How much is your wedding budget? Part 5

To be honest part of it depends on your guests as well.

Like if you have very sosyal relatives or friends who have high standards and hate being hassled, best to book a guest house or hotel rooms for them. Sila na sa transpo and gas if they all have cars, they would appreciate the room more.

 For our part, we'll be booking and shouldering additional room for both our immediate families, bridesmaids and groomsmen, as well as balikbayan relatives to keep them comfortable. It was made part of the budget, including their breakfast. Tentative pa if we're also booking rooms for the principal sponsors who may want to be there the day before already to avoid waking up too early.

blackgreen, I think it depends din kung anong circumstances ng friends mo. My friends are all in their late twenties and early thirties, so we're all relatively established career-wise. I think if we'd tried to have a destination wedding when we were all a bit younger and less financially secure, they would've been a lot less game about coming.

Pagdating naman talaga sa mga destination weddings, the key there is the save the date and the relationship with the guests.  Hahaha.  I say this because majority of my h2b's guests will come from the US.  Even though our wedding is slated January 2016, he informed them as early as last year about the airfare, accommodations and what not.  We're releasing save the dates by the end of the month, and we've asked a couple of relatives to help find flights for his guests.

And by relationship, I mean the closeness between the guest and the couple.  H2b's boss maintains a very good relationship with him, so it wasn't nakakatampo for h2b's part when his boss said he can't afford to attend.  Also, like I said earlier, we're just working out discounted accommodations for those who will come here.  RSVPs for overseas guests will come early too, and as courtesy for their visit, we're also arranging a day tour for everyone who will come here.  For those who won't be able to attend, we'll host a lunch/dinner reception when I've migrated.  Tapos dun na lang sa reception ipapalabas, the SDEs, wedding highlights, etc.

Sabi nga ni Robin Padilla (hyuck), kanya kanyang diskarte yan.    If you can afford to cover for them, why not?  If you can't, don't be shy to say so.  Besides, the only one's you owe an explanation to will be the people who don't need or want it.  <3

Thank you mga sis sa insights niyo. I really appreciated it. Honestly, we cannot shoulder the expenses of all guests. Immediate families pa lang kumakain na ng budget. Though, we considered this naman, just hoping na baka pwede ma-transfer. Hahaha..

Yan din iniisip namin, we will have another get-together for my friends, parang mangyayari by location na lang yun reception. I think mas less ang gastos and less hassle pag ganito ang set-up. I will just play and show to them yun documentation nung kasal.

Yes, sis blackgreen, keri na yun at gets na nila yun!  Also, bilang ako ay fan ng snail mail at postcards, when the time comes to send thank you notes, included pa rin kahit the ones who did not get to attend.

Don't fret over things you have no control over.  Enjoy your planning!   First practice ninyo 'to sa magiging buhay ninyong mag-asawa.  For sure there will be instances when not everyone can go to the family outing or to birthday parties and the like. Don't question your composure and your grace!  Kayang kaya mo yan.

^ hi sis! Just inquire so that you'll be armed with info! =) From the hotels you've mentioned the most affordable is Sofitel esp because ther packages has lots of inclusions. Kaya siguro 800k for 150 pax as long as you keep all your other expenses in check, and perhaps use the in-house flowers that come with the wedding package. Good luck and happy preps!

Were sticking sa 300k budget. Mostly kasi DIY kami. Venue (tagaytay wedding cafe) at caterer (towns delight) lang yung inaryahan namin ng "OK" na budget.

Just pulled off a 200k Tagaytay intimate wedding for 90 guests. Initial budget was 120k... Nung papalapit na ng papalapit, palaki na ng palaki... pero super tipid pa yan. But oh well... We can always make money but not memories. Just make sure we live within our means, para after ng wedding eh hndi naman tayo baon sa utang...

hello sis aicute12 if i remember correctly you're a dec 25 caleruega bride, tama ba? congrats din sissy! super galing mo 90k for 50pax! super intimate. ganyan ang gusto ko kaso dami ko kamag anak. di naman pede mag invite ng isang pinsan, tas yung kapatid nya di mo invite... pero intimate parin kasi lahat kamag anak and immediate fam namin and 10 lang yung cmmon friends namin... kaya lahat mgkakakilala talaga

Sis, is the 800k solely for reception or your budget for the entire wedding na? I think it would be enough as long as you don't get upgrades, etc. what hotels offer kasi in their packages are almost basic. If you want better floral centerpiece, that calls for an upgrade.

My cousin got married in San Agustin church few years back. Reception nila is Palacio de Maynila. Packages ng palacio can be browsed online sis para may idea ka.. pero sa church di ko alam how much.
