^ Thanks sis ikaela! I was considering Philequity before din, pero ang taas ng sales load. Tapos BPI lg meron ako and it was kind of inconvenient for me to open additional accounts in BDO or UnionBank. Mataas nga yung perf ng FAMI and Philequity. Top 2 ko sila tapos isa pa yung Phil Stock Index Fund (PSIF).

I kind of gathered info and compared, mas makakamura ako ng fees sa PSIF. Tapos convenient pa kasi BPI ako so yun, I went with PSIF. Just applied this morning. Good luck sa atin. I'm still considering a new MF in the future. Probably, yung balanced fund naman. I have opened a money market din na UITF kasi I need the money next year for that. Yung PSIF ko is for my retirement. Excited na ako!

Hi, may nakaexperience na ba dito to withdraw all your shares sa FAMI? Do we need to send the hardcopy of the confirmation receipt ba?

^^Good choice! Oo, minsan kung ano convenient sayo, yun yung bagay na investment sayo. Among my top choices rin noon was AB Capital and UnionBank, but hindi naman ako maka-drop-by sa office/branch nila.

^Nakapag-full redemption na ako sa FAMI. At that time, kailangan pa yung confirmation receipts. Pero ngayon hindi na. You just need an ID and a filled-out redemption request form here: http://fami.com.ph/investment-procedure/for-redemption/

I have ALFM and FAMI and happy naman ako sa returns ng ALFM and very convenient for me because of bpiexpressonline. Plan ko na to withdraw funds with FAMI and open up Philequity as for me it's more easier to topup and withdraw funds with them.

^^ Thanks sis! I value convenience a lot. Hehe. Ok na ok yung BPI sa akin. Happy nag e-earn na yung ALFM. Lol, PHp50.00. Planning to top up more soon. Kaka top up ko lg ng Short Term fund ko na UITF.

^Anong ALFM fund yung kinuha mo sis? I agree with you with the convenient side. BDO ka ba sis? For Philequity ba ok lg na savings account na naka passbook ang pag top up? Magkano yung sales load?

^ ALFM Growth Fund yun saken. Started investing with them more than a year ago and ok yun returns nya ngayon given na mataas ulit ang market.

With Philequity as far as I know 3.xx something yun sales load pero does not matter ok naman yun service nila. Sa FAMI kasi Metrobank lang pede magtopup tapos wala naman ako savings account din sa MBT so a little hassle for me.

Yun yung nag pa alanganin sakun sa Philequity, medyo mataas yung sales load. Eh plan ko pa naman mag top up regularly kaya parang ang mahal if ganun.

sorry for the ignorance yung ALFM ba is the same as the mutual funds that bpi is offering? nag backread ako sa dami ng terms na nakita ko sobrang di na yata kinaya ng braincells ko..
How do you open an ALFM fund? sa bpi?

^ Yes sis. ALFM is the BPI Mutual Fund. Punta ka lg sa BPI to fill out some forms. Tapos 2 IDs yung requirement + yung minimum investment money mo. Mabilis lang. Friday ako nag apply. 3 working days sinabi pero nag appear na yung account ko sa bpi expressonline account ko nung Monday tapos by Tuesday, pumasok na yung funds.

thanks sis! grabe confused na confused ako kasi sa website ng bpi parang iba yung tinatawag nilang mutual funds hehe. what type of mutual funds did you get in bpi?

Maybe it would clear up your confusion.

As you can see ALFM is what majority(only 3 have
a different name) of the mutual funds are called.

The other 2 are funds for priests and one is an Index Fund(PSIF).

BPI funds are super convenient but is not so good performance wise.

mas ok ba performance ng alfm kesa sa fami? mas gusto ko sana magopen sa fami kaso naha-hassle ako sa pag open. yung tipong download ka ng forms tapos i-fa fax sa kanila tapos yung original ipa-pouch.. mas nasanay kasi ko sa conventional na tipong punta ka lang ng branch fill up ng forms tapos sila na bahala, parang nag-oopen lang ng account sa branch.. kaya tuloy im considering alfm na lang..

thing with fami lang kasi talagang mutual funds talaga ang specialization at services na ino-offer nila so im expecting na puro magagaling yung mga traders or mga humahawak ng pera doon.. unlike sa bpi na lahat ng services eh meron.. akin lang naman..

convenience, same lang naman sila. pag-open ng account almost same procedures lang. you have to fill out the forms and submit the originals to the branch or send it via courier. then you can make additional investments online - for ALFM syempre thru expressonline, FAMI through Metrobank naman.

Thanks for the link sis! Oh ang akala ko pag sa alfm i can go straight na sa branch to get some forms so no need na to print and scan unlike sa fami?

^ Yes, sis. If it's your first time to apply for an investment sa ALFM, you need to go to BPI. May forms sila. Readily available. Mabilis processing. Mga 2-3 days lang makikita mo na sa BPI EOL mo. Bring with you the money na din.

Paper gains ko 30% na. Di ko na rin maalala when ako nagumpisa maginvest. pero mga 2 years na siguro.

^No sis, once lang ako naglagay More on stocks kasi ako. pang 'emergency fund' ko lang ang mutual fund.

parang gusto ko na sa AFLM nalang.. BPI pala may hawak neto.

advise kasi ng friend ko, between FAMI vs. Philequity, mas malaki gain ni Philequity pero nung bumagsak daw, mas malaki rin binagsak.
