So far, twice palang nangyayari sakin to, once sa Pinas and then sa Dubai. And both instances, I handled the same way. Effective naman.
Kasi ayoko ng confrontations. The mere fact na madali siyang manulot ng work ng ganun ganun na lang tapos gusto umako ng credits, it means hindi ko siya kayang talunin sa game na yan. So, what I did, I emailed her, cc our immediate superiors, and say, "...thank you so much for being very pro-active and taking care of the so and so reports. You really are a very valuable member of our team, this organization is so lucky to have you onboard. With the permission of our manager/CEO/VP, I would like to suggest that from this month when you solely and single-handedly handled this task/report very nicely, that this shall be part of your responsibility moving forward. I, in turn will now be responsible for this and that. I think this is win-win. If you have any suggestions, I am open to discuss this further. Again, good job on the so and so report/task!"
syempre I will email that the moment na sinulot niya ang work ko, timing is key! Before pa may sumabog na kapalpakan niya. If wala naman, e di sige, kanya na! This way, I was able to inform the "authorities" in a very good and professional way na hands-off ako sa ginawa niya, at the same time, hindi ko siya inantagonize. So whether palpak or not, eh labas na ako don.
So in both experiences ko, it just so happened na pumalpak siya lol! Our boss replied to that same thread to us 4 months later saying he appreciated it, but would rather revert to me handling it.
