If I were you you sis, tutuloy ko pa din yung trip. Sayang naman yung plane tickets nyo, kahit sabihin pang rebookable sya. Magbabayad ka pa din ng 2,000++  Kung nakapag research ka na, at kung may visa na kayo go na. Sayang naman ang effort mo. Tsaka kung irerebook ba, sigurado ba na makakasama na ang sister at husband mo?

Another question,  what is more advisable, exchanging PHP to KRW here in the Philippines (our secretary know a money exchange place that has competitive rates) or exchanging PHP to USD here in the Philippines and then exchanging the USD to KRW in Korea?

Hi sis, when we travel, we always bring the currency na of that country so less hassle to exchange and we just use our ATM (BPI) na lang.

On exchange rate: We usually get it from BDO, kasi nasa baba lang ng office namin.

@Snowball, if I were you sis, I'll still push through with the travel. Kayo mong dalhin ang 9 and 3 y/o children mo. Just make sure to find a hotel na near sa subway station. Also, bring a stroller for your 3 y/o para pag pagod na maglakad, walang tantrums.

Sa BDO pwede bumili ng KRW? Or USD yung sinasabi ninyo? Usually sa Czarina kami bumibili pero kung meron pala sa BDO na KRW eh mas mabuti for me. Kami we usually buy enough KRW pang bayad ng pamasahe and the rest dun na or sa airport. Lalo na ngayon gabi na naman ulit ang dating ng flight ng Cebu Pacific sa Incheon kaya mabuting may dala ka ng KRW. Nung unang beses namin mag Korea ganyan din ang schedule...gabi tapos na delay yun flight kaya super madali kami kase baka maiwan ng train. Ayun naka sakay nga kami ng train pero nung mag transfer na kami sa kabilang line papunta sa hotel eh hindi na kami pinapasok dahil sarado na... kaya nag taxi na kami.

Mga sissies, one of my officemate's uncle just got back from SK and offered to exchange my 10,000PHP to 240,000 KRW. I haven't check BDO rate pa but I think its almost same na lang ata. Around 1KRW=0.042

Need help, hindi ko nakuha yung visa ko yesterday because my TIN number daw was incorrect, ayun yung namiss kong gawin. HUHU. Babalik ako sa September 11 ulit. May case na ba ditong ganito but still approved pa din sila? Kinakabahan na ako. Nabigay ko naman na yung tamang TIN number ko.

^hi sis, my friend experienced that as well. he's working for the last 15 years and is using the TIN #, apparently, incorrect daw yun. He fixed it by going to the BIR and submitted his birth certificate, iba ang number nya after all those years. sa experience nya, mga 2 weeks din sya nagpabalik balik sa embassy but he was still given a VISA.

Get Muliple-Entry VISAs to Korea with the Exemption of Financial Documents

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea has agreed to give BPI Gold and Platinum cardholders mulitple-entry Visas. Applicants who can submit BPI credit card account statement, are subject to following.

- BPI Gold Master Cardholders : multiple-entry visa to Korea valid for 1 year.
- BPI SkyMiles Platinum Master Card and BPI Amore Visa Platinum cardholders : multiple-entry visa to Korea valid for 3 years.

They are also exempted from submitting Bank Certificate and ITR(Income Tax Return) when applying.

hi sisses, we booked a flight to korea on oct 18, aabot pa ba if next week kami magsubmit ng request for visa? any tips para maapprove kami? May US visa na ko pero last trip ko to US 2009 pa.. but valid pa naman US visa ko.. hubby naman walang visa to US.. second honeymoon kasi namin to huhu kaya sobrang hopeful ako na maapprove kami. tia!

Day 2: Nami Island
           Garden of the Morning Calm
           Myeongdong ulit or Namdaemun
Day 3: Coex Museum / Aquarium
          N Seoul Tower
Day 4: Trick Eye Museum
           Free time
Day 5: last minute shopping at Myeongdong

Our trip is mainly in Seoul lang so we can have a valid reason to go back and explore other places.
