Dear sisses,

Has anyone been to Jisan Ski Resort in Korea? May I ask for directions please? Also, how do you make reservations for the free shuttle to the resort. The reservation site is in Korean only.

Also, has anyone experienced skiing in Vivaldi and Jisan? Which one is better for kids?

I have no idea pa sis, but i was looking at koridoor tours last winter. Parang around $145 transpo, ski gear and outfit and ski lessons na e. I think sa KTO site ganun din e. When are you planning for winter? Kami we wanna go back dec26 sana, kasi baka january might be too cold for us

Dec 21-26 kami sis. Have tickets and accommodation na. I am drafting our itinerary and wants to include a ski tour kahit hindi kami mag-ski. Okay na sa amin ang sled lang or yung sasakay lang sa lift/gondola. I am choosing between these ski resorts: Vivaldi, Konjiam, Bearstown and Yongpyong. Wala akong idea saan ang mas okay for kids yung with sledding at day trip lang. Medyo pricey kase pag with ski lessons pa. I am also thinking if we'll do this DIY or book via travel agency. May alam kayo sis? Pa-share naman. Thanks!

Base sa backread ko sis, nasa 25-30K per head ang 4D3N with the usual iti na pupuntahan. Excluding airfare daw. Yan din yung mga accomodation na guest house. May iba naman nabasa ako kaya daw ng 20K. Mas mamahal pa kung may iba ka pang iti, or more days pa, or mas mahal ang accomodation mo. HTH!

③ Seoul → Jisan Resort: From Dong Seoul Terminal take a bus headed for Icheon (Gangbyeon Station, Subway Line 2) (Operating Time: 07:00~20:00, 14 services a day / Travel time: 1 hour / Fee: 4,000won) → From Icheon Inter-city Bus Terminal take bus (No.12) for Cheonggangdae (Operating Time: 06:45~21: 35, 41 services a day / Travel time: 40 mins./ Fee: 1,500won) → Get off at Gyounghui Mart Station → Then go straight (Walk 10 mins.).

Tip) Seoul ↔ Jisan Resort Shuttle bus is available for one-day trips.  Reservations need to be made through their homepage (Korean).
Since only the Korean homepage provides the reservation service, foreign visitors should use the telephone service. Tel. +82-31-644-1245 (English)

.....bearstown is more kid and beginner friendly daw

Shuttle: free and paid shuttle buses are available and reservations can be made online or by calling  +82 31 540 5000.

Public transportation: take the #11 bus from Gangbyeon Station and get off at Bearstown Resort.

Approximate travel time from central Seoul: 90 minutes

What could be a reasonable airfare for december kaya? Parang 14k is too much right? Or mataas talaga kasi christmas season?

^ sis san mga location ng iptime? hehe plan ko prepaid nalang bibilin kahit 4 days, observe ko muna kung may mga wifi sa area then tsaka nalang ako bibili ulet..sa pag text sa manila sis ano cheaper options? Thanks

Its our 6th day here in seoul, 5 more days.. Staying at red guesthouse in myeongdong, just after namsan 2, 2 mos old palang yun building so very new and very clean..60,000 won a night for 3.. Discounted lang kasi 10 nights kami.  Free breakfast, towel, toiletries.. Minsan kahit gabi we can have coffee..super bait ng owner, yun family nila nakatira din dito..
Pinainom pa nila kami ng beer nila kagabi... Kahit fully book sila, hindi crowded cafe nila for breakfast...

Myeongdong shopping- dami street food, mas gusto ko pa kumain dito kesa sa mga local resto kasi ayaw ko ng matamis..hirap mamili, everyday yun ang prob namin hehe

Namdaemun- cheap products talaga parang divi nga
Ewha university- lahat dito mura, food, clothing and some make ups dito kami nagtagal..
Gangnam- party place dami bars and resto medyo pricey..dito rin siksikan super sa train at bus kasi busy area daw nila ito..
Express bus-- may mall dito shinsegae ang ganda kaso ang mahal ng mga item
Meron din parang tiange dito paglabas ng subway
Banpo bridge- ganda ng view ng han river kaso walang show dahil sa ferry accident according sa local na napagtanungan namin
Lotte department store- walking distance from myeongdong shopping street..maganda din mga items

Eto pa pupuntahan namin:

Everland
Nseoul tower
Teddy bear museum
Love locks
Gyeokbukgung- isip pa kung lunch o gabi kasi may starry night sila..

Kagabi pinakamalamig 8 degrees. :-)

Just got back from Seoul. It was a one-of-a-kind experience! Super bitin! I don't know if sadyang ginawin lang ako, but I found the weather very cold that I had to buy an additional coat to keep me warm.

Just want to share this, ingat kapag nasa Incheon Airport. Seoul is generally a safe city that's why locals can easily leave their stuff lying on the table, but it's a different case in the airport. Nadukot ang wallet ko. I suspect na doon sa Hello Kitty Cafe satellite siya nakuha.

Not sure, pero baka with the train tour, hanggang Dorasan station and immediate vicinity lang pwede makapunta. Kasi for JSA, controlled yung area so di pwede ang DIY. For the DMZ (museum, 3rd tunnel, etc), parang wala ako napansin na way to commute to/from so I'm not sure how you can go around. Same with Imjingak.. unless, there's an option to "top-up" the with a group tour via bus from Dorasan to DMZ and JSA?

Hi guys! Antagal ko ng hindi nagpopost dito sa Koream Thread last pa ata was thread 7 naabutan ko. Anyways, ill be going back to Korea this May! Im excited and nakakuha ako 3 years multiple entry visa! Yey! Eto pala mga balak namin puntahan. 1st timers yung mga kasama ko so bale mauulit yung mga ibang places na pupuntahan ko pero dati kasi winter ako nagpunta. This time, summer na.

Yay, we already got our visas yesterday so I can now start finalizing our IT for our June trip. Would appreciate any feedback on our IT below:

Day 1 : ETA at 9:30pm
since we are booked in Suitcasers, we will just explore Myeongdong & nearby shopping areas

Day 2: Nami Island, Ehwa University, Cheonggyecheon Stream, Dongdaenum

Day 3: Everland (any other areas where we could go before or after Everland?)

Day 4: N Seoul, Myeongdong Cathedral, Bukchon Hanok

Day 5: Last minute shopping - any recommendations? ETD to Phils. is at 7pm

Also, we are a group of 8 and I read that it would be cheaoer if we rent a van in going to places instead of riding a public transpo. Pls. PM me for any trusted contacts.

Hello! Is it possible to go to Nami Island on day of arrival? arrival time is at 07:25 - For this, will be taking either ITX train or normal train kasi impossible to take the Bus. Or should I squeeze it on the day of departure, time is at 20:55? Thanks to anyone who would reply

^ parang mas ok on the day of departure. You can go sa morning and spend a couple of hours before you go back sa seoul after lunch try the dak galbi restos there. Saraaap! almost 2 hours din kasi papunta and pabalik e...

^^ Between arrival and departure, I'd choose departure. But honestly, I wouldn't be advising you to go to Nami on the day of your departure. Nami Island is almost a 2 hour commute from Seoul. So kailangan maaga kayo pupunta dun. By 4 or 5 pm kailangan papunta na kayo airport. But it's your call naman if kaya niyo naman na agahan.

Sa arrival kasi, malamang pagod kayo and orient niyo pa sarili niyo sa Korea kaya mas maganda na around Seoul muna kayo magikot ikot.

Hello! For those who have been in Seoul (SK) during the Christmas season, bukas ba ang mga malls at ibang tourist spots on Christmas Day itself? I am drafting our itinerary kasi for December and I don't know if I should schedule some spots on Christmas Day itself.

Also, anyone who have been to Jade Garden Natural Arboretum? We're planning to include a visit to this place. Is it worth to go to especially in Winter? Anong pwedeng isama na pupuntahan (except Nami kasi nakapunta na kami doon last Fall 2013)? Hope you could also help me with the directions from Myeongdong.

@kachich: and make sure di public holiday sa korea that time. Last year, nataon na holiday pagpunga namin and di namin alam. grabe we left 9am for nami and 1pm na kami dumating. Nakauwi kami sa seoul past 6pm na. Mga one hour lang kami nagstay sa Nami mismo. Super daming tao, haba ng pila sa taxi/ bus papunta and pabalik sa gapyeong station. Even sa ferry haba ng pila. Parang mahilig sila magpunta sa park during holidays e...
