Length of Preparation

kami din 6 mos lang... booked n halos lahat ng suppliers... yung invites n lang finafinalize...

Kami 2 years. For December 2015 wedding, church palang ang booked. Research, oculars, bridal fairs pa muna kami as of now, pero may mga shorlisted ng suppliers. Need ng mahabang time para mag ipon and for DIYs

1.2 years before the wedding nagstart na ako magplan. Although kami pa lang ni hubby ang nakakaalam nun. Yung pinaka nag-start na talaga kami to book church and venue, and tell important people about it, 11 months.

1 year & 7 months for us. We got engaged Aug 2013. Gusto namin 1st quarter ang wedding, pressure naman kung 1st quarter ng 2014 kaya January 2015 nalang para maenjoy din namin itong engangement season

Kami 1 year and 7 months. Got engaged last December 2013 then booked na almost all major suppliers (church, prep/reception venue, caterer, photographer, videographer, and photobooth) last January. As of now, nadagdag ang wedding coordinator, band and couturier. I'm super happy sa progress ng wedding preps. Advantage din talaga ang longer prep para more time mag-ipon and hindi ngarag sa preparation.

I think pareho tayo sis. Walang dramatic "will you marry me?" moment. We just decided to get married and then planned and prepared for it.

Usually the preparations starts from engagement until wedding date.

IMO, as soon as you've decided that you guys want to marry without the "formality", you're already engaged. If you want closure, you can always ask your fiancee "so engaged na tayo?" XD

Jan 2015 bride here! Started full-blown planning around Dec. 2013 and booked suppliers starting Jan. 2014  so far so good. tigil muna sa preps

sis juliepie for me, hindi naman kelangan ng ring to say na your engaged. For formality lang naman siya. The moment you start planning your wedding and letting the people know that you're getting married, yun na ang engagement period.

It's not an issue naman for us. We don't care about what others say or think. When they (esp those who are not on our guest list) ask kung kailan kami ikakasal, we often say "you'll find out soon". LOL! It works okay naman for me, but I think it's just me. I'm not the type kasi to let the whole world know what's going on in my life.
