Hi mga sis, I am planning to apply for a US visa, and I'm single and working, I'm a bit worried na baka madeny ako. Ano ba usually ang questions? And how much dapat ang nasa bank mo for them to give you a visa? Hindi kasi kalakihan ang naipon ko. My plan to go there is on August pa sana, okay lang ba if I schedule an interview by like April? Ayaw ko kasi mastress mashado in the planning. TIA

@gemstonerainbow usually they will look if you have strong ties in the philippines. wala naman specified amount kung magkano dapat ang laman ng bank account. better show them proof na babalik talaga ng pinas. you can apply as early as April

Share ko lang, I just got approved this morning! I had my appointment at 7:15am for B2 visa. It was okay naman, walang docs na hiningi sa akin although madami akong dala.hehe yay!!!

Me: Visit theme parks in Orlando, Florida; visit my relatives there and some shopping
VO: Who are your relatives there?
Me: My aunt and her family
VO: How long do you plan to stay there?

VO: How long have you been working for the company?
Me: 2 years 7 months this month

Me: Turning 7 years this year

Madali lang naman basta direct to the point ang sagot mo, wag paligoy-ligoy! Be confident at dapat memorize mo nakasulat sa application form mo. Tapos isa ko pang ginawa, inipit ko yung mga forms ko sa passport pages na may visa or stamps para pag inabot sa VO, kita niya agad na nakapagtravel na ako. Di na niya ko tinanong kung saan na ako nakarating

Hi mga sis, same here plan to apply for US Tourist visa B2, I have a friend that gave me an invitation to visit.

My concern is it was so long ago since last ako nag travel outside the country and once lang.. feel ko kasi it gives more edge if you have travel a lot and madami stamps yung passport mo. Hayyyyy. I wish I could go this year talaga.

I am employed for almost 2 years na sa company namin and I feel like that's it haha. I am have some savings pero not much. I remember someone advise me before if ever daw mag apply dapat the earliest schedule the better?

Just in case ba ma deny how long until pwede mag re apply?

^hi sis, pwede ka na mag re-apply anytime pero dapat may significant change sa profile mo para naman may edge, may isasagot ka pag tinanong kang "what has changed since your last application?"

yung schedule naman, siguro a month or two before the trip pwede na.

My baby boy got a 10-year multiple entry B1/B2 visa. It got delivered today. I'm a single mother. So I thought they would not consider giving him a visa because of my circumstances, but they did. And I'm thankful. They just based it on my previous travels to the US. I had a good record. So even though my son's dad is an American (We're not together anymore nor did we ever get married), they still gave my son a visa based on my merits. I was just honest with them. And that's it.

Buti sis they did not ask you to claim US citizenship for your son? Cause i read in a different thread na the embassy did not grant her son's petition kasi the father is a US citizen so dapat daw try muna to claim report of birth.

But yes, it really pays to be honest talaga. Actually better pa sa kanila na your pay is not that high pero your honest over a billionaire na inconsistent ang answers.

Hi sis, thanks for the advise! I did back read nga and some other who did re-application. I am decided to push through this, though will work on the details muna na mangagaling sa friend ko for the sponsorship coz I google like sample ng form and they are requiring some details of your sponsor.

Anyway, I'll keep around reading pa to get more tips and idea. Uhhhhhh hopefully I get a good shot at this haha.

hi sisses, planning to apply US visa din sana... my auntie is a US citizen pati mga cousin ko is it ok kung hindi ko sila ideclare kung tanungin ako? hindi naman malalaman if ever na may relatives ako? baka kasi pag sinabi kong yes tapos check yung profile nila yun pa ikabagsak ko heheh... before kasi my auntie is TNT bago pa niya makuha mga pinsan ko. so pag may tanong if may relatives ako sabihin ko NO ba dapat? TIA sa sasagot....

@beachpatrol Thank you for sharing your experience, and congratulations! Multiple entry ba ang visa mo or you don't know yet? Very big help sis at least pagdating dun, alam ko na ang mga dapat iprepare ko. I have a relative living there naman, and I asked for his details na rin. When you went there may mga narinig ka ba na na-deny?

@SOFIEMAE sis number 1 rule is be honest. Magaling mambasa ng tao ang mga VO at malalaman nila kung nagsisinungaling ang applicant. Sino ba yung idedeclare mo na contact sa US?

@gemstonerainbow yup 10 yrs yung visa ko. Last year pa yan Yung kasabay ko halos puro mga mag OJT sa US. Sosyal haha  meron ako nakasabay na babae medyo matanda na, yabang pa niya eh pinakita pa niya sa katabi nya na may Canadian visa siya kaya confident siya. Pero ayun denied.  Meron din iba paikot-ikot ang sagot or di makasagot ng derecho, halatang di nagpractice, denied din.

Ang strategy sis, upo ka sa malapit sa windows para marinig mo ang mga tanong. Madalas what's the purpose of your trip ang unang tanong.

This information will make Philippine nationals feel a lot of resentment against the US govt. if they do not already know it. My nephews who are  Singaporean nationals arrived yesterday for their grandma's funeral  and I  picked them up from LAX(Los Angeles international). I asked them how they were able to come here so soon and was told that they just applied for  US visas online and got them right away. No in person interviews/no showing proof that they are coming back. I said that was really easy considering Filipinos go thru tooth and nail to get one assuming   they are lucky to  get one at all. That is real discrimination at its best.

^Agree.  Perks of Singapore passport holders.  They are visa free to almost all countries, and if ever required, it's just so easy for them to apply and get approved.

@Sofiemae, be honest to the consular officer.  Just make sure na you know their status in the U.S. and their jobs, in case the consular officer asks about them.   I suggest, gawin mong contact person sa US (yung ilalagay mo sa form) is yung legal ang pag pasok sa U.S.

Nope. I am aware of CRBA (Certificate of Report of Birth Abroad). But I do not have plans of making my son a citizen. His father and I had a fallout because of his family. Long story. But they're kinda racist. So I do not care for the citizenship. I can give my son a good life here in the Philippines. And hassle and gulo lang yan if I go through the process. I don't want drama na. Sa kanila na lang yang citizenship nila.

Not to be condescending or anything but I did not meet my son's father online. I am not a mail order female who goes after old divorced men. No offense. Pero that's a stereotype. My son's dad is even 6 years younger than I am. And he's in grad school. I worked in the US and met him there. His family thinks I am just a gold-digging Asian who's after a greencard. Can't blame them. Dami naman talaga kasing gumagawa noon. Pero that has never been an agenda for me.

We were in a serious relationship, mind you. His family were all for me. Kaso pala behind my back, dami na silang racist issues against me. Eh, nagkaproblema sa birth control. So ayan. I told them I will never get an abortion. Nagalit sila lalo. They thought naman I am using my son as an anchor baby. Kaya umuwi ako sa Pilipinas at dito nanganak para wala silang masabi. Ni singkong duling wala akong hiningi from them. Kahit after the birth, I didn't ask for child support. Sinusumbatan pa ko kung magkano daw ba ang gusto kong huthutin from their son. Sabi ko, no thank you. He can keep his money. I just need him to be in my son's life. Willing naman siya.

Kahit sa application ko, sakin lahat. I never mentioned my son's father other than the fact that I said that I am not married and I live with my parents still so my son will have a stronger familial support system. I was honest about my circumstances. Sa totoo lang, I have a better life here than the life that I have in the US. My dad is a lawyer. My mom is a CPA. I was almost a lawyer. Pero I ended up being a paralegal to my dad. I have a catering business. The consul asked me about my travels to the US and I just told her all about them. I've had two 10-year multiple entry visas and one 5-year multiple entry visa na since I was a kid. And I never overstayed. I said we had relatives in the US too pero hindi immediate.

Mabilis lang ang interview. My son was asleep the whole time. After 2 minutes, she said to expect the passport next week. Tapos yun na. Pagkita ko, 10 year multiple ang binigay sa son ko. Talo pa ko. Nung bata nga ko 5 years lang binigay sakin. Haha It really pays to be honest.

need some advice i applied a visa last dec 2014 luckily got approved 10 yrs multiple sa application ko I put the tentative date ng travel is feb 2015 hindi ako natuloy kasi plano ko is sa jan 2016 na sabay sabay kami ng parents ko ok lang ba ako mag travel kahit feb 2015 ang dapat punta ko .. thank you

^Walang kaso yan sis. As long as your visa is valid hindi ka para kwestiyunin kung bakit matagal mo ginamit.
