Wow, 10th thread girls 

Just got back from Seoul after our 5 day trip. Those asking about cherry blossoms, konti nalang now. Buti medyo madami pa naabutan namin last Wednesday Yung medyo malayong area sa city na mas malamig, mas magaganda pa cherry blossoms though di rin kasing dami unlike siguro the other week.

Weather- malamig pa rin, pero towards the last two days of our trip, pansin na uminit ng konti yung temperature. Naka-pullover or long sleeves nalang kami with scarf. Nung unang dating namin, lamig na lamig pa kami. Haha! or baka naka-adjust na kami kaya di na kami giniginaw.

I liked the DMZ tour. Nakakapagod yung tunnel pero sulit. Di boring tour guide namin kaya ang saya ng trip. Syempre shopping sa Myeongdong, as usual. Mostly make-up and konting clothes. Mas mura mga clothes na na-shop ko sa Ewha e.

Be careful lang sa mga binebenta sa boutiques na walang price na nakadikit (clothes, CDs, etc), minsan tinataasan nila kung lulusot and kakagat ka. Lalo na yan if alam nilang foreigners.

If you still want to see yung line of cherry blossom trees, meron pa sa isang area na dadaanan papunta Everland. Dun kami nakita ng marami pang cherry blossoms...

Saya pala sa Everland. Hehe... Will go back here next time. Di namin nalibot lahat at inulan kami. (

Question sa mga nagkapagbook na sa Jeju Air (domestic flight), what credit card did you use? ayaw kasi nung BPI and RCBC card ko, need daw ng 3D secure authentication.

is it true na pah may platinum cc e most likely to get approved for a visa?

^^err no... CC is not part of the requirements. If you have OECD visa/s then your most likely assured of getting a visa. But if complete ka naman sa requirements, then most likely you'll be given one.

Andaming Filipino tourists ngayon sa Korea, unlike nung una kong punta na mabibilang mo. Ngayon kaliwa't kanan may nakita akong Pinoy na turista. Kaya siguro yung Korean embassy magcucut off na sa dami ng nagaapply ng visa.

Anyone here going to Jeju on summer (July-Aug)? Wala kami mahanap na murang flight from Busan San din mas okay magstay? TIA!

^More on pag masyado ng maraming applicants for the day, kahit hindi pa 11AM, hindi na sila nagpapapasok. Yung kasama ko kasi, magsusubmit dapat ng requirements. Sabi ko 9-11 ang submission. Dumating siya 10AM. 9:45 daw hindi na nagpapapasok embassy. So binigay sakin para ako nalang magsubmit. Nung ako na nagsubmit, hanggang 10:30 nagpapasok sila, pero after ayaw na ng embassy magpapasok. Before kahit 5 mins to 11 pwede pa.

Not sure, if ngayon lang kasi magholiday this week, or dahil marami na talagang Filipinos ang nagbabalak na magbakasyon sa Korea.

So better be early nalang pag nagsubmit ng visa.

Mabilis lang ba ang travel time from Seoul to Nami Island? How much entrance fee doon?

^ approx. 2 hours, you can take the ITX para di na kayo lipat-lipat ng train. Travel time is depende sa day na you're going. If it's a public holiday, expect more people to go hence longer travel time and island is crowded. 8k won pa rin ata entrance.

Regarding dmz sis nakita mo daming cherry blossoms dun? Ironic lang bawal magpic, we went apr 16 may mga full bloom pa sarap bumaba....nagpaalam kami if pwede lumabas dun sa bldg where you change buses to military bus na, ayaw nila e. Regarding ewha i dunno if we missed a part pero parang hindi namin masyado feel yung clothes dun. We opted to go to express bus terminal after parang mas dun pa nakabuy friend ko.

We had a very productive 5 day i.t starting last saturday pero high intensity ito:

After lunch we headed to ewha university
edae shopping til 6pm
express bus terminal shopping til 9:30pm

Day2
Insadong
1pm hanbok studio appt at go guan in insadong til 3pm
Samcheongdong late lunch
Bukchon hanok village + some kdrama film location hunting
Changdeokgung moonlight tours 8pm (this is a must see tour if you get a chance)

Day3
Gyeongbukgung til 2:30
Dongdaemun til 5pm (good thing it was a monday maraming closed shops kundi lagot nanaman for shopping) this is where we saw some more pretty clothes
Hyewa art murals (daisy stairs and more paintings around the houses) the way here was pretty steep
Around 7pm we headed to naksan park medyo matagal nagsunset so parang around 7:30 dumilim we stayed there til 8:30
And then headed to our fave resto beside anguk exit #3 where we had our fave cheese ramyun yumyum

Day 4
Cheongdam ( we were shown around by my korean friend who lives in cheongdam) a place where haircut costs $100 and she treated us to brunch at droptop (too overpriced coffee for me but thankful it was free)
Apgujeong after and then we rode a bus to garusogil (ok lang this place maybe kasi maaga pa pero puro richie rich place and a lot of those who had cosmetic surgery were just walking around with masks and caps
We walked back to apgujeong the part across galleria dept store bec we saw really unique cellphone cases
Gangnam underground shopping after til 5pm
6pm we headed to hongdae

Day5
JSA tour
4:30 back at seoul went to lotte dept store
Myeongdong last min haul
And then headed to chungmuro to catch the bus for Nseoul tower (it was really cold when we went up to namsan nung wed night i had my cardigan on and thick jacket, i had to zip it up and wear the hood)
We finished at 10pm we planned to go to a resto near banpo kaya lang we needed to pack pa for an early morning flight

For clothes naman i wore dresses and jacket and just wore tights carry naman until 10C if below 10 i need to take out my hood. In the daytime i wore stockings with dress and denim jacket nalang din ok naman was able to survive the cold

To those who were able to visit Korea in May before, ano usually temperature for the first few weeks? Ayoko kasi mag-rely lang sa weather forecast.

^ last year, may kami andun mga 17-20 lang ata. Kaya ng cardigan lang mas ok sa nami than lotte world. Too kiddie for us, haha everland nalang if mag-theme park ka.

^^ ok sakin sa ewha though shorts naman mga nabili ko. Saka a couple of tops for pasalubong. Maliit kasi sizes nila kaya ok saken. Lol.

^from the subway exit ng ewha (heading to the univeristy) diba nasa left side yung shopping area? Saka small area lang diba? Dunno talaga if naikot namin ng husto kasi parang konti lang nakita namin 😀

^ yup, medyo malaki rin sya for me. hehe o dahil napagod kami maglakad kaya feeling namin malaki pero seriously... last year, gabi kami pumunta parang mas maraming open na stores. Ngayong year kasi weekend tapos tanghali kaya parang konti pa bukas na stores.

Okay Nami Island it is. If you're taking the bus pala, hanggang 4PM ka ba talaga magsstay doon (since the bus en route to Seoul leaves at 4PM) or may iba pang way kung gusto umalis ng mas maaga? Feeling ko kasi masyadong matagal magstay until 4PM. Balak ko rin blazers/cardigans lang. Will it be warm enough to wear shorts or malamig pa rin masyado?

sis try mo busan air or eastar jet around 3k lang to Jeju. nahirapan kami magbook sa jeju air kaya dito kami nagbook. we stayed at Four Seasons Hotel sa Jeju. very nice service. recommended.

^^ alam ko may sked yung bus eh. Last week nung nag-visit kami, we went to Petite France tapos we dropped by Nami Island (sa may entrance lang) para kumain nakasakay kami ng bus ng 2pm siguro yun... May tourist center dun, you can inquire rin. If marami kayo, you can take a cab and split the cost. Mas mura pa lalabas. Di kasi ganun kalayo yun sa Gapyeong Station.
