Mga sis, question uli, I am currently scheduling an appointment, kanina nasa mid-March ang appointment, tapos ngayon may Feb something na appointment, ba't ganoon? Nag-aalala kasi kami dahil pupunta kami ng Europe kaya ayaw naming ibigay yung passport namin, so sana yung appointment sa April pa.

Isa pa, wala akong natanggap na confirmation email pero mayroon akong confirmation slip, okay lang ba yun?

^just bring the DS confirmation, yung may photo, barcode, and 'THIS IS NOT A VISA" na nakalagay, plus appointment confirmation with barcodes, and proof of payment (in case hingin).

as for scheduling, you can choose april naman or any date you wish. may calendar na lalabas with the available dates. you don't have to choose the earliest date available.

Daming nagbebenta sa labas ng embassy!

1. Nung dumating ako, may lumapit sa'kin and tinanong agad ako anong oras appointment - sabi ko 8:30am. She led me to a waiting area with chairs. Php30 pala per chair! Eh 2 hrs lang tulog ko the night before so keri na, di na ko pumalag.

2. Pipilitin ka nilang bumili ng ballpen. Php20 each. Hindi kelangan ng ballpen. Walang isusulat sa loob. Unless gusto mo magsulat to pass the time.

3. To avoid traffic, I got there ~7am for the 8:30am appointment. Mga 9am na nun pero nasa labas pa din yung batch namin waiting for our turn. Pwede pala talaga dumating ~15mins before appointment.

4. The nearest CR available outside the embassy is sa Coffee Bean right across. Pero de susi yung CR sa labas ng CBTL and di ka nila papahiram ng susi unless paying customer ka. Pwedeng mag-antay ng actual CBTL customer at sabayan nyo na lang, just make sure not to creep her out

I got approved just this morning - di ko lang alam tho kung gano katagal yung ibibigay, but it's def better than di maapprove. I came alone, sabi ko magttour kami ng Nanay ko na may visa na. She asked ano pang gagawin, how long I've been with my current work (6 years), and how much I make. Kinabahan lang ako when she asked me ano course ko (BS Nursing) but sabi ko di naman ako nagpractice since I graduated. Also may mga nakasabay ako na J1 applicants, hindi din lahat sa kanila naapprove. So I guess depende talaga yan sa conversation flow mo with the officer.

Mabagal process nila ngayon unlike last year when I got mine. 8:30 na saka palang umuusad yung line. 7:30 yung interview sked namin. Inip na inip at inis na anak ko.

im married but no longer with the X but i have to put married sa form.. may tanong dun about sa spouse. so i provided his info. sa tingin nyo ba tatanungin pa sya sakin sa interview? sabay kasi kami ng mom ko mag papa-interview. hindi ko pa nasend yung form kasi hindi ko sure if matatanong pa sya. sa address din kasi na nilagay ko sa kanya is the same as mine or should i put i dont know? thanks po sa makakasagot!

hi @ellyrem, sorry hindi ko alam ang sagot sa mga ganoon but I guess the important thing is to be honest. Maybe the other experts here would know the answer to that.

We had our interview today. It was relatively fast. We got there before 730 but had to find a parking space. We ended up parking sa parking lot ng Emerald Garden, free if you eat there and 100 pesos if you don't. Mga 745 naghihintay kami doon sa area kung saan may card na nakasulat yung appt time na pinapapasok. Medyo madami yun sa 730 am slot, after that a handful for 745 then 8 am, iilan lang, tapos nagtawag na sila ng mga for 815, that was around 805 pa lang. We were in and out in about an hour.                                   

We didn't wait long to be called. I'm not sure if it makes a difference which consul you end up but for every consul, there were denials and approvals. Napansin namin maraming tanong yung isang Chinese lady consul as we were seated right outside her window but so far, equal number of denials and approvals naman ang binibigay niya. 

We ended up being interviewed by a middle aged American lady consul, who looked nice and kind. She asked us, why we were going to the US. My brother answered, to attend his best friend's wedding where he will be the bestman. The consul asked where the wedding will be and then what do we do and how much do we earn in a month. I was asked if I was part of the wedding party, I said No. Her last question was what countries have we visited.. ganoon. We were waiting for more questions as she was looking and typing at her screen. But after a while she said, Okay, your visas will be ready in a week's time. My brother and I were quite surprised, parang, that's it?                                         

Mama squeak is right, na-profile na nila if you're qualified for a visa or not. Feeling ko nga formality lang mga questions ng consul or maybe to double check kung ano ang nakasulat sa form mo, kasi parang hindi naman siya nakikinig hehe.

                                   

The usual questions I heard while waiting for our turn are:
- What's the purpose of your travel to the US?
- Do you have any relatives in the US?
- When did you graduate from college?
- What was your course?
- Are you retired? Do you have children/grandchildren? How many?
- How are you paying for your trip?
- How much is your gross/net pay?

Ellyrem, yes put married sa form because technically you are married. If they ask you about him just answer truthfully. Isang tanong, isang sagot. Be consistent and tell the truth but dont divulge info not being asked of you. All the best to your application!

Pano po ako? I got married last december and my passport is still my maiden name and single ang nakalagay dun. Gusto namin ni hubby mag apply as family. For our honeymoon. Apelido ba ng dalaga ilalagay ko since yun ang nasa passport  then bring marriage cert o apelyido ko na ng married ako?

Kung anong nakalagay sa name sa passport mo yun ang ilagay mo (maiden name in your case) then sa question of civil status indicate that your married.

Pag meron ng 10-year multiple entry tourist visa tapos nawala yung passport, anong gagawin? Kukuha ba ulit ng visa?

^Yes. This happened to my Mom. After getting a new passport she had to apply for visa again. No guarantee that one will get the same 10-year ME visa but fortunately for my Mom she was given the same visa validity.

My interview is scheduled on Monday..parang kinakabahan pa ako. haha. By the way, this is for a business trip all expenses is shouldered by the company. Sana makapasa ako.
Question lang po, yung appointment letter is the same with the appointment confirmation?

Hi, just wanna share my case and ask for advices.

I was issued 10 yrs US Visa (Tourist Visa) in 2007. I was minor back then. Sinabay ako ng parents ko so it was easy lang. Mag la lapse na sya next year February.
I want to renew. The thing is, hindi na ako minor ngayon so that means I have to apply as an adult na talaga. Im afraid I might get denied kasi I just graduated college and still dont have enough docs to back up my application.

Google IWP US visa, it was called VRP during my time. If your not too confident to apply on your own, you can wait till you find a job to renew. Also indicate your parents will pay for the trip para they wont look into your funds. Halos same situation tayo but i have work na when i renewed.

I just renewed my visa, even though it's been expired for more than 10 years.  I filled up the application and brought the documents needed for application of a visa. If you will be leaving anytime soon, then you can use your parent's statement of accounts and just note that they will be taking care of.your expenses all throughout, or apply later when you really need to use your visa  after you have a credible background. 

What the US Consulate is looking for is evidence that you will not overstay or be a hindrance to the US government. So if you have other documents bring it.  With that being said, they will still treat you as an adult applying for a visa so results will still be 50/50 percentage of either a denial or an approval.

triciaa, yes was granted another 10 year multiple. 2012 pa when i renewed. I really did use up my previous visa halos every year/2 years i go and i never overstayed, none of my family did so i guess they saw the background also. They never asked about my salary, maybe because even at 26 i wrote my dad will pay for my trip lol it worked naman for me. Sa US embassy naman bihira na they will look/ask for your documents (bank statement etc), they do but bihira. Pero you have to have documents ready parin just in case. All the best.

I got mine last Friday with 10yrs validity period and multiple entry. I'm just so happy:)
Excited for the trip kahit next month pa. haha

Wow buti ka pa! Ako naman tong Visa ko, once ko lang nagamit. and then this yr uli para bago mag expire makapag US uli ako. I will apply when I have work na, but will indicate pa rin that the parents would be the one to pay for it. Thank you so much!
