clueless_bride: Your policy is VOID. The fact that your policy says that it was "signed in the Philippines" yet you know that you signed it abroad is already falsification of documents. You will not get any of the benefits. Zero, nada, none. However, by law, the insurance company is obligated to refund you in full. That agent will most likely be removed. She knows her license limits her to sell insurance within the Philippines only. She is also putting your and your friends' futures by selling you those invalid insurance policies. To put it bluntly, linoko niya kayong lahat. Please also warn your friends. The one out I see here is if the insurance company themselves know that the policy was signed abroad and they accepted it. Go straight to the insurance company to find out.
^Well, it's either you file the report and she risks losing her license, or you don't file the report and you risk your own life insurance coverage and the hard-earned money you paid for it. Your choice.I read in the other thread that the agent also told you that wala na tanong-tanong ang insurance company after the 2-year contestability period. That only applies to policies that are valid. Your contract is void and invalid right from the start.I believe you will be given the choice to either keep the policy or refund all your money. If you choose to keep it, the insurance company will then decide if they will accept and authenticate it. Just get it all in writing.Good luck with sorting things out!
