Just finished:

- the 1st episode of the 2nd season of Rectify. It was on hiatus for almost a year, nakalimutan ko na tuloy anong nangyari sa first season. As always, this show has substance, in the same breadth as Broadchurch and other critically-acclaimed shows. It's such as shame it's not a popular series.

- the 2nd episode of Chasing Life Season 1. It's about a young woman learning she has cancer. Don't expect much drama and anything remotely cancer-related. It's a very light, young adult-centric show.

Over the last few days, I watched the return of: Graceland, Suits, Rizzoli & Isles, Defiance & Major Crimes. These shows coming back only mean one thing: summer TV programming is back on!

Off to watch the pilot of Dominion, which actually premiered a couple of days ago. It's the spinoff of that movie Legion, about fallen angels. No expectations for this, especially since every review I read says ang pangit ng acting dito. I have not seen Legion the movie, so I don't know what to expect rin in terms of story/technicality.

Right now, it's only Devious Maids, Salem, and minsan Beauty and the Beast. My usual favorites are (sadly) on a break right now.

Natapos kong panoorin ang season one ng Les Revenants (The Returned).  Although the show was in French, I was able to get English hard-coded copies.  Parang mas maganda ang story nito kesa sa American version nito na Resurrection.

^ Yung American version ng The Returned (which will also be entitled The Returned) will star the Uncle from The Tomorrow People. Siya yung tatay ng kambal in the US version. Yung actress sa Hostages, the only woman sa mga kidnappers, sya naman yung cop sa The Returned (US). Na-eenganyo ako sa casting the US version, kasi may similarities talaga sa physical features ng French actors/tress karamihan, sana nga lang maganda pagka-adapt.

Yung Resurrection, it followed the book it was based from. The book is also called The Returned, but not connected to the story at all of the French TV show (which originally started as a French movie). Mataas ratings ng Resurrection, but I also didn't like this story as much as the French story.

On to topic: couldn't finish watching Dominion's pilot, which I started watching yesterday. Ang panget nga. I stopped at 12 minutes.

Done watching Believe and Fargo!  Natuwa naman ako sa mga endings ng mga ito.

^^ Thanks for the heads up on Rectify.  Nagsimula na pala ang season 2 nito.  Ang tagal kasi hehe.  Nababagalan ako sa pace ng story nito but will give this another try.

I think I have downloaded the pilot episode of Dominion.  Ma-check rin nga LOL!

Napanood ko nga din pala kagabi yung latest episode ng Penny Dreadful.  Katakot na naman yung last scene!

^ "Meditative" nga daw yung style ng Rectify. Nakakaantok heheh. But I would agree that it is mabagal. Nung pinanood ko siya, months after natapos na yung Season 1, kaya namarathon ko nang maayos. This time with Season 2, weekly abang siya, dunno how this will work out for me, if I'm gonna like it better in one sitting or weekly.

Watched the premiere of The Last Ship yesterday. Daming pasabog, visually parang sine and the story is interesting (virus, virus cure, navy, Russians). Pero nakukulangan ako sa acting.

Watched the ending of Enlisted and what a good end it was to a comedy that deserved another season. Sayang hindi na-renew, nakakatuwa pa naman talaga siya.

Watched the ending of Drop Dead Diva. It was always Deb and Grayson till the end. Salamat natapos na rin tong show na to coz I felt that after Season 3, wala na silang magawa sa kwento (but it went on till Season 6).

Just finished 3 seasons of Baby Daddy -- not consistently funny pero the funny parts are all caps funny

Currently catching up with season 4 of Arrested Development -- still very interesting but not as candid and fun as the first 3 seasons

Started season 1 of Orange is the New Black -- i like it so far. Medyo di ko pa gets yung story but it's interesting

Checked out the pilot episode of Tyrant which premiered today. No plans watching this for the long haul really, just curious kasi this is a show that's airing on American cable TV about the life of privileged Muslims, so medyo may controversy. The show is violent, as expected, since it's on cable. It's like watching The Sopranos, except Middle Eastern/American lang ang cast.

I also watched the leaked pilot episode of The Flash and it's fun! Got a feeling this will be as popular as Arrow. They picked a really likeable Barry Allen. Best part in the episode was the brief scene with him and Arrow (guest appearance), and as usual...may twist sa dulo ng episode (What the hell moment!). The show is actually airing sometime Sept-Oct of this year pa.
