CLEAN EATING ANYONE?
« on: April 05, 2014, 03:08:04 pm »
Anyone here eating clean?  Care to share your recipes?

I am based overseas and I have been eating clean for almost a week now, from size 10, I am now size 8, no red meat, salt and sugar however, we will be traveling to the Philippines for a month and despite all the yummy food out there, I would like to stick to eating clean, my only worry is that most of the ingredients in the recipes I follow may not be available locally.

Ladies, what do you think?

I can't maintain CLEAN EATING :( Since nag wowork ako, usually breakfast lang or dinner yung kaya ko - since I could prepare it at home.

We have brown rice naman sa market, then usually boiled white eggs
I sometimes replace meat with tofu <3, Oven-fried Sweet Potatoes okay din :D

Then minsan naman salads lang,  mga vegetables salads, hindi ako masyado nag ddressing since feeling ko kasi mas masaya yung katawan ko kapag walang dressings :)

@thesis_gal - You posted this a month ago.  Are you still here or flew back na?  Were you able to maintain clean eating while you were here?

Thanks for creating this thread.  I'll be starting tomorrow so wish me luck!

Ang tagal ko na din pinag-isipang gawin to, pero I couldn't fully commit, so I started by eating steamed dory/chicken/shrimp with steamed veggies for lunch the past 5 days.  Ok naman pala, kaya ko naman pala yung lasa.  In fact, masarap  ;D  I felt light after the meal, although hindi talga fully busog, if you know what I mean.  Then yesterday, I decided to cut sugar out of my diet for 6 days of the week.  Gagawin ko sanang buong week, pero gusto ko din maging realistic.  Ako yung tipo ng tao na kelangan ng cheat day.

Can you share what changes you saw in your body in, say, 1-2 weeks of clean eating?  Madami na din akong nababasang testi online, pero still very much interested in fellow GTalkers experiences.

I'm looking forward to how my body will react/change after I cut out sugar.  Sobrang dependent kasi ako sa sugar, more so than carbs.  Feeling ko yan ang main factor bakit ako super tumaba the past few years, and yung weight gain ko pa more sa belly, hips and thighs ayayay.

No red meat? Why not? It's high in protein, which 1.) signals the body to burn fat 2.) feeds the muscles, and 3.) keeps you feeling full longer.

Hi ladies. Ang dami ko nakikita online lalo na sa ig, mga posts ng celebrities na food cooked without salt. How do i do that? Gusto ko rin sana itry at home. Kaso wala akong alam na pwede substitute sa salt for cooking. Ako rin umiiwas na sa meat, lalo na I found out i have endo kaya talagang dapat tiis tiis. Sana may makapag share.. thanks! :)

^ I don't use salt din. It causes bloating eh. Try incorporating herbs, spices, lemon to make your food tasty na lang. :)

^ I have the following at home:
cinnamon, cinnamon bark, nutmeg, chili flakes, cayenne, garlic powder, white pepper powder, spice, paprika, clove, vanilla extract, fresh basil, dried basil, oregano, thyme, mint leaves, rosemary, parsley, etc. :)

Try experimenting with them. For example, I learned that I like nutmeg in my omelette/scrambled eggs. So, no need for me to add salt na. Just nutmeg, black pepper, and almond milk or greek yogurt.

Pero if super need talaga ng salt, I use Himalayan Sea Salt.
