I suggest after Camp John Hay diretso na kayo sa PMA kasi same way sila.

Then sa last day pagsamahin mong puntahan ang Botanical Garden, Wright Park, Mansion, Good Shepherd at Mines View Park kasi magkakalapit lang mga ito. 2-3 hours ok nang gugulin sa mga ito.

You may want to check the night market at Harrison Road, malapit sa Burnham 9-12 pm daily.
Madaming pwedeng bilhin at makakain dito. Enjoy your trip!

Hi mga sis. Just got back.

Medyo naiba ang aming itinerary sa original plan but still Baguio is the best place to be in pag summer. Lamig parin, though pwede na naka shirt nalang and shorts pero yung breeze ng hangin malamig parin especially sa gabi.

We stayed (3 days and 2 nights) in an apartelle na nirecommend sa amin, Sa Jalo Apartelle (Gladiola St. Upper QM Subd), may 3 bedrooms, 1 cr, huge dining area and sala with tv/wifi. It was originally for 3500, natawaran narin to 3000 per night. Additional 100 per day for fan, may mineral water din for P50 a jug.

Upon arrival, had lunch at SM Baguio, super daming tao dahil sale. Went straight to the transient, then Burnham Park in the afternoon. Nag grocery lang ng mga food and drinks for the celebration (birthday ng mother in law ko).

2nd day, went to La Presa, di nakapasok sa mismong place kasi may shooting. Went to PMA after then lunch at Sizzling Steak ba yun? Katabi ng Good Taste, super daming tao kaya di na kami nag attempt. After lunch went to Strawberry Fields, medyo maliliit na ang mga strawberries at patapos na ata ang harvest season. Bought some wine and veggies then went to the apartelle. Around 8:30PM, we went to Harrison Rd for the night market then went to the acoustic bar in Session Road for some drinks.

3rd day, went to Camp John Hay (The Manor) then lunch at Choco-late De Batirol. Went to Mines View and Good Shepherd for pasalubong. After that, we went to The Mansion and Wright Park.

Yung iba di na namin pinuntahan kasi pagod na. Pero all in all, we had fun. Salamat sa google maps and map apps sa mga phones namin and sa suggestion ng mga sis natin dito.

does anyone know PMA cadet exhibition/drill schedule? we want to watch sana. also, can we do la presa, strawberry fields and ben cab in one go? thanks!

Kakauwi ko lang from Baguio. Sobrang enjoy and nabitin ako sa 1 week. Better talaga if you have google maps or any maps app ready. We have our own car and hindi alam ng driver namin yung pasikot sikot dun, so I helped him. Nasubukan na din namin yung mga taxi, sobrang okay talaga kasi nagkulang kami ng piso, hindi na niya siningil pa.

Nabitin ako sa pasalubong! Now I'm craving for Rico's lengua de gato. Sana may mahanap ako dito sa Manila na nagbebenta. We almost tried everything kasi, kaya halo halo kinuha namin pasalubongs. Didn't know lengua and snow balls ang talagang magugustuhan ko. How I wish kumuha ako marami.

Sobrang okay ng weather ngayon. Ranges from 17 to 24C. Btw, be aware lang na sobrang haba ng pila lagi sa taxi sa SM Baguio, even if weekdays. Good thing yung condo na pinag stayan namin nearby lang so pwedeng walking distance.

We're planning to back this year ulit or early next year. Plan ko sana isabay ng Panagbenga kasi dream ko talaga makita yung Panagbenga festival.

^sis pag nag panagbenga kayo dapat mga months before it magpareserve na kayo. Na try namin yan super biglaan pang overnight lang, naku wala kami nakuhang hotel, good thing may transient yung mga friends ng kapatid ko na nauna na sa Baguio kaya nakitira kami sa isang room dun. Pero masaya naman sya, sobrang daming tao at ang traffic bongga.

If you are going this Saturday to PMA then you are in for a treat.
May special event sila tomorrow. They will do a parade around 9-12 pm according to a friend who teaches there. Just bring an id (kahit isa lang for your group) and be sure you wear shoes. They don't allow slippers inside PMA. I think yung mga exhibition nila is pag may special events lang.  I'm still confirming pa with my friend.

medyo opposite directions yung tatlong gusto nyong puntahan..pero kaya naman..maliit lang naman ang baguio..pwedeng maaga kayo sa La presa..then do Ben Cab..then hapon sa strawberry farm..medyo kokonti na lang ang strawberry sa strawberry farm...been there 2 weeks ago..pinasyal ang mga bisita namin.

TIP: sa mga magstrawberry farm na nagtitipid, they charge 300-500 for strawberry picking for 1 kilo of strawberries. pwedeng group ang magpipick..pero ang price ng strawberry is around 160 (medium-large size or 120 (small size) per kilo..yung bite size lang binili namin last time kasi mas matamis kesa sa malalaki..anyway, kung for photo op lang naman..libre naman siya..kunwari na lang nagpipick ka ng strawberries..

How's the weather in Baguio now? Is it hot, rainy, windy? I have 2 kids in tow, and planning what clothes to bring for them and I want to pack light lang. Do I need to bring jacket that's good for rain & cold weather or ok na ang cardigan? We'll be there tom until Tues. TIA!

^ well it rained yesterday. For the first time after 2 weeks nung may bagyo. But it usually stops for an hour or two.

It is usually hot in the morning, makulimlim sa hapon and tolerable naman yung lamig sa gabi. Hindi sya super lamig. Cardigan will do. Medyo good weather naman today. Ingat sa byahe sis. Enjoy your trip!

^Oh thanks Rheap for that info. So i presume you're from Baguio? More tips please! We'll be arriving at 5am in Baguio but our check-in time at Newtown Hotel is at 2pm. So any tips where we can go as early as 6 or 7am? Ask na rin kita ha as to what's the best brand of pasalubong we can buy in Baguio?

^yes I'm from Baguio. Just got back here after 5 years of staying and working in Manila. Quit my job to take care of the kids and manage our small transient house. 2 months pa lang kami dito and I'm glad we did. 40 degrees na daw sa Manila. Ang init! kawawa ang mga bata.

May car ba kayo sis o commute? Yung hotel nyo is  near Leonard Wood Road. Marami nang pwedeng pasyalan dyan. You can start at Botanical Garden, then walk to Wright Park where the kids can do horsebackriding. Climb up the stairs, nasa Mansion na kayo. Go down, and ride a jeep nasa Good Shepherd na kayo for pasalubong, a few walk nasa Mines View na kayo. You can ride a taxi to eat lunch at Ketchup community or Chocolait de Batirol. Along the vicinity din mga to e. But I've never been to this 2 pa. They are one of the most popular choices sa forum. Then check in na kayo after lunch. Yun nga lang karay karay nyo luggage nyo, so it is a good choice to pack light.

May mga pasalubong sa Good Shepherd. Highly recommended ang kanilang ube jam. I prefer yung Romana na peanut brittle. Hindi sya durog na peanuts pero buo buo at Tartland na lengua de gato. Although these brands are a bit pricey na kasi sikat na at masarap naman talaga kasi. You can ask alternative from manang tindera kung ibibigay lang. Yung kasing sarap pero di kasing mahal.

Thanks so much sis! I'll take note of that! We will take the straight route ng bus. I want the kids to experience it kase. We'll just leave our things when we get to the hotel so we have breakfast & can stroll around. The 2nd batch of the family will be coming around lunch time but they have a car. We plan to rent a transpo roaming around the city.

^ Anytime sis. Do bring a foldable umbrella with you. Ng thunderstorm kanina. Anlalakas ng kidlat. Good thing you have a car kasi ang hirap ng taxi lalo na pag biglang umulan. Kawawa mga bata.

Sisses, will be going next week 27-30. We are 5adults (my sister is preggy) and 2kids, 5 and 2yo. Baka sa recidencia alekzandra na lang kami, since mura lang and close to the city proper.

I have read restos to try, kaso di ko alam san isisingit sa iti namin. Baka kasi maout of way. Ano pa ba pwede isingit sa 3rd day?

Also, may car kami, pero iniisip ko if iwan na lang during our tour. Tingin nyo? Though mukhang maulan na ata

^^ if you have a car, me kasamang preggy + kids, i suggest you bring your car when you go around Baguio. Mas convenient yun. Make use of your car's Navi system or Google Maps or Waze for directions. They're pretty accurate naman. The one seated sa front seat can be the navigator.

Even in planning itineraries, i check sa Google maps kung alin ang magkakalapit and mas along-the-way na route para mas efficient ang travel.

^ if you're in the vicinity of Botanical/Wright, you can eat sa Ketchup Food Community. If you're in Camp John Hay, pwede sa Chocolate de Batirol or sa mga kainan sa Mile-hi Center.

thanks sis! we were in pma yesterday by 11am and i think it was family day ng mga cadets but no parade nor exhibition, not sure lang if they did it in the morning.
TIP lang sa mga gustong pumunta ng PMA, super hirap magtaxi palabas so might as well, kontratahin nyo na lang yung taxi to wait for you. it took us more or less 30 mins to get one as we had to wait kung may mga papasok lang na tourists on a cab. also, rainy na in the afternoon so we had to cut our trip short [textspeak!] palaging umuulan sa hapon. went to night market but nothing fancy coz i think mas mura pa rin sa divisoria talaga 😀. we stayed in venus parkview and the location is great, very accessible. booked it via hotels.com but found out na mas mura mag-book directly sa hotel than those sites coz they have service charge pa but the challenge is laging fully booked when you call. blockbuster din pila sa good taste so we settled in sizzling plate. victory liner is very strict with time. our schedule is 1:40pm and we arrived on the dot pero di na kami pinasakay as they allowed chance passengers na to board so had to wait for the next bus and pay surcharge.

all in all we had a great time naman. we'll definitely go back! 😉

^ is, didn't you consider the jeepneys? it will head straight to burnham park.. mayroon jeepney station sa loob ng pma..
madali lang naman magcommute via jeepney sa baguio.. kasi sa town maraming jeepney stations.. magtatanong langbkayo and everyone is happy to help..
