^ depende, if tinanong ni consul  about what you do.pwede. Mabusisi if girl ang matapat sa iyo.  Pwede rin kasi mag ask consul about business permit mo or itr. Window 7 ako, guy. Chinicka lang ako.scary pag babae. Mas malaki chance of denial. Kasi, nung tuesday, puro denied ang applicants na napupunta sa girls. Naka MICROPHONE pa! Dolby digital all surround system ang sinasabi sa iyo. Dress well.  Wear a business blazer. It helps! I wore a black blazer over what Iam wearing. Look presentable, wear make up, dont overdo jewelry. Its a plus! Look like you really have money to spend. My brother was once a Phil consul. He said, the moment an applicant steps into the embassy, consuls looks at them, and from then, they already JUDGE you, even before they get a chance to interview you. Be spontaneous, dont stutter, or do " uhms, ahhhs" or simply dont answer or have dead air. Consuls would think, you are thinking of an excuse to say if you dont answer what they are asking you asap. They said, if you are  really the one who answered your form, you should answer fast. since you should know the answer for that. goodluck!

Regarding sa dress code, it varies din. When we went there last month, around 70% naka casual attire lang. Meron nga dun girl naka flip-flops lang and some guys wearing rubber shoes. I think, at the very least, just look decent. Anyways, from shoulder up lang naman makikita ng consul. I was seating kasi dun malapit sa lahat ng windows so maririnig mo yung mga denied (plus the fact na bitbit pa rin ang passport leaving the window = denied) and really, wala talaga sa suot whether ma approve or hindi. Meron dun super porma, denied naman. Then may 2 guys na sabay, yung isa naka-suit while yung isa naka polo shirt. Na approve pa yung naka polo hehe. Yung girl in flip-flops nakasabay ko palabas, she got approved din. She was wearing sleeveless floral dress. What's important pa rin are your supporting documents and your purpose of visit na ma-explain and justify mo ng maigi if need bi. Btw, I was wearing a comfy blouse, leggings and flat shoes and I was granted 10-year multiple! Basta smile lang lagi and be confident kahit deep inside super kabado na. Good luck mga sisses!

Ako din, smart casual lang. Dark jeans, collared blouse, platform wedges. Powder and lip gloss lang. Approved naman. IMO, basta decent ang ayos, ok na. Di na kelangan todo-porma. Mas impt pa din ang intention ng pag-travel.

Its a plus and maganda na rin na nasa lugar ka manamit:)seen people na parang mag pupunta sa Mall. Some, parang mamamalengke. Dress the part. Too casual naman iba. Parang mag a apply lang as katulong. Look presentable. Embassy yun, di Nepa Q market. Last July 15 ako nag interview. Daming na denied that time na too comfortable ang suot to be applying for US Visa. Di naman need na maging dayo sa Saudi at nag hehepa sa sobrang dilaw ng jewelry. In a way, we also have to respect the place. lalo na pag nakatyempo ng female consul. Ayoko naman mapahiya sa buong lugar na iannounce pa sa  mic.  May naka statement tees pa.( bakit nakatingin ka? In front, O! Titingin pa! At the back.) smart casuals are good. A good and comfy dress or a nice polo is fine. ( wag naman may kagat ng daga collar, stained or what nots)

In my opinion being granted a US visa is first and foremost based on how strong ones ties/roots are in the Philippines. You should be able to impress/show the consul that you will be going back home after your trip at hindi ka mag TNT.

Second is your ability to travel financially. It doesn't follow na porket meron kang kamaganak sa US eh wala ka nang panggastos. Siguro naman yung airfare and shopping money ikaw ang gagastos. Plus a little travel history will not hurt. It just shows na you can afford to travel.

When you submit your application form electronically, half of their decision has been made na whether to give you a visa or not. The other half of the decision will depend on the personal interview. Have you ever wondered bakit yung ibang aplikante isang tanong lang tapos approve agad? While the others isang katerbang tanong eh denied naman? Or yet yung iba dumaan pa sa butas ng karayom na mga tanong bago binigyan din? How you carry yourself and answer the Qs with confidence is a big factor.

The dress part, well of course one has to look DECENT. You don't have to go over the top naman na tipong attend ka ng party. Ke pang mall, pang palengke or pang office yung damit mo as long as you look NEAT and CLEAN walang kaso yun.

kasi si hubby magaaplu din bale magiging ako , si hubby and si daughter (minor)..............ang totoo talaga na magttravel is ako lang and si daughter sabit kami kay inlaws na seniors na.. si hubby sabi ni inlaws isama na daw namin sa application kasi dati nun bata sya meron sya visa us but nun colllege for renewal na denied.. now sabi ni inlaws try lang daw namin isama si hubby baka daw makapasa na...

pagka ganun situtation tell ko padin ba na ang magsusupport samin sa gastos si inlaws?.........and the reason for going to states is a gift for the advance 7th bday of my daughter...thanks mga sis

I would suggest ang kuning schedule eh 6:30 am. Yan ang kinuha ko last year and bingo! I got my multiple visa.

ha talaga 6:30am? e di what time ka andun u mean 5:00am pa lang andun kana? kaso pano kaya yun sakin may bata ako kasama na 6yrs old baka naman mahirapan anak ko pag sobra aga....
u mean may factor ba yun maaga interview or baka nagkataon lang na mas naaprove pag maaga ?

^ sis sorry but in my opinion it doesnt matter what time sched mo. kung mabibigyan ka kahit anong oras ka pa magpasched eh mabibigyan ka. Like what mama squeak said sa post nya, pre-screened na ang electronic application forms. Bago pa ang interview may decision na ang mga consul kung bibigyan ka or idedeny ka. Upon assessment ng electronic application, pag 100% no doubt sila sa yo eh approved na yun kaya sa interview parang mababaw na lang at konti lang ang questions kc formality na [textspeak!]. Pero pag 100% may doubt sila sa yo grabe mga questions sa interview. Now kung 50-50 ang assessment nila eh sa interview na nakasalalay kung bibigyan o idedeny syempre depende sa pagsagot natin. Ganyan din kasi naobserve ko when i applied.

Pati sa attire ndi naman kailangan magpakaformal. I agree with mama squeak! Basta decent enough ok na. Ako nga naka jeans, rubber shoes and collared shirt lang.

Di maganda yung inupload mo sa online. Like yung akin panget kasi scanner ko (ala akong soft copy) so kinuha nila yung 1x1 ko.

haynaku hesitant pa din ako mag-apply ng tourist visa!

wala din kasi akong matitirahan sa US, balak ko nga sana mag couchsurfing nalang eh, bonafide naman ang intention ko na talagang mag shopping lang at mag tour, and to meet friends (who are students and nahihiya naman ako maki-stay with them).

would it help if i say na i will be attending a short course/ workshop for example sa makeup school or photography school?

I got my 10-year visa in 2011, and was able to travel to the US the following year. I was still a student then, although a graduate student at that.

I was not asked a lot of questions. The consul asked what am I studying, so I assume it's going to be a big deal if you're taking Nursing or other courses that may be in-demand. He didn't look at my bank statements and other documents I have with me. It also helps that your passports have visa stamps from other countries. Be confident, but not overly so. Try to be nice and pleasant

I got married last January of this year. Nagpachange name na ako sa passport ko, but my US VISA is still under my maiden name.

My boss is suggesting kasi na I reapply for a new one to reflect my married name. May travel kasi ako in November sponsored by the company kaya nag aalangan sya baka raw magkaproblem sa Immigration when I get there.

Although the company will shoulder the costs, worry ko lang na baka mamaya di ako maapprove pag nag apply ako ulit.

Ano kaya ang chance ko na madeny for the visa? Do you think necessary pa na mag aaply ako ulit?

^No need to apply for a new one as long as valid pa your B1/B2 visa (business/tourist visas) by the time you travel. You just have to bring supporting documents like your marriage certificate in case tanungin ka ng IO.

When I got married I already had an existing US visa under my single name (multiple indefinite visa pa uso nun) and I continued using it even after I had my new passport to reflect my married name. Lagi lang ako may dalang kopya ng marriage certificate.

It also helps that your passports have visa stamps from other countries.

May I ask what existing visa stamps u have in ur passport?
