^ Yes wala talaga guarantee kahit family application niyo or nakapagtravel na sa other countries na ma-approve kayo. Minsan whole family ang denied or minsan meron lang members na hindi na approve.

Tapos diba through window lang naman ang interview, once natawag ang number yong father ko lang ba ang pede pumunta sa window or pede rin sumama yong sister ko? chaperon lang sya since senior na si father.

^ If chaperon ang sister mo for your father, she will be with him all the way until the interview pati dun sa mauuna na finger scanning. Minsan may tanong lang kung ano relation nila isa't-isa usually yan lang naman ang tanong then all consul's questions will be answered by your father. Pwede for example since english or like iba na medyo mahina na ang tenga ng applicant pwede nila ulitin or translate yung question but the applicant ang kailangan sumagot.

Yes, actual case:   When I was 14, an older sister was 22, plus my mom -- sabay kami 3  renew ng tourist visa -- my older working sister was denied.  She was then working for a bank.   My mom was given 10 yrs, ako 5 but shucks -- tinatakan my visa: must travel with mother.  Susko, dati walang ganon...  The 3 of us had previous visas, always, and we travel to the US every year.   (My sister got a visa to study for her MBA 8 months after.).

^same experience ng cousin ko and friend ng sister ko. renewal lang pareho, may multiple noon. buong family binigyan ulit except sa kanila.

^Hindi kaya natapat dun sa Asian lady consul? My friend who travels a lot mainly to The US and Europe was recently denied even if renewal din. When she reapplied after a week, the Caucasian guy consul who approved her visa even commented that the lady consul should not have denied her seeing my friend's travel history. Actually matagal na known na yang Asian lady na yan na masungit and nagdedeny. Di ko nga alam bakit nandyan pa yan.

^ it was not the Asian dragon.  Caucasian.  IMO, kasi my sister did not prepare her financial docs well.  Sanay umasa sa mom ko to oversee  the docs. Eh hindi na sya minor, & she was already working, so she must present her own financials.   Our  mom brings thick folders, anything & everything there already.  Tapos yang sister ko, ang tigas ng ulo. Like, she didn't put her folder together till the last minute --  early AM after coming home from some party. 

During the interview, it came to the point na parang if  our mom would insist all 3 or nothing -- coz we were all going as a family (others' visas current pa) on a vacation --  parang pina ramdam ng Consul na all 3 of us would be denied.  Susko. I remember praying right there and then na my mom would just not object  at ma contento sya hers and mine would be renewed.  Well, outside --  na deny nga my older sister -- she was pissed my mom didn't insist package deal kaming 3. 

M.LIM:  So there, your financial docs must tell a complete story.   Our mom really over preps. We are 8 children, then we usually bring at least 1 yaya.  1 folder for business docs. Another for  personal legal docs.  The 3rd for bank passbooks & certified statements as to account balances, credit card statements (to show  how much we spend, lol),  placement certificates, stock brokerage company's statements, etc etc etc
Pati Meralco & water bills, PLDT too --  she brings last 6 months -- to show where we live  & how humongous our  utility consumption.

The point is:  prove you have a good life here - bakit ka mag TNT doon?   Or, that you cannot earn as much as you earn here over there.

^sis, paano mag apply ng visa for yaya?

naiinis ako sa sarili ko, hindi ko pa sinabay sa baby ko. para sana at least may kasabay siya hanggang pagpasok sa loob at present kami sa interview niya.

pwede ba mag request ng tagalog speaking consul? yung process, may mag gguide naman sa loob. yung interview ang inaalala ko.

Sisses, magiging tulong ba if my father will reason out kapag tinanong sya ng length of stay, sasabihin nya 3 months instead of 6 months na nakalagay sa application form na sinagutan because he needs to come back for his daughter's wedding? 3 months lang talaga kasi ang balak nya, nag kamali lang na nailagay.

No need to answer my previous post - father got approved yesterday! 

Wait na lang nya ang passport nya.

Hindi pinapasok sister ko sa loob ng embassy kahit na senior na si father, good thing may girl na nag assist naman daw sa kanya ng magkitang mag isa lang sya. 3 questions lang tinanong, yong purpose of travelling, length of stay and kung nakatravel na ba ng ibang country si father. Wala ding documents na hinanap di na rin nya napakita ang invitation ng eldest sister ko. Girl daw ang vo nag interview sa kanya at may kabataan pa daw.

Profile ni father:
68 years old
monthly income: pension only
traveled to South Korea once

I would like to share my experience in getting that US VISA. Tigasan lang nang mukha. Wala akong savings. Pay check to pay check ang peg ko. Galing pa ako sa shift nung na-interview ako. Matagal pa ang pinila ko kesa sa minutong ininterview ako. Usual question, how long do you intend to stay sabi ko 3 weeks lang. Anong work ko sabi ko IT helpdesk. Parang job interview ang naging tema ng interview. Ilang taon na daw ako. Siguro ang naging edge ko lang eh sa American Company ang mga napapasukang trabaho ko. Basta kahit mabagal magsalita basta malinaw at tumingin sa mata o ilong ng interviewer. First time kong kumuha then multiple pa ang nakuha ko. After the interview, i went straight sa restroom at humagulgol ako doon. Hindi lahat nakakakuha ng US Visa kahit me pera ka pa. Im so thankful. Next year gagamitin ko na ang VISA ko.

Share ko lang din experience ko, I recently got approved 10 yrs multiple entry. I didn't bring any documents with me, as in passport, picture at yung printed application lang dala ko. from my night shift eh ang tagal ko pumila. Yung pinili mo pala na sched eh yun pa lang yung time na papapasukin ka saka ka uli pipila ng matagal. So after ng mahabang pila, interview na. Totoo nga na nakakakaba mag antay na tawagin yung number mo kasi naririnig from where you're seated  kung ano ang tinatanong sa iba and kung denied or approved sila. Questions lang sa kin is purpose of my travel, kung ano ang work ko and kung married na daw ako. I had to tell a lie na malapit na ko ikasal next year kasi alam kong red flag sa kanila kung sasabihin kong i am totally single. ayun, ni ask lang kung nasa pinas daw ba ang bf ko and i said yes. Then yung last part is ni ask kung saan na ako nakapag travel na ibang countries.

Mahirap nga mahulaan when you will be approved or denied. For me nakatulong ang prayers, as in nag novena ako for 9 consecutive mornings hehe. Then yung confidence sa pagsagot is one big thing din, pag halatang kinakabahan or nag stammer eh baka isipin nila you're lying. Nung sumagot kasi ako, super derecho ako ng tingin sa consul at with confidence to the highest level and nakuha ko pa mag joke, lolz. Good thing din siguro na known US company ang work ko, I even asked the consul if he's familiar and I used my job as one of the reasons why I wanted to go to NY (stock trading kasi kami). Then when I was expecting more questions eh sabi lang ng consul: "your visa will be delivered in 7 days". Ayoko pa umalis, sabi ko: "are we done?" hehe.

So there goes my experience, nakakakaba pero sulit naman kasi I get to travel to Taiwan then next month for free, tipid ng 2,100 hehe..I will be using the visa next year siguro, ipon ipon muna ng pamasahe at pang shopping galore.

P.S. YUng girl na consul sa counter 11 parang super notorious, halos lahat ng napunta sa kanya denied at super dami nyang tanong. Wala lang, yun lang napansin namin nung nag aantay kami ng turn namin.

I have to apply for a visa for my 2-month old daughter. Kasi I was supposed to go ng January for a 7-week seminar at USC but I found out I was pregnant so I didn't push through with it. I pushed back my registration to Feb 2015 because it was the furthest available date and I've paid for everything. Hindi pwedeng magrefund eh medyo malaki din nagastos ko. I had to request for a refund for my plane ticket din and syempre hindi full refund yun. Anyway, I want to bring my daughter next year because I don't wanna be apart from her for 7 weeks. Sabay na lang din my husband, parents, grandma and uncle to visit our relatives there though of course they can't stay that long. Yun nga lang I have to get a visa for my daughter. Nakakastress since ang lapit na nun and wala pa nga her birth certificate.. What are the chances she'll get one?

magkaka problem kaya ito? My MRV fee receipt from BPI does not include my middle name (but my DS-160 does) kasi the website kept on giving me errors nung nilagay ko yung middle name ko (i'm guessing i have too many names, three names kasi given name ko)

I am trying my luck to get a US visa. Time to explore another continent! Interview schedule is one month from now. Single female here, with decent income, I've been given Schengen, SK, Japan, China visas. Hopefully bigyan ako, ansakit ng Php 7,200 na visa fee ah.

Question: May safe ba na parking lot near the US Embassy? Balak ko sana ilagay yung electronic gadgets ko sa car while waiting. Or mapagkakatiwalaan ba yung mga nagbabantay ng gamit sa labas?

^better leave your electronics at home. outside parking is not safe and the people collecting fees cannot be entrusted that they will keep a close eye on your vehicle.

^^Agree with leaving your electronic stuff at home. What we did before we made pahatid and took the cab back home. Unless you have a driver you can ask him/her to wait either across the embassy (there are restaurants there where the driver can make tambay) or at the side of the embassy around the Army/Navy/Museo Pambata area.

If you haven't set your appointment time yet, try to get the earliest one of the day so you get to finish early too. Good luck! I'm sure you'll get a US visa.

I have a 7:15 am appointment. Ubos na ang ng 6:30 am this year and I don't want to wait until next year.

US has the longest visa application form and most expensive visa application fee that I've encountered.  Although not required, I'll start preparing my documents, for my personal peace of mind.

Hi mga sis! Update ko lang sa question ko dati na pwede ba as family ang dad and tita ko even though "independent" na sila. Apparently nakakuha pa rin sila as family. We tried our luck lang kasi nagwoworry lang kami baka madeny si tita. Luckily pwede naman pala (in our case  nakakuha sila ng as family) and both passed. 10 years din.
