I'm supposed to be in San Jose by July 15 for some business meetings, visa application is shouldered by my company. My visa priority is under PIP na pero ang schedule na binigay is July 23 which is one month from now. Dapat 2 days lang vs 3-week waiting time lang based dun sa information sa website. Epekto pa rin kaya ito nung technical problems sa system nila?

Had my interview earlier today, and I my visa was approved! Yey! They'll be delivering my passport daw within 5 working days with the visa stamp.

update lang.. got my appointment rescheduled from 23-Jul to 30-Jun instead. may topak nga ang system. grabe.

Ladies, do I still have to photocopy my requirements when I go to the interview (for nonimmigrant visa)? Say if i bring my birth certificate, ITN from BIR, etc., do I still need to photocopy it? Because I read in their website that documents submitted to them won't be returned. Should I photocopy?

^you may bring photocopy pero they actually do not ask for any document. just bring something that you think may support your application, they may or may not look at it. yung sa akin wala silang hininging anything. i gave them my passport and ds160 confirmation and that's it. they asked kung sino magfifinance ng travel ko i said ako lang, they didn't ask for bank cert or anything. as in interview lang talaga.

^^dont na, they do return the documents. They rarely ask to show them the evidences actually.

Pag may relative ka ba sa US may chance ba na ma-approve ka US Visa? Tourist Visa lang naman. 3 Tita taga US, doon sila nakatira may kanya-kanyang bahay sila and sobrang okay ng buhay nila, nag invite na pumunta kami ng asawa at anak ko. Don kami mag stay sa house nila at ipapasyal kami. Okay kaya yun? Sagot na daw nila lahat basta amin pamasahe. Kaya lang di pa kami nakapag travel OTC, iniisip namin magkano kaya dapat show money namin? Saka si hubby lang may work eh, ayaw niya din ako magtrabaho peto may kanya-kanya kaming savings. Kaya lang di namin alam kung may chance makakuha pag ganyan..

^ang tinitignan ng consul ay yung profile mo at yung ties mo dito sa Pilipinas. Yung kamag-anak not as important unless nag TNT.

Sorry sis, I am not allowed to make pm here yet.  To answer your question, matagal na yung business (more than 10yrs) nagtake over ako sa management 3 yrs ago.  Dinala ko yung mga papers na makakapagpatunay na ako talaga ang may hawak ng business.  Just in case they ask for it.  Pero gaya ng sabi ng marami dito, walang papeles na hiningi.  Pero during the interview tinanong sa akin ng consul how long na existing yung business saka how long ako nagwork prior to taking over the said business.

Thanks @msRx for this my other question is, what kind of questions were in the DS-160 form for business owners? Coz fore sure it's different pag employee, want to know sana so I'd get my requirements ready na para tuloy-tuloy na sagot nalang

just had my interview this morning and got approved. yay! still have to wait though for 5 days max para sa delivery.

the consul only got my passport and DS-160. he didn't even bother to look at my other docs. the decision mainly relies on the interview itself. parang confirmation lang din nung details sa DS-160.

nakaka nerbyos pala. the girl interviewed before me was denied and given a letter.. yung blue paper ba yun.

Hi guys! ask ko lang po regarding sa pagapply ng tourist visa,

Here's my case, I'm going to visit my mom in California, she was granted her US Citizenship this month (June) she was living in the US for about 3 years now with her new Husband (they were legally married in the US 2 years ago).,  their source of income is through his partner's retirement pension (retired us military). I would like to spend a 3-week vacation , kasi I can't stay there longer, i have a regular work here as a regular government employee.

I am living with my partner here (we're not yet married) and we have a daughter.

Based on my given facts, what chances do I have in getting a tourist visa?

Its a 50/50 chance talaga. Will you be leaving your daughter behind? How long have you been working for the government? That would help you establish your ties here in the Philippines (work and child). I say just try your luck and mahirap kasi masabi na sureball approve or deny sa US visa kasi iba iba mag isip ang consul. Do well in the interview and be consistent.

Hi, thank you for your inputs, i'll be travelling alone, bisitahin lang si mother dear.. 5 years na me working sa government office. and i'll be the one to cover my travel expenses (sabihin ko na din kay consul.. with regards sa previous posts.. hehe)

My hubby's friend has a brother who works with the U.S. Homeland Security. We were told that the personal appearance/interview is more of formality. A decision has already been made prior the interview. When the DS160 form has been submitted and appointment confirmed, start na yan ng pag assess ng US. I remember one of the sisses here who posted that every bit of detail that happened to her in the states eh alam ng consul. I can only imagine gano kalawak ang database nila. Sabi Lang naman Sakin to.. Not sure if it's true

^lam mo sis, i think so too. kasi yung sa form about US contact information, I indicated there the institution which will host my examination. wala namang nakaindicate dun when my exam schedule is, pero during the interview when the consul officer asked me kung anong purpose of travel ko, i said i'll be taking the licensure exam, and alam nung officer yung exact date. I actually double checked sa copy ko ng ds160 kung may nilagay ba ako dun na date and wala. So i guess naconfirm na nila yun with the institution.
