Madali lang talagang magcommute via jeepney sa Baguio. Either sa palengke lang, burnham at gilid ng session paradahan ng mga jeepney.

It's been raining na talaga for a straight week. Agahan na lang mamasyal sa umaga since ulanin sa hapon.

Had a fun family time in Baguio. Medyo kulang lang ata ang time especially if you have kids in tow. Kase plan ko sana relax relax na lang kami sa last day. Oh, maybe it's because of the rain also. Kase sa hapon umuulan so limited to move around. The strawberry shortcake in Vizco's is superb! Ang sarap! Comment ko lang, parang naging masyadong commercialized na ang Mines View Park?

Sis, matagal nang ganun ang state ng Mines View. Last time I went there medyo natuwa ako kasi wala na yun mga St. Bernard. Actually every time a friend asks me re Baguio itinerary, I don't suggest Mines View. Hehe But since it's a famous place, sinasabi ko na lang if feel lang nila hehe

For the last 10 years na pabalik balik ako ng Baguio ilang beses lang talaga ako namasyal, whenever I travel alone or with few family members or kahit asawa ko, dun lang kami sa malalapit sa session, mostly resto lang na nakasanayan na namin. We just enjoy the cold weather.

Thanks sa replies and tips here. We stayed in Le Chateau. Bait ni Kuya Sonny, he gave the pink room for 3k instead of 4k.

Too bad ulan ng ulan sa hapon.
Sa Camp John Hay pala you can have food trip, andun na ang pizza volante, vizco's, hillstation.

We went to strawberry farm sa last day namin, putik na paa inabot namin. Ginagawa yung roads plus umuulan pa. Watch out also kasi may ibang entrance pala dun. Sadly dun kami nakapasok sa hindi strawberry side. Napagod na kami maglakad so we didnt bother trying strawberry picking anymore. Excited pa naman daughter ko dun.

And yes, ang mura kumaen sa baguio!

Was disappointed too sa price ng gulay, same price na lang din sa manila so di na rin kami bumili dahil mabigat lang sa sasakyan.

We'll definitely go back in Baguio. So love the weather!

We also came back from Baguio just last weekend May 29-June 1. Sarap matulog sa hapon it rained and I really missed the cold and foggy weather. Ang ginawa namin lang is puro food  trip. The restaurants we recommend are:

Chef's Home - asian resto when we went for Sunday dinner reserved na daw the whole place. However, since maaga kami and wala pa mga nagparesesrve they accommodated us. The best Tom Yum soup I've tasted and the squid with salted egg ang sarap rin. One order is good for two.

Grumpy Joe 's - Sarap ng Grumpy Joe's burger served with fries and coleslaw. The best rin ang onion rings. Refillable pa yung dip.

Amare - Best thin pizza. Plus the pesto pasta you can really taste the freshness of the sauce.

Bistro Hill Station - My hubby didn't like his spicy chorizo pasta but I ordered the Dulong  pasta, ang sarap. Only now did I like sundried tomatoes ang sarap pala.

Regarding the veggies you have to go to hill top to get the really low prices. Dun yung bagsakan ng gulay. And look for the stalls na farthest from the entrance. If sa bungad kasi ng palengke mahal pa dun. We bought:

Broccolli - 50/ kilo pero this wala na yung tangkay. So imagine ang dami. If may tangkay pa 30 pesos per kilo.
Large size bell pepper - 65/kilo
Cauliflower - 35/kilo
French string beans - 40/kilo
Potatoes medium size - 20/kilo
Lemon - 30/kilo
Zucchini - 25/kilo
Young corn - 100/kilo
Lettuce - 100/kilo
Carrots - 20/kilo
Cucumber - 25/kilo

Overall we enjoyed our trip. We stayed at Baguio Chalet the best ang premier room nila. Ganda to wake up in the morning with the view of pine trees and the mountains.

May nag taxi na ba dito to La Presa?magkano fare? Nagpahintay ba kayo or nagabang na lang nung pabalik ng Baguio? Sobrang lubak lubak ba?

Dun sa taxi n npgtanungan ko. 1k ang rate 2way n. But I think you can still haggle, kasi nakuha ng friend ko at 800 balikan. May jeep nmang papunta pero I don't know kung hngang saan lang ang turning point nila. Hindi nman lubak lubak yung road. Yung part lang na papunta sa bahay nina Agnes.

hello mga sis baka may recommended accommodations kayo (transient or inn or hotel) na affordable naman at senior citizen and baby-friendly? i am thinking of visiting baguio para ipasyal parents ko but will also tag along my 4mos baby if ever.

^ hi sis heavensent. Although good weather naman sya sa for the past 2 days. It is best to cover most of the attractions in the morning kasi minsan umuulan sa hapon although it stops naman within an hour or two.

my comments on your itinerary:
Fri: magkakalapit lang to (you can cover this in 2 hours or less)
      -botanical garden
      -wright park (there is a stairs going up, lusutan nya sa Mansion)
      -Mansion
      -Good Shepherd (walking distance lang to from Mines View Park)
      -Minesview Park
       
You can have lunch sa Ketchup Community opposite ng Wright Park or you can go straight to Camp John Hay. Sa Techno Hub madaming kainan doon. May way sa Wright Park na exit nya is sa John Hay. Ano yung pnp sa Sat? Is it PMA? Kasi after John Hay, you can go straight to PMA. Same lang kasi yung route nya. If you still have time in the afternoon, mag Burnham kayo. Do drop at the Baguio Orchidarium. Gilid lang ng burnham for some nice photo op. Then you can walk sa Baguio Market for more pasalubong. You can also do burnham on your last day.

Sat: Maaga na lang kayo sa strawberry farm. You can drop by at Bell Church for a pictorial if you want.
       TIP: I don't know at this time kung may mga strawberries pa. Mahal kasi magstrawberry picking
              x2 and price per kilo. Anyway, libre naman picture taking. Papicture na lang kayo kunyare
              nagpipick kayo. The sweetest ones are the small ones. Mas mura pa kesa sa malalaking
              strawberries. You can buy veggies na rin doon.
      From Strawberry Farm, go to Tam-awan Village
      Lunch at Good Taste sa Burnham Park
      You can do Ben Cab after lunch

^We usually hang out sa Kaffeeklatsch para magkape. May acoustic band na nagplayplay ng music. nothing loud. chill lang. You can google it. Kahilera [textspeak!] sya ng Good Taste sa may gasoline station. City Camp ang address.

Hello all! If you're a family or a group looking for a place to stay in Baguio, I highly recommend The Country Place at Dominican Hill. It is a vacation house with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen (you may cook your meals), spacious living room and veranda. There is even a fire place! Rate is P12,500/night, good for 10-12 persons. Location is near the Lourdes Grotto.

baguio is our annual destination since hubby and i started dating in 2006.  now we have 2 kids and still love going there.  sometimes 2x a year pa.  so excited for our trip next week.  i just backread to see what's the latest happening    last time we visited was September last year pa.  hmm.. i googled la presa, eto pala yun sa forevermore teleserye (sorry naman, i didn't get to watch that kahit 1 episode since sabay sa bed time ng kids ko hehe).. anyway, based on what i found parang hindi advisable to go there with 2 little boys kasi while you can bring a car, may mahabang lakaran pa to go up and see the beautiful view, tama ba sisses?  hay.. my yayas would have love to take a pic there for sure haha

i will try the strawberry shortcake from vizco's this time, deadma ko lang siya last time kasi sa john hay branch nila, j.co won me over lol

^ may mga parking space naman sis doon na malapit so you don't have to walk far. Kaya lang mahaba ang lakaran kasi dagsa ang tao nung summer, so malayo ang parking. If you like to go there, better do it in the morning, kung hindi umuulan because it gets slippery na and muddy when it rains which is usually in the afternoon.

Masarap din ang mga cakes sa Tea House sa Session. Super like their tiramisu and chona's delight cake.

hi girls, do you think madali lang kaming makakakuha ng accommodation if dun nalang mag hahanap? we will be traveling this July. Mukhang off-peak season naman siya.. or you really recommend booking in advance?

please recommend me naman na okay na accommodation. yung accessible na sa lahat. i was 8 years old the last time i went there. can't wait to visit again. plus si hubby di pa nakakapunta sa baguio. salamat sa tutulong. God bless

Hi sis ceejhei. Ano bng preference mo hotel o transient house? Tapos ilan kyo. Kyo [textspeak!] b ni hubby o big group? Kung kyo lang nman ni hubby ok n sigurong mghotel madami nmang available kasi off peak season n.

Base sa accessibility you can choose from hotel veniz, city light hotel, hotel 45, Bloomfield hotel , LA brea inn. Akyatin mo buong session road madaming hotel/inn doon. Do some research and compare prices online pra pagakyat nyo alam mo n kung saang hotel k mgbobook. So you can save time na rin.

Kung big group kyo, mas makakatipid kyo kung transient house n lang. Hope this helps.

My friends and I went to Baguio last June. Over the weekend lang.  We took the 12mn Victory bus and arrived 6am Saturday. We went to Mines View, Good Shepherd, Botanical Garden, CJH, PMA, SM, Baguio Cathedral, Lourdes Grotto, Tam-awan, Ben Cab, UP. Nung pauwi naman we took the 5pm bus. We ate at Pizza Volante along Session Road and Cafe by the Ruins. So far so good. Babalik kami kasi madami pa kami hindi napuntahan.

Frustrated lang kami sa nakuha namin na transient house. Usapan kasi namin solo namin yung house. Pero pagdating namin, dun kami sa shared house. So sige ok lang. Pagod na din kami para magreklamo. 350 per pax per day lang naman eh. Mas nafrustrate lang kami kasi madumi yung bathroom. Mapanghi tapos namumuti na yung lababo (maroon color nung lababo). Tapos madami nagkalat na shampoo sachet. Parang hindi nililinisan eh kung tutuusin naman kasama namin sa bahay yung contact nung nagpaparent. Tapos wala pang heater. Kelangan maginit ng tubig sa takure.

Ok na sana adventure namin eh except lang sa transient house. We got the house through OLX. It is located near Lourdes Grotto. We will never again transact with Ms. Irene Tricia Protacio.
