^i agree sis jentotmd, it is very important to let your emcee know the kind of vibe and the do's and dont's for your event. befoe the wedding i met my emcee together with my husband, my coordinator and our moms so that he will get to know our personalities. I also told him what I want and what I don't want him to do on our day. Maganda ang kinalabasan kasi walang nangyari na nakakagulat, off or awkward. Maraming guests ang natuwa kasi parang wala daw talaga sinayang na oras during our event. It was as if everything was timed perfectly.

Ang laki ng role ng emcees sa weddings talaga kasi kahit super ganda ng styling and everything pero hindi ok ang emcee ang laki ng effect. Yes dapat talaga kausapin muna yung emcee kasi sometimes they asks impromptu questions to so e guests tapos yung guest eh hindi naman super close tapos wala masyado masabi, very awkward. One instance na nakwento lang sakin ng sis ko. And then meron naman na, super interview si emcee sa debutante, super shy and kabado sl wala masyado masagot, the thing is super tanong pa din si emcee.  Nightmare. Isa ito sa mga ikina kaba ko sa wedding ko hehe but i cant afford the more expensive ones. :/

Sis Kisses1417 may at least 2 alignment meetings ka naman with your emcee before the actual wedding, where you can discuss the program flow and also warn him/her about your style/ preferences For me I also met them before even booking to ensure na di lang ok magsalita (that you can tell right away from their videos) but also ok personality, not too stiff and not too vivacious either since the wedding is still a formal event. You'll also be able to tell if madali kausap.

help me mga kabride..we need a really good one emcee for our night wedding..so kailangan hindi antukin ang mga bisita namin kasi 6pm pa start ng ceremony namin so late na makastart ng program..so dapat talaga maging alive ang emcee namin so maging alive din ang mga bisita..tagaytay wedding pa kame so dapat di agad maguwian mga bisita..😄pls anyone known someone that you can recommend..any bride here with the same situation of mine na night wedding din?or naka expirience na umattend ng night wedding?

Darlene Tan-Salazar madalas sa tagaytay but there will be an oot fee na then. Joy catubig I heard is a lively host. Missy litao, mallory ferrer cosio yan mga nababasa ko usually. As for me, we chose dts because of the type of program we are trying to achieve..

Thanks sis!! She was ok when I saw her at a wedding and debut. But anyways, fiance just reminded me that his good friend who is a prime time news anchor can emcee for us! He just has to ask daw. I'm so happy because its another expense down!

Sometimes I hate being such an eager beaver. We booked our host last year. Now, I'm thinking of replacing our host. I'm blaming this forum for that (hahaha). I got intrigued about this particular host whose name is almost always mentioned here so I checked her out, followed her, read her tips and saw one video. Nakakainis every time I get excited about something. Hahaha.

I haven't cancelled on any of our suppliers so I kind of feel bad on canceling because she has not done anything to deserve that. We haven't met her naman actually (silly eager beaver me, I know!) pero she was the host in my cousin's wedding and she was okay naman and kasama yun sa OTD package that we got.

Dapat talaga when you have booked a supplier bawal nang tumingin ng iba! Hahaha!

sis as an emcee, for me ok lang to. pero a video or pictures (as part of the host's portfolio) will also do para less hassle sa bride and groom yung pupuntahan mo pa yung host sa event para lang mapanood.
and another issue here is yung celebrant ng event, do you think papayag sila na may nanonood sa host nila na hindi naman nila kilala?
