Hi sis rhed, here are the rates of my OB (Dra. Elizabeth Joan Esguerra-Ocampo):

I'm not sure kung mas mura sya sa ibang OB kasi hindi na ako nagcanvass sa iba.

gave birth last august 15 in st. lukes bgc. scheduled CS. Total bill less philhealth is around 120k. stayed for 3 days. pf of my ob is 50, anes is 20 then pedia is 10k.the rest are hospital miscellaneous..

^didnt avail of the package. i think hindi nagpapackage si ob. so far my experience sa St. Lukes is good. I also chose the semi private room (2 beds, shared restroom) mas mura kasi and fortunately wala nag occupy sa kabilang room so parang solo na rin namin [textspeak!] room

^ i think meron mga ob na hindi kasama sa package ng hospital. hindi rin connected si Ob sa any HMO. in fairness, 120k is not bad. mahal lang talaga PF ni OB

ah ok sis. yung cs kasi na package i think nasa 112k .. okay na rin yang 120k, may kakilala ako umabot ng 150k nun. st lukes qc pero nsd siya.

Jaimeko, sino ob mo? Ang mura.. Kasi ako emergency cs nga lang pero 204,000 binayaran namin lahat lahat. 75k sa ob, 30+ sa anaes, 15+ sa pedia. Halos 100k din for hospital bills. Bale 4 nights ata ako sa hosp, nagextend lang kami hehe
Pero jusko ang mahal mahal kainis

^yes sis private room. Dra. Guinto. Quote nya nung nagtanong kami prepare daw 180k. Okay naman si baby, ni room in nga lang sya kinabukasan kasi tinest sya kasi nga 40w na ako hehe Pag binabanggit ko kay hubby yung binayaran, okay lang daw kasi magaling si ob & mas ok private kasi nga ako nun hirap na hirap kumilos talaga & mega cry. Eh pag may kashare kasi din sa cr, parang hassle. Pero kami lang yun hehe

^thanks sis for sharing. I think her specialty has something to do with her PF, mahal talaga ang Perinatologist alam ko. may officemate ako na ganyan din ang OB nya, iba talaga ang rates.

Yes correc, sis. Kaya ganun Sono din sya. Kaya next baby, gusto ni hubby sya pa din, gusto ko sana sa mura mejo.

Question sa mga nag CS sa st luke's, how many people were present in the room while having the operation?  I was just thinking of my birthing plan, and major part of that is I don't want any resident doctors to be present during my operation.  I am after all a paying patient, so why should expose myself?

I was pretty happy with my experience here but I specifically remember leaving and seeing 2 women and a man sitting near the exit and wondering what they were doing in the room while I was exposed.  How do you discuss this with your doctor?

^hindi ko na alam ilan tao sa DR. Hmmm si ob, anaes, pedia, guy nurse, nurse (okay chineck ko yung picture ni hubby, 7 or more sila) hahaha

Honestly maganda experience ko, in the sense na hindi ako nahirapan saka mabilis lang. Pero yung unang yakap hindi ko maalala!! Sabi ni hubby ipinatong daw si baby sa akin at pinalatch, eh ewan nya ilang mins lang, wala kwenta kausap haha May pic kami na tinabi sakin si baby, gosh hindi ko yun maalala. Tapos wala din kami first family picture. Saka pagpasok nya, nailabas na si baby. Lechhh. Naalala ko lang hinahanap na ni ob ko si hubby, walang tumawag. So sad. Next time idiscuss ko pala yung ganun.

As I remember my OB, anes, pedia, 2 nurses then may someone na parang naglinis kay baby. We also had a very good experience. Yung anes pa mismo nagtake ng lahat ng pic ni husband and baby na super dame talaga, Made my husband really happy and makes him want to give birth again next year lol  But honestly you get what you pay for. Regarding sa pagcontrol ng tao I am not really concerned talaga pero days before ako manganak si husband ko ang may arte na ayaw nya ng male nurse kasama sa operation kahit daw bading pa, si OB ang kumausap sa kanya hindi ko na maalala ano napagusapan nila basta ang ending is naging okay lang sa kanya. Kasi parang kung sino ata talaga ang duty ng time na yun parang yun ang susundin.
