ang hubby ko nag invest sa ALFM.

sabi niya, wala daw fee pag maglalagay at mag pull out. anytime daw pwede.

May fee nga sis if you pull out your investment within the holding period. Pero walang fees or sales load when you subscribe or add. Check here -> http://www.alfmmutualfunds.com/mutual_fund#peso_bond_fund

Baka your hubby is pertaining to BPI UITFs. Yun wala nga sis.

that's exactly my point. sa ngayon mas malaki pa returns ko
sa short term fund ko.

Buti nlang ang BDO at Sunlife bond funds ko have
bond fund like returns  ;D

Talaga? Is ok I think kasi yung bond fund medyo mas risky nga [textspeak!] sa Short Term pero pabayaan mo lang makakabawi din yun. Short term fund is good for 1 yr investment tapos yung bond fund for 2-3 years. Or Baka mataas yung bili mo sa Bond Fund mo sis? Yung sa akin, yung equity ko now, naunahan na yung Short term ko even if yung ininvest ko sa short term is like 8x more sa equity ko na ininvest. Pang long term naman equity. Try ko nga mag practice na buy on dips. Imbak muna tapos bili pag bumaba na.

Hi sis. :) Good luck! You invested in PSIF ng ALFM?

Log in to BPI Express Online

More Options->View Account Details->View my Investment Account Portfolio

Click View Items(Might have to click twice)

You'll then see a breakdown per fund.

And I can confirm that you are invested in
the ALFM Peso Bond Fund just basing on your
fund's current value.

============================================

If you're curious how I came to that conclusion,
here's the explanation.

- Mutual Funds offer shares. There is no such
thing as a fractional share

- You said you invested on the 8th. If it was before
12nn, you would have gotten the NAV on the 8th: 314.29

if it was after 12nn, you would have gotten the NAV on
the 9th: 314.45

- Regardless which NAV you got though, you'd still have
31 whole shares:
10,000/314.29 = 31.8177
10,000/314.45 = 31.8015

Now take today's NAV which is 314.63
and multiply it by 31 shares

31x314.63 = *** 9753.53 ***

And there you go, your fund's current value
down to the last cent

Yun yung maganda sa ALFM sis. Walang sales load. Walang fee if maglagay ka at mag pull out. Pero I think there's management fee. Yung sales load lang yung wala. I have a PSIF sa ALFM. One of the reasons din why I chose PSIF.

^Between those two, Philequity pa rin. Even with the sales load, Philequity beats ALFM. Philequity Fund's true competitors are BDO Equity Fund and the BPI Philippines Stock Index Fund that sis MissChievous has. With the fees factored in, their 5-year, 3-year, year-on-year, and year-to-date performances are just neck-and-neck. For these 3 funds, it's only a matter of choosing which one is most convenient for you.

^^ Tama si sis ikaela. Convenience was a huge factor din for me. BPI ako so very convenient ako sa ALFM PSIF. I wanted to try out PhilEquity din. Ganda din ng performance ng fund kasi. Pero I find it hard opening another BDO/East West Bank na acct.

Ah okay wait, nalito na ako. If you were referring to BPI/ALFM's PSIF when you said "ALFM", m_lim, then, yes, halos the same lang sila ng performance ng Philequity Fund if all fees are included. You can go with either one and it won't matter much. Not unless, of course, if ALFM or Philequity's fund managers make a decision in the future that'll either skyrocket or crash their respective funds' price. If only we could see into the future!

Your siblings can't get a TIN number?
I think pag minor you can open an ITF account
(In Trust For) pero that really means its for them
not you.
As far as I know, once they hit 18 they automatically
assume ownership of the account.

Ok ba ang Philequity dividend yield fund? Pinakabago nila to. Ang hirap kasi mag maintain ng madaming account kaya balak ko lumipat sa Philequity kasi pwede sa BDO for top up. Ano ang pinakamagandang MF? Thanks

Ok in what aspect po?

Check out their fact sheet for yourself at their site.
But personally, it looks ok performance-wise. So far the fund is
performing better its benchmark the PSEi

Are they better than Sunlife MF?
