Commonwealth ang church namin.. I was able to check the rooms except the 2 BR suite since 2 lang yung ganun type ng room nila and most of the time occupied... for the 1 BR suite if your thinking na dun din  ento mo for preps medyo masikip nga kasi syempre ikaw sa room then the rest sa parang living room nila.. but they have a 1 BR Premiere na I was able to check din.. this one is more spacious coz meron dining area so maybe some of your ento can stay there...

but for my wedding I booked a 2 BR suite for me and my bridesmaids i only have 5 and 1 BR suite for my h2b since mga lalaki di naman kelangan madaming space and also my fiance's family will be staying on one of the condo unit same building ng Eastwood Richmonde hotel so I guess di namin kelangan magsiksikan..

Also i think magtataas na sila ng rates this OCTOBER for 2015...

yung promo ni Richmonde Hotel na 21 days advance booking, hindi kaya maubusan ng room kung ganun ka-late na ang pag-book? I also plan to book yung Premiere room nila..

^sis, they are offering a "21 days advance promo"... but to answer your question, based on the rates sent to me by Eastwood Richmonde, the rate for the 21 days advance promo is 12,510 php. h2b and i are planning to book the one-bedroom deluxe and a one bedroom premiere. the one-bedroom deluxe suite is around 20 sqm bigger than the premiere.

i still can't choose between Eastwood Richmonde and Astoria Plaza. I've booked them both in the meantime. sa Agoda by availing the free cancellation option.

Attractive din kasi for me ang Astoria because its rooms are 2x bigger than Eastwood Richmonde. what i don't like about Astoria though is that they impose a charge per tray or bilao of food brought into the rooms. Eastwood Richmonde has a grand staircase and a better looking lobby but Astoria has spacious rooms that can make wedding preparations more convenient.Another reason why i find it hard to decide is because h2b and i did not get to see the one bedroom deluxe of Eastwood Richmonde and also because we did not do an ocular visit of Astoria Plaza.   Please help...

Sis pag nagconfirm ka sa kanila na yun ang kukunin mong rate, they will send you a confirmation letter/form tapos may deadline lang na ibibigay sayo. Halimbawa, in my case, dec 19 ang intended date of stay. Nov 25 binigay na deadline sa akin. I think di naman mawawalan..

Im choosing Between La Breza or Coccon Boutique Hotel. Not as grand as Richmond pero maganda din naman and affordable. Pero we'll still have an ocular by next month😊

Kumuha ako thru agoda.com then yung suite room is around 7k at deluxe around 6k yata.. online booking yon..mas mababa daw kasi ang rate sabi ng taga richmonde na nakausap ko pag online booking. Kapag telephone booking mas mahal.

sis this is true.. h2b and I went to la-breza 2weeks ago to check the place..eto yung isang nieeye namin kasi mura lang wedding fee ayon sa mga nabasa ko dito sa GT.. OMG at sinabing nasa 10k na tas bawal na rin magpasok ng food, yung nabasa ko dati from a forum, sabi pwede daw kumain ang mga suppliers near the pool, ngayon hindi na, nirerecommend nila na dun namin pakainin sa resto nila.. jusko naman nung nicheck namin ang menu 350php na ata pinakamura (porkchop at 1 rice lang ata yun), sempre pag supplier medyo dagdagan ng onti ang food nun para di naman sila magutom.

yep sis. ganun ang ginawa ko.  nag email ako ng inquiry for their rates para sa dates na gusto ko. tapos sinabi nila may promo sila 21 days advance booking promo.

^ may rooms kasi sis na hindi inooffer sa agoda. direct lang mismo sa richmonde. yung binook ko sa 21 days advance booking promo nila, mas malaki kesa dun sa suite na 7k ng agoda. binook ko yung 7k 1bdr suite na yun sa agoda for my fiance. nag ocular kasi kami before magbook kaya nalaman ko na medyo maliit pala siya. nung una kasi binook ko ng free cancellation sa agoda yung 2 1BDR suite, pero after namion mag ocular, kinancel ko yung isa kasi naliitan ako.

yung 1BDR suite nila na malaki, hindi nila inooffer sa agoda yun. kaya yung room ko lang ang direct kong ibubook sa eastwood richmonde.

may mas malaki silang suite nasa 8,865. yun ang nireserve ko for myself para dun sa 21 days advance booking promo kasi nga mas malaki yung room. tska may breakfast for two na yun.

di naman nagkakalayo yung psis. yung  1 BDR deluxe na 7k sa agoda-- 7,065 ata yun, rooms only.-- tapos 7,335 naman yun sa promo rate nila with buffet breakfast for two.

yung Deluxe room naman sa agoda is 5,985 rooms only, tapos 6,255 siya sa Eastwood richmonde pero with buffet breakfast for two.

so for fiance, kinuha ko yung 7,065 sa agoda, room only. tapos room ko, yung 8,865 with buffet breakfast. plan ko, ang papagamitin ko ng buffet breakfast for two yung mga moms namin. tapos kami naman magpapadeliver na lang sa jollibee ng breakfast.

final na talaga kami sa eastwood richmonde kasi ayaw ng fiance ko sa ortigas, baka matraffic daw kami e kasi sa cainta ang wedding namin. so goodbye astoria and goodbye oakwood...

That way, we were able to compare the rates, rooms, hotel rules, promos and discounts, etc. From there, we narrowed down our choices. I don't know when it is advisable to book for hotel preps, but we booked ours 9 months away from our wedding date Yung iba kasi, hindi pa pwede (no rates yet) or sobrang mahal pa when it is more than a year away. Depends din on the hotel eh. Iba iba
