pls give me insights

^^Use Bloomberg's search function to find the symbol for your mutual fund. For example, Philequity Fund's is PHILEQT. Then click on "add to watchlist". Edit in your own account to add your positions/holdings (date you bought it, number of shares, at what price, and etc.)

^I understand your confusion. It is ingrained in us as consumers to always look at a product's price before buying.

However, remember that in pooled funds, it is performance we are assessing and not price. The ATRKE Equity Opportunity Fund went from 3.71 to 4.43 this year. Philequity Fund went from 29.31 to 37.59. ATRKE may have looked cheaper at 3.71 at the start of the year, but your overall investment would've netted you only 19.41%. Compare that with Philequity Fund, which would've returned a much better 28.25% in the same time frame.

If you had invested 50k in each fund at the start of 2014, your money now would've been only 59,705 in ATRKE, while it would already be 64,125 in Philequity. (Fees not included for simplification.)

So look at it in percentages and not the NAV or how many shares your money is going to buy.

Ang hassle pala talaga mag-open sa Philequity! Wasted my 2.5 hours today sa pagdayo sa eBiz branch to submit the forms.

Hello sis KATNISS

plan ko mag-apply sa Philequity soon. Just want to clarify sa sinabi mo above, you mean after ipa-photocopy ang ID's ng ka-joint is kelangan pa nya i-sign ang each I.D nya dun sa xerox? Ilang signatures kelangan per I.D? How about yung sakin? kelangan ko din pirmahan each I.D sa xeroxed copy?
Planning to drop off the forms mismo sa office nila kasi mejo malapit lang to sa office namin.

^Your purpose for that money is to pay for school tuition. So go for the investment that can grow your money the most with preferably the least fees. And between your choices, that's the mutual fund.

Only choose the VUL if you have need for the insurance component. Otherwise, why unnecessarily pay more for something you don't need.

Finally filled out the PhilEquity forms and deposited my initial investment through BDO bank deposit today.

Sana maka-receive agad ako ng feedback from PhilEquity!

Any updates on COL incorporating Philequity in their platform? I'm thinking if I should wait for it to happen or just open an account with Philequity soon. TIA! :-*
