^^Yes, many. Philequity has the best-performing mutual funds historically. This past year, ATRKE beat out all other mutual funds. Among insurance companies, PRU, Manulife, and AXA's funds are the top performers. Take your pick.

For those who choose equity (more on stocks ka nakainvest kapag ganito right) paano kapag bigla bumagsak ang stock market (is this what they call the bear market kase bull market means mataas ang stocks??? ) so paano na ang aking retirement money na nainvest ?

Hi mga sis. Sa nagopen ng account sa inyo sa Philequity. Tigilang copies ba of the ff kailangan? Or 1 copy lang? Kasi sa dulo may nakasulat na 2ndcopy.. 3rd copy kaya nagtaka ko if ixerox ko ba?

^^di naman siguro babagsak ng ganun ganun lang ang stock market... magkakarecession yes.. pero syempre di mo naman gagawin na iwithdraw agad yung fund mo pag bagsak ang market.. tataas at taas pa din yan.

Nakita ko lang yung requirements sa site na downloadable. Or pupunta ba sa ebiz branch to get the forms mismo muna?

^Here's what I did (online):

1. Downloaded and accomplished all 3 forms.

2. Deposited my initial investment to their BDO account.

3. Sent the scanned copy of the following docs to their email:
   - 1 Account Opening Form (AOF)
   - 1 Investor Risk Profiling Questionnaire (IRPQ)
   - 1 Investment Application Form (IAF)
   - 1 Signature Card**
   - photocopy of 2 IDs that I signed on the right side of the paper 3 times
   - BDO Deposit Slip

4. Received an email saying that I could already send the hard copy of abovementioned docs to their office.

5. Sent the docs via LBC (yung **signature card 2 hard copies na ang kelangan)

6. Received an email from PhilEquity that they already received the docs and complete naman daw lahat, and that we could already schedule a skype interview for identity verification

7. Talked to one of their agents through Skype

8. On the following business day, received a confirmation notice stating how many units and how much per unit ang nabili ng initial investment ko.

I find e-Biz centers medyo hassle. I called them kasi and asked if sila 'yung magrereview ng docs and kung pwede ako magtanong sa kanila about MF. Yes, they will review if complete yung docs mo but they can't answer other MF-related questions. Parang LBC lang din sila kasi sila ang magpapadala ng docs to the head office yada yada. So I thought, why not contact PhilEquity directly via email? They respond naman within the day. Ayoko na kasi na may middleman na kausap so diretso na lahat kay PhilEquity

Just a question, yung Step 1 na nasa Procedures sa website nila stating "Download a copy of our prospectus" may ginawa ka ba about this? kelangan pa ba yun?

No need to download the prospectus when opening an account, not unless you want to study more about the fund

nag-email ako sa FAMI about procedures for redeeming of shares. Ganun ba talaga un mga sis the only way is to send the redemption form and 2 id's by courier? Hindi pa pwede send na lang thru email yun redemption form then to follow na lang yun hardcopy.

Conventional investment wisdom dictates that you practice asset allocation based
on your age. Normally you allocate 100-Age to Equity.

So as you age, your allocation to equities will slowly go down
and your allocation to bonds which is considered safer and less
volatile will go up.

By the time you reach retirement age, the volatility of your
equity allocation should not impact your portfolio as much.

At least, that's how its supposed to happen in theory.
