The first thing to do is set your budget.  I think the problem is you are doing it the other way around. If you are really getting what you really like then expect that your expenses will really be high.  There are photo and video packages that you can get around 75k that is really nice na.  But if you have more than enough money to spend then go for whatever you like.

I set a max for each vendor/supplier and adjust accordingly. What surprised me was a quotation of an Event stylist, it was more than the reception package which was a buffet for 100 with different inclusions and to think it was a 5 star hotel. With this one I have to say no.

Oh di ko alam yan Themes & Motifs office.

Most of our suppliers don't have their own office kasi so we really need to meet outside.
Dati kasi ok lang pero pag malapit na pala, oh em gee kailangan ng savings!
Effort to find an affordable but good coffee shop Then sometimes may hiya factor pa if the supplier would feel na tinitipid sila.

Isa pa kasing factor is yung time spent during the meeting. Some of our meetings have gone mga 3-4 hrs long! Initial meeting palang yun.. so kung sa coffee shop, mapapa order ka ng mapapa order haha

Yung Themes & Motifs na office is called The Wedding Lodge.  It's one of the boutiques ng Makati Shang along Ayala Avenue na side. Hindi sha inside the hotel

so far, feeling ko blessing talaga yung mga booked major suppliers namin.
venue: oasis manila - 5min walk from h2b's house. we can drop by almost any time to talk to our ae personally pag may concerns kame. very roomy din ang bahay nila h2b so my relatives can stay there before the wedding and tipid sa hotel. yung room for preps na lang ang major concern ko dahil gusto ko sana sa oasis na din para may hotel feel naman.
catering: m catering - 10min drive from oasis. pag may inquiry kame, malapit lang din sila para kausapin and it's kind of comforting na hindi masyadong mahihirapan sa transportation ng pagkain.
P/V: BHD - 5min drive from my house.
kaya i prefer talaga na napupuntuhan ko personally yung mga suppliers para nakakausap ko sila ng masinsinan at nakikita ko kung pano nila i-present yung sarili nila sa mga clients. also, pag nagka-aberya... madali din silang habulin.
ang laki na ng tipid namin dahil ayaw talaga naming kumuha ng hotel or bridal car pero we're still running at around 400k. God-willing sana di umabot ng 425k.

Just want to share some things na medyo i think sulit or cheAp, bawas na rin sa gastos ni H2B
1.) our flowers- we booked our flowers at allana's flowershop in dangwa, matagal ko na rin silang kilala kaya medyo magandang presyo na binigay nila sa akin. Around 8k lang ( knwing flowers sa feb ay super expensive) for the whole entourage and P.S. ( the flowers consist of carnation, bangkok roses, star gazer. Paper roses, million star imported yellow buttons, and cenbidium -for the groom)

2.) invites- we might change from invites by kenneth to unifair, i saw cute invites for only 75 pesos each. But i still need to ask for h2b approval on this.

3.) car- we will just borrow  from his uncle

4.) no prenup stylist- im used to go to divi naman, and i have someone to help me out

5.) no event stlyst- we will just upgrade the P.S table and we will just chose basic back draft

6.) cake- medyo expensive yung cake namin, 30k but ang taas naman nya is 5"4, plus 6 mini cake and puno na ng fresh flowers, so we dnt need bongang backdraft.

7.) souvineer- flipbook orig price 19k for 4hrs but we got it at 13k

8.) strings- forgot the exact amount i think it is cheaper ng 4k from orig price kasama na sa church

9.) tuxido- orig price is 35k but nung nalaman nyang brother ko si.... He automatically gave us big discount. We save 10k for h2b tuxido

10.) bridal bouquet- my friend na addict sa flowers will give this as a wedding gift. After seeing the design of my bouquet..sabi ko i save more or less 10k. Super happy

11.) prenup location- we initially plan sa village na lang ni h2b but sabi niya paranf ang corney namn.. So pumayag na siya sa tagaytay highland but i find oa sa mahal. Cause we need to pay 25k for week end package plus 2.5 for guest card plus 8k additonal for out of town charge ng photo and make up artist. Then after few days i saw greenery for only 5k, so doon na lang kami

Sa case namin 35k yung ring namin gusto kasi ni fiance after 5yrs magpalit kami. Priority namin PV then caterer. Di din kami kumuha ng stylist kahit prenup di kasi kami maarte sa mga ganon ang theme namin is simple. Yun lang talaga.

Nung nagba budget kami nagseset kami ng estimate sa isang supplier ang saya saya lang pag nakakabook kami na nakakasave kami ng 5k or 10k ang laking savings na kasi. Pero di namin dinadagdag yun sa ibang supplier pang buffer na namin kasi alam namin madami pang gastos sa actual day

Like one priority I have is my wedding ring. Mas gusto ko gumastos kami for a very nice wedding ring, rather than us spend for a gown hehe. bec I get to wear  my ring every single day. Plus jewelry is also an investment hehe but not a gown.

Same tayo sis. Ako din I'd rather splurge on the rings since forever mo yun susuotin. Sa gown, good thing super affordable nung couturier ko, sya din gumawa gown ng sister ko, mom ng HS friend namin. Si HS friend magdedesign tapos si mom nya gagawa.

Ako din caterer talaga ang pinakamalaking budget namin. Yung p/v nga hindi pa masyado since i found one na super mura and super nagustuhan ko yung work nila. As for styling, for me pinterest is the way to go! Daming ideas na pwede i DIY.

With our prenup wala kami masyado props kase sobrang candid yung peg namin. Matress and white comforter lang kelangan namin na pwede naman kunin lang sa bahay. Tapos yung outfits casual lang din, wala kaming formal attire.

^^I agree na di good investment ang gown. Right after my wedding, I am planning to sell it agad agad, wala akong space for it sa condo na lilipatan namin. Good investment ang wedding rings. Though dadating ang time na you will really have to change, di naman forever ganyan ang size ng fingers natin. My mom and dad had theirs changed twice. Same gold, pero tinunaw and re-designed. Sumisikip din kasi, and minsan they want to update lang the design. They did the last design change nung Silver anniv nila yata

1/3 ng budget namin went to the catering/venue package. Kasi yun naman talaga yung kumbaga "major attraction" sa wedding for the guests hehe, let's be honest.

Aside from that yung medyo malaki ay P/V lang (pero di pa rin ganun ka-mahal ah, less than 50k).

And the rest maliit na budget na lang allotted for: invites (principal sponsors, entourage and relatives only since 1 invite per family lang naman; the rest of our friends e-invites lang), souvenirs, gown, suit, hmua, OTD coordination, rings, band, flowers, church, mobile bar or bar set up (we're planning for DIY bar since we really do not like the "all-gin" cocktails being served sa mobile bars, we find them cheap; unless you get the top of the line mobile bars that serve good cocktails siguro, pero syempre mahal yun. Eh we want our wedding party to be a party talaga, literally, hindi lang program.)  Sa small items na to syempre the budget varies pero certainly walang lagpas 20k dyan sa alin man sa mga yan.

I was thinking of really DIY-ing the bar. May nakita kasi akong photo sa wedding na yung bar nila is table lang, then may super big metal bucket na puno ng wines, ice, beers, etc. Ang cool! Yung booze nila yung mga "drinkable" talaga, and may mga mahal na klase. Yun naman talaga ang iinumin dba? Goal ko kasi malasing mga guests namin haha. Ang prob lang dito, paano yung ice, paano yung mga gamit? yung bar tender / staff?
You can ask your caterer if they offer a bar set up. For example sa Hizon's you can avail of their bar set up for 5K, inclusive of ice, waiter, utensils, yung mismong complete bar set up. No booze included.  Sa iba naman wala silang ganun pero they can provide you a desk lang, and you can buy ice from them. Hire ka na lang bar tender / bar staff.

Sa wedding namin we had DIY beer station instead na kumuha kami ng as in mobile bar super expensive eh  and part ng college life ni hubby ang beer tapos di naman masyado sosyal mga guests namin mas ma-appreciate pa nila ang beer as in we set-up a table na may buckets and ice pero yung mga beers (as in local beers like san mig light, red horse  ) inilabas na lang sya when the program was about to end nagpa-assist na lang kami sa caterer namin and yung sister ko in-assign ko mag-manage. Ok naman sya sayang nga wala picture yung set-up, we gave out beer stubs during registration time.

Tapos pala pati coordinator, I am choosing an affordable coordinator. Grabe na kasi yung price nung ibang coordinator nasa 40 plus for OTD!! Gawd... aanohin ko yun?  Seriously... too much for an OTD service.

ang isa sa nakatulong para hindi kami mag-over sa budget but restricted us in a way is that we booked a small venue. we have to limit our guests and kahit gusto namin magdagdag for example ng mobile bar, we can't since we are restricted by space.

sa ngayon ito ang breakdown pero hindi pa kasama yung prenup expenses (venue, HMUA).
