Hair Coloring (Thread 6)

Nagpakulay ako last year ng "ash blonde" for the first time (Headway Salon, P1900) pero brownish lang yung naging effect, siguro dahil virgin pa yung hair ko nun. And then nagpakulay ulit ako ng same color dito sa may kanto sa amin (P800) and medyo naging blond-ish naman siya. Every 3 months nagpapa-kulay ako ng roots ng same color, kaya lang ang effect is parang ombre na baliktad, kasi mas matingkad yung kulay sa taas tapos darker na sa baba LOL.

Gusto kong i-maintain na may kulay buhok ko kasi boring na talaga ang black pero na-realize ko mahal siya sa parlor. P400 for roots every 3 months. This weekend nag-try ako mag-DIY for the first time. I tried Kolours Toasted Anise (P239/box lang). Maganda naman siya and nakakaputi, parang nag-gloglow yung mukha ko

Inapplyan ko din ng same color yung tita ko pero walang effect! Sobrang itim kasi ng hair niya and first time niang magpakulay.

Just want to ask your opinion if you have natural super black hair  i pa pa color nyo ba?

^ako nagsisi. kasi ngayon nasira kaka-color. nagdry super yung hair ko.. I use sulfate free shampoo pero matigas sa hair.

Ganun ba sis isa pa nga yan kaya hesitant ako mag pa color kasi baka ma damage. Nag suggest kasi yung stylist na pakulayan ko yung hair ko kaya lang nagdadalawang isip nga ako kasi rare ang kagaya ko na natural na super black ang hair pero at the same time iniisip kong i try para maiba naman.

first time ko siya kulayan about 4months ago yung sa etude house haircolor na pinaka lightest..wala effect!haha
For me, hindi ako nagsisisi.. healthy pa rin tignan hair ko.. nasa pagaalaga yan..
Yung iba naman kasi nagtataka bakit damage hair nila eh ang oa masyado magkulay kaya super damage ang results..
try mo once..why not?

Ha ha. Pareho pala tayo sis napapagkamalan rin ako na nag dye ng black sa sobrang itim nang buhok ko kaya marami rin nag a advise sa akin na wag na pakulayan kasi inisip ko nga rin pano yung regrowth  kasi imagine mo halimbawa medyo blonde yung kinulay tapos yung regrowth ko syempre e super black e di weird tingnan. Ang bilis pa naman humaba nang hair ko. Kakausapin ko nga rin yung hair stylist about dyan kasi I want to give it a try talaga kasi hahaba rin naman ang hair.

Nibleach ko hair ko just a while ago. In fairness ang tibay talaga ng buhok ko. Niseparate ko into 4 sections yun hair ko. Nung una di masyado nableach pero yung mga sumunod naging yellowish-orange na. Yay! Balak ko in 1-2 weeks ulitin ulit. Then bili ako tomorrow ng Ferna food coloring. Which one is better kaya the violet or blue one?

scary naman to do diy    mom is always so frugal and she always makes me apply her hair colouring or bang sisters ko and feeling ko talaga hindi covered up all of her white hair strands.  So, when i do colour mine, i really go to bench fix in greenhills kasi i only trust femar to check na i am getting the right colour.  umabot sa point na super light na ng hair ko kasi over time diba nag lalighten siya kakashampoo?  then pinadarken ko ulit para parang natural brown lang.  i treat mommy narin minsan if I'm home.

Wag na! haha. Ako din super nagsisi kakakulay, at mas maganda tignan ang healthy virgin hair kesa sa dull colored hair well, para sa aken hehe

Okay ba shinemoist? Parag gusto k itry yung black or yung dark brown.

naka pag pa color na ako sis last weekend pa kasama nung keratin treatment. Ok naman pero I miss my super black hair pero ok na rin ito for a change.

Sis mspringles, nung nagbleach na HBC at mondes ilang weeks yun pagitan dun sa next mo na bleach? Yun nakalagay March na.

Sis Vaindoll I try to wait for 2 weeks or a month pero minsan 1 week or 3 days lang. Makapal kasi hair ko sis kaya keribels naman nya. I make sure to use treatments and/or VCO pag days lang paagitan. If you're toning your hair with blue or violet dye ihahalo naman sya sa conditioner so I mix mine on my keratin treats.

Word of caution lang to my sissies who are joining the Asian blonde brigade: There IS such a thing as a “bleach or chemical cut.” This is what happens when you bleach more than your hair strands can endure and they start melting like butter, leaving you with a choppy ’do or worse, almost bald. I’ve been every shade of blonde for several years na (occasionally reverting back to brunette to spare myself the damage, mane and pocket-wise) and I learned the hard way with DIY. Twice na rin akong na-chemical cut and this is why never ko ma-reach yung goal ko na waist-length hair kasi yung last accident ko cost me more than 5 inches of hair, from bra-length to collar bone If you notice Playboy Bunnies and other fake blondes who live on peroxide, they are heavily dependent na on weaves and hair extensions. Kasi yung real hair nila super dead and brittle na, their hair has to be trimmed or kusa nang naputol like mine So my advice is don’t risk doing it yourself in hopes of saving more money. On the contrary, you will end up losing both your funds AND locks if you screw up Be patient and take breaks in between bleaching, at least 3 months. Same with your roots, tiyaga lang muna by wearing hats and beanies. As for cheap locally available toners, you can try this box dye called Lolane Pixxel in Very Light Ash Blonde, P200-ish lang at Watsons and supermarkets. Initially your hair will turn purplish-gray (depending on how light you bleached your hair) but after a few washes, it fades to a lovely cool even-toned ash blonde

^That is why it's important to do research sis. I've watched dozens of videos and read some blogs about bleaching, going blonde and getting unnatural color for hair. Try looking up Guy Tang in youtube. When he bleaches hair, he leaves an inch untouched on the roots when he's bleaching asian hair.

I'm very careful when I do my own hair. I test with the tips of my hair and I get this ombre effect which I like at the same time. I advice you do the same to test how much your hair can take. That way you can just cut if off when you don't like it or it gets bad.

I currently have red and pink hair which is harder to maintain because I need to recolor it every month or 3 weeks to maintain the brightness aside from the hardcore bleaching part to make the color show. I use conditoner based color so it actually conditions my hair everytime I recolor.

For me sis okay na ang blue since blue cancels orange and I color it pink naman. Try violet kung more yellowish hair mo.

Aww, once upon a time my hair was a sultry red which faded to a nice cool-toned fuchsia True, it is tough to maintain, what with all the bloody stains ShineMoist ba gamit mo sis? It was my holy grail hair coloring treatment back then kasi you hit two birds with one stone by coloring and conditioning. Brilliant and makapit pa yung pigment, downside lang is mahirap i-strip when you want to change your hair color kasi henna siya. Yung pre-lightening phase lang ang parusa, 2-3 rounds of bleach and then ShineMoist Ruby or Cyclamen (when I wanted a cooler, more vivid tone)

For ash and platinum blondes, I cannot recommend ShineMoist though unless your blonde is more on the golden spectrum of the color wheel. Warm/red-based kasi ang henna. More suitable siya on brunettes and redheads wishing to liven up their hair color

But regardless of the shade, hair dyeing entails inevitable damage, kahit slight lang. So load up on conditioner and color-friendly hair masks

^Apir sis! Yup I use shinemoist but mondes yung red just because it lasts longer and the color is so vibrant. Sana nga meron sila blue shades eh. 

Ingat lang talaga and be prepared to add extra extra care.

^Hm ang shine moist? Avail ba to sa hbc? I have medium brown hair, yellow yung tone. It's really dull. Iniisip ko kung medium brown, or medium blonde ang bibilhin ko
