Hi Quisha!

We're in Korea about that same time last year (Nov 6-10, 2013)... The temp was super cold (-1C to 5C). I bought my kids' winter gears from Uniqlo, Zara and Debenhams. Wala nga kasing ibang mabibilhan. Pricey, so sabi ko pupunta kami ulit this year around winter para masulit yung pagbili ko... 

OMG di ko inexpect na ganun ka oa yung lamig. Sis mahal ba bumili ng winter clothes sa korea?

^sis, depends on where you will buy.  For me, more expensive ang clothes sa Korea comparing dito sa atin.  Even the price of Forever21, mas mahal sa kanila. Not unless if you'll buy sa tiangge nila, I think pwede na but if you will have kids in tow, better if they have winter clothes na. Layering is fine naman, make sure lang na maganda ang quality ng thermal clothes mo.

^sis, I didn't but just passed by sa tiangge/small stores nila. We got our thermals kasi in HK and jackets from US, sa daughter ko naman I bought Uniqlo heattech dito.

Normally, 3 layers ako last March (tail end ng winter so malamig pa din talaga).  Thermal, knitted jacket then bubble jacket with neck scarf/bottom - thermal tights then regular maong lang from here and boots.  When we went to Nami Island, nag 4 layers ako, super lamig kasi.

pag December ba, usually ilan ang layers ang suot?

^pag lamigin ka like me, layering won't do. Kailangan talaga ng thermals, winter na kasi nyan. Normally suot ko, thermal base layer, middle layer tsaka outer layer na medyo makapal like bubble jackets. Na try ko mag three layers na walang thermal pero ni lamig ako. I also suggest you bring something to cover your face, grabe din kasi minsan ang wind chills. Muntik ko na nga ibaba yung beanie hanggang sa buong mukha ko. Para na kong holdaper haha

thanks for the tip. lamigin pa naman ako. pwede din kaya na magsuot ng contact lens dun? worry ko kasi baka mag-dry sa mata ko. I might as well use my eyeglasses.

Late autumn na yun sis kaya malamig na talaga. For us who grew up in the tropics, super lamig na for us yung near zero temp.

Sis, I bought all our winter gears here. I did not bother to ask na or shop around sa Korea, kakain din ng oras yung maghanap ka pa ng isusuot. I'd rather spend the time going to the tourist spots than shopping. Hehe... Tsaka, gusto ko kasi malalabhan ko muna before isuot. Hehe...

We wore three layers when we were there Nov last year. Thermal inner wear, an ordinary outer wear and a thick jacket or a down jacket.

^ Yes, vibrant red, orange and yellow pa colors ng mga puno. Ganda nga magpicture.

I bought our thermal gloves sa Uniqlo at Marks and Spencer. Yung for kids, I bought from Zara and Debenhams. 

Try to check Terranova, North Face and Columbia if they have too.

mga sis sa march 14-20 kaya next year me cherry blossom na?

@cartman sa weather ngayon medyo mahirap i-predict yun cherry blossoms pero palagay ko medyo malabong may cherry blossoms na by that time. masyado pang maaga. we went 1st week of april ng 2013 and as in super bubot pa ng mga trees. try to monitor it siguro pag pasok ng 2015. usually naglalabas ang korean tourism organization ng cherry blossoms forecast and festivals.

^i enjoyed everland(outdoor theme park), myeongdong and insadong for shopping. Sa myeongdong Puro cosmetics, insadong naman for pasalubongs.and you should visit at least one of the palaces, might as well Yung gyeongbukgung na since its the biggest. And oh, sa bukchon hanok village
