Got back from Taiwan a week ago, we went Feb14-18.
It was tiring but enjoyable trip, grabe taiwan sa street food! Hindi ko na alam paano kakainin lahat, like literally I want to put lahat ng nakikita ko na food in my mouth...
Taipei City is just wow, for me, comparable to Korea and Japan ang feel nya, though meron din chinese feel sa ibang areas, a mix of old and new. Galing.
We couldn't get enough of awe and admiration sa kanila, sa environment and the country as a whole. Mababait nga ang tao unlike HK and SG.
Here's our itin:
1st day arrival, hostel at Ximending at around 8-9pm, went around Ximending.
2nd day- Taipei City tour- Chiang Kai Shek Mem Hall, Taipei 101 and Elephant Trail, Shilin Night Market- MRT lang lahat
3rd Day- Yehliu, Jiufen and Shifen, bus tour from Klook, sulit na din even though bus drop off and service lang siya, not the usual na may nagsasalita to explain what you see. If you read enough about the places, ok na din. If you prefer yung tour talaga with guide mas expensive of course,
We planned na mag commute sana, but nag think twice ako kasi nga dami transfers, mas tipid kung commute of course. I paid 770php worth sa Klook.
After ng whole day na pagod, Raohe Night market naman.
4th Day- Xinbeitou, Tamsui and Ningxia Night market, hindi ko nagawa yung ferry ride sa Tamsui coz we met a taiwanese friend, naubos time sa chika lang, plus ayaw din nila mag ferry.
Xinbeitou Hotsprings, went to Thermal Valley. Sayang nagmadali kami, I would want to experience sana spa offered ng hotels, I didn't book though. Meron naman public bath, hindi ako nalalakihan sa area nila, but ok na siguro yun coz come and go ang tao, and puro senior citizens na mainland ang tao. Kaloka. We bought tickets already sa ticket machine lang nila outside sa entrance, but when we entered, pinababalik kami, nag close pala sila from 12-1 yata, eh we have to hurry coz my i-meet kami sa Tamsui. Nabenta namin yung isang ticket outside, mejo may edad na din nabentahan namin, but lost in translation as in, puro sign language na lang na we have to go, eventually nagkaintindihan na kmi, and siya pa naghahanap ng mabebentahan ng other ticket, we bought 2 kase, kaso wala na eh, so we decided na iwan na lang sa kanya. 20NTD lang entrance, but bring swimsuit.
Before night market, we went to Sogo Mall's Grace Gift, it's like their version of Marks and Spencer, dami brands inside. Sabi kasi nung taiwanese na friend namen may sale daw. We bought boots and shoes, ranging from 500-1k php lang, walang ibang namimili, locals lang yata. haha chaos but good buys.
5th day- We went out late, after checkout na sa hostel, then to Taipei City Hall, hoping to see some cherry blossoms, 1 blogger kasi last year of the same time may cherry blossoms na sa park near Taipei City Hall, pero none this year yet. Sayang. Then got to see taipei 101 in broad daylight on our walk on the way to ATT4Fun na mall, malapit lang, hindi na masyado nakaikot sa mall, hinanap ko lang yung moon bus, hindi ko din nakita or wala na ba? anyway, then went back to Sogo again for the sale, then Ximending for dinner and last minute buys then off to airport with super heavy heart! We didn't want to leave!
1 week na mejo sepanx pa din kami.
