I usually only post sa money/finance forums pero singit na rin ako dito.
I recently got married for under 250K. We only had 100 guests. Eto yung beakdown, for those of you na interested sa budget wedding ko:
Church (Air conditioned, with flowers, carpet, and choir) = 30,000
Food – 1,100+ per person weekday dinner buffet at Hyatt hotel x 100 = 110,000
Gown = 10,000
Suit for groom = 10,000
2 simple gowns for 1 maid of honor and 1 bridesmaid – 1,500 each = 3,000
Rings - 12,00 each x 2 = 24,000
Hotel suite = 12,000
Photographer = 35,000
Invitations (home-made) = Siguro 2,000
Car and driver – free, courtesy of a ninong who has a Mercedes Benz
Other expenses estimation (licences/permits, attending the pre-cana seminar, etc.) – 20,000
GRAND TOTAL – 246,000
Instead of spending it on the wedding, my husband and I are going on a two-week vacation in Paris! Booked na this December. Yahoo!
I know this style if not for everyone, pero for us, masaya naman. We are not really the type na comfortable with being the center of attention sa reception, so we chose to forego yung usual programs (yung mga may projector and presentation , dance, etc.) Don’t get me wrong—I appreciate those pag uma-attend ako ng ibang weddings, but for us, hindi lang talaga bagay sa personality namin.
The guests enjoyed the Hyatt buffet, busog sila, very chill lang nothing formal. We asked them to wear smart cocktail attire lang para di naman OA for such a simple event. And since 100 lang, we got to go around the tables and talk to them talaga. Super saya.
Wala din kami ginastos for church and venue decorations kasi kasama na yung flowers and sa church. Yung sa hotel dinner naman din a kailangan pa i-decorate.
We’re looking forward to our PARIS HONEYMOON this December. Eto talaga yung dream namin, not a grand wedding but a grand honeymoon! So excited!
