Just a question mga sisses, possible ba to use a US Visa na C1/D for application ng Taiwan single entry visa? I am an OFW, and I use my US Visa na C1/D (for seafares) sa work ko. Plan ko sana is next year, when I go back to Philippines, imbis na diretcho ako ng Pinas, mag stop over ako sa Taiwan for 5 days. Possible kaya yun? or permanent resident or B2 Visa (tourist) lang accepted ng Taiwan government sa application?

finally booked flight and hotel for our january trip to taipei. my friend and i are staying in city inn 2 hotel. maganda feedback sa tripadvisor. has anyone tried staying here? also, since winter ang january trip namin dun, ok lang ba leather jacket and boots? or kailangan hardcore winter gear? hehe. thanks in advance

Went to Taipei for the 2nd time last Dec 10-14. Weather was 16C but was windy, so it was pretty cold. Some people were wearing bubble jacket na rin and tights.

My Mom didn't enjoy Taipei hahahaha sungit din ng tao sa Wufenpu unlike when I visited a year ago. Ximending's still great though!

I'm still in search for an affordable hotel to stay. Yikes, almost 2 months to go nalang. Any suggestions mga sis?

Pag sa Taipei, we always use Airbnb! Never had any bad experience. We stayed sa Ximending this year, last year Zhongxiao Fuxing

Yung sa Ximending, 7 kami with 1 kid. P22000 total namin for 3 nights. Not bad na! (Minus 2500 siya kasi may coupon code Smart!)

hehe kasi wufenpu sellers dont allow buyers to fit their items, and the items are all on display kaya if you get one from the sacks/stocks nako super sinusungitan talaga nila customers

weather in January is a bit cold maybe 15-17 during day time, but can get colder at night... i would suggest bringing coat or bubble jacket, light down feather from uniqlo is good too, layer nalang with their heat tech tops.

@mdj10, we had a wonderful driver when we visited Taichung, including Cingjing Farm, etc. He drove us around for 3 days. He was kind, honest, at hindi mabilang. His rates were also very affordable. Hi @mdj10 i know a driver kaya lang the problem is language barrier... hindi siya nakaka pag English. I would suggest visiting Tripadvisor threads kasi may recommendations sila usually ng mga driver.

Yes! So cold from Saturday-Monday! Nung Sunday it was 3 degrees here in Taipei, coldest ever in my 7years of stay. Nagsnow sa mountain areas Come here during spring, it's beautiful!
