Just got back from Taipei medyo umiinit na then it rains in the afternoon. Last Monday it was rainy the whole day. Loved our airbnb apartment, very near Shida Night Market.

Loved the ice cream peanut roll and squid balls in Jiufen, and Raohe Market's pepper buns! Of course, Din Tai Fung is a must eat!

Dami lang tao sa Jiufen so hirap umikot. Shilin was too crowded din. Mas nag enjoy ako sa Shida for shopping, and Raohe/ Jiufen for food.

Fave ko rin yung ice cream peanut roll! Pero sa Ximending ko siya natikman haha Hindi ka pumunta sa Wu Fen Pu sis? Super okay shopping dun!

Mga sis, gaano kalamig sa Taipei kapag December?

If i have a 9-hr layover in taiwan, will i be able to see something? how far is the airport from the sites? tenchu in advance.

^ About an hour to Taipei City ang Taoyuan via bus You can easily go to Taipei 101 and kahit Chiang Kai Shek if you want.

For those who have tried going to Jiufen by train/bus, kamusta naman? I am a bit apprehensive about taking the Pingxi line because I read in a blog post that this line tends to be very crowded tapos nakatayo kayo the entire duration of the trip. Would it be better to book a tour instead? Parang hindi rin worth it mag tour because I actually just want to go to Jiufen and Houtong cat village.

Also wanted to clarify. Pag may exitsing Japan 3-year multiple entry visa USED ONCE (Japan entry/exit), no need to make an appearance at TECO anymore right? Just fill out the form at the BOCA website tama ba? Sorry. I know a similar query has been posted here already. Just making sure. Meron kasi akong friend who missed out a crucial step, dala lang niya yung US visa niya and got deported airport to airport.

Thanks krabby_patty. Can I ask ano yung crucial step? As long as valid ang visa nya from US, Oz, etc... pwede yun. Yung sa daughter ko expiry ng Sept ang Aus visa pero single entry lang at nagamit na so hindi na pwede.
