Hi sissies. Question lang, kung mag night market kami, ano kaya mas okay na night market. 1 night lang kasi plan namin mag night market para ma experience lang. May kasama kasi kaming 8 year old and 2 years na kids. Kaya yung ginagawa kong itinerary eh yung hindi masyadong mahihirapan mga bata. Choices ko is Ximending and Shilin. Plan namin mag stay na hotel sa Ximending area.

^^kung ximending kayo sis, walking distance lang yon. pwede nyo syang isingit sa gabi then yong shilin sasadyain nyo talaga kasi malayo though di ko napuntahan yon. ang fave ko yong raohe, sobrang daming food & mga fruits

^kahit casual lang sis, mahirap lang talaga paakyat sa stairs. mas ok don kung 5-530pm start para maabutan nyo pa sunset. hehe dami kong stop kasi nakakapagod talaga, basang basa ako ng pawis, pero sulit naman view sa taas

Nakukulangan ako sa Ximending as a night market kasi maliit lang but if you have kids and senior citizens with you and the food they sell like the misua with intestines, the matcha ice cream, the popcorn chicken okay na rin naman.

Re pasalubong, hindi nagustuhan ang pineapple cake (I didn't get the best one anyway so understandable) pero for food, the roasted coffee beans, nougat and pork jerky were okay, sana nakabili ako ng sausage but takot ako sa customs kasi hindi naman siya luto. Locally branded shoes and their skincare maganda rin.

Sis sa mga palace magkano entrance? Sa CKS at national palace? Ano pa ba di dapat mamiss na palace?

Chia Te yung okay na brand ng pineapple cake according to reviews; didn't get to try it kasi medyo malayo ang store nila. Though meron sa ibang Family Mart na tinda naman.

Sa lahat ng natikman ko na free taste sa Taipei 101 na pineapple cake hahaha wala akong nagustuhan. Favorite ko sa Dobos Bakery, sa Ximending siya. Yun ang nasarapan ako And okay din daw pineapple cake sa may Jiufen, pero onti ang laman.

^^like what Runbarbierun said, Chia Te ang the best, and the good thing is meron siya sa Klook, airport pick up. Another brand na lagi ko nababasa and mas mahal yata is Sunnyhills. Nang pumunta ako sa Din Tai Fung main branch meron din sila pineapple cake next to other souvenirs like sauce, chopsticks, etc. Puwede rin to arrange with the hotel concierge to buy them for you, as I recall in the hotel I?ve stayed at they were advertising that they can order Sunnyhills and Chia Te for delivery to the hotel.

tour jiufen/shifen/yehliu/golden waterfalls/yin yang sea area via leo sen taxi tour (english speaking driver/tour guide 3500ntd for 8 hours - for 4pax)
- is 8 hours enough for these places or possible na maextend kami?
- ok na ba yun 3500 ntd quote niya? kukuha sana kami sa klook (1100+ per pax) kaya lang bus tour kasi yun and marami ibang tao kasama. which one is better ba? anyone na nakatry na sa klook?

also, any reviews for northeast coast tour ng klook (1700 per pax) na Nanya Coast + Bitou Cape Park+ Fulong Visitor Center + Sandiao Cape Lighthouse + Beiguan Tidal Park, + Waiao Tourist Center (mr. brown cafe castle)? another option ko kasi sa 3rd day ito then Yangmingshan or Beitou + Nat'l Palace Museum na lang on 4th day. will drop taipei zoo and maokong though if ito yun sundin namin na itinerary.

^I won't recommend the Klook bus tour for Jiufen, Shifen, etc. if you have a senior citizen, a young child or a person with disability in your group. With Klook, di niyo mapapakiusapan ang driver to drop you off somewhere closer to the main entrance. Sa driver/tour guide maski mahal at least puwede kayo makiusap and kayo ang may control sa oras niyo.

Malaki yung Yangmingshan... I think hindi sya kaya ng morning lang, considering it opens at 9am... We spent a whole day here and only got to explore 3 sites out of 9. Or will you be bringing your own car inside?

Then, you'll have Tapei Zoo / Gondola, which is on the other side of Taipei... if Ximending is Megamall, Yangminshan is SM North EDSA and Taipei Zoo/Gondola is NAIA airport...

^Wuvshoe, puwede ba Yangmingshan without a guide/driver? May kasama kasi akong 2 seniors so ayaw ko sila mapagod and might use one recommended by a [textspeak!]-Taiwanese friend of my sis.

^^Glyzza026, are you referring to the Ximending branch of City Inn Plus? I stayed there last June. I recommend it highly. Nasa quiet part ng Ximending, near exits 3 and 4 of the subway. Two things I didn't like were the thin walls (of course I shouldn't be surprised because it's 3 stars) and the shower/bath tub na napakataas so if you have short legs you have to be careful while stepping out. I'm staying there again on the last week of December.

Kahit saan naman na hotels in Taipei okay kasi very easy to navigate ang kanilang train (para lang SG and HK, unlike Japan na napakahirap) and kung 4 kayo in a group, just go by taxi which is not that expensive, parang mas mahal pa nga sa Manila. For my visit this December I opted for hotels in Ximending, Xinyi and Daan para maranasan different vibes of Taipei area.
