mga sis, kasi yung partner in life ko hirap makahanap ng work dito kasi kami sa dasma cavite nakatira computer engineer po ang tinapos niya kaso ang hirap po talaga makahanap ng work... 

nag wowork din po ako ngaun pero hirap kapag isa lang ang kumakayod... di kami makaipon at hanggang ngayon umaasa pa din kami sa mga magulang niya sa pagtira sa bahay...

gusto na naming bumukod pero wala pa kasi siyang work... sinubukan niya sa call center di siya pumapasa kasi di naman kasi siya fluent sa english pero marami siyang knowledge sa computer mga sis... sana po matulungan niyo po ako... salamat po Gobless

My brother graduated with a degree in Computer Engineering and he's currently working in a bank. Why  not tell him to apply in BDO or BPI? The latter has a competitive incentives program plus bonuses pa.

another suggestion, kuha siya ng Civil Service Exam if wala pa siya neto. Some agencies are hiring IT personnel and maganda din benefits. sa start hindi talaga malaki ang salary grade pero super okay naman benefits, not bad na for a start. IDK nga lang if until now may job order for IT pa ha. second hand info lang kasi hawak ko. at least pag may CS na sya, he's good to apply both in private and public sectors.

Is it similar to a software engineer? Last time i heard salary for this is around 65k for an ateneo grad

ask him to start small. the benefits/compensation and the job itself may not be rewarding but it is a good start.  the journey of a thousand miles start with a single step.

^^i think software engineers are computer science grads, and yes malaki ang sahod ng mga yan. A friend is one, UP grad naman sya.

My ex was a comp eng grad and he ventured into teaching in a state university.

kung hindi naman sya mapili sa work, marami akong nakikitang hiring sa mga 4yr course GRAD sa iba't ibang job search engines,  try nyo mag check dun tapos saka nyo puntahan isa isa.

tyagaan lang po talaga. sa panahon kasi ngayon, call centers ang madami. pero since grad nman sya ng 4-yr course, malaking advantage yun sa kanya.

Shrare ko lang situation namin ngayon, may plans na kami na magpakasal, may baby na rin kasi kami na 1 year old, so need na namin makaipon. What i encourage him to do is to do what he loves, what he is passionate about, which is cooking and baking.

Hopefully this time, swertehin na siya. I encourage him to open a small business na related sa baking/cooking. I believe kasi na sometimes, we don't have to wait for opportunity to knock on our doors, there are times that we have to make one for ourselves. So maybe, hopefully, this one will be his stepping stone.

Maybe your partner has other talents na pwede nia gamitin para kumita? Skills na pwede nia i-enhance para makapagnegosyo na lang siya? there are ways to earn naman, like freelancing or online jobs? keep on suggesting and encourage mo lang siya para lumakas loob niya magtry.

I know this reply is too late kasi 2014 pa itong thread.

Honestly nagulat ako...nagulat ako na ang isang Computer Engineering graduate ay hirap makahanap ng work.  The IT industry is one of the most generous industries ngayon sa Pilipinas.  Maraming nagsisimulang technical support sa call center or local IT technician sa mga opisina, bangko, etc.  Kahit dun sa ibang nagsisimulang contractual, yun yung mga tipong malayo ang naiaasenso eventually. 

I am with the IT industry kahit na licensed ECE ako.  Hindi man ako napadpad sa Telco industry, the IT industry has been so good to me.  IT professional din ang husband ko.  Maraming opening.  I was surprised hirap ang hubby ni TS.

Why not try freelancing? Marami naman site ngayon na nagooffer ng freelancing opportunities. Just don't lose hope, sis. May darating at darating na work para sa kanya
