I have to agree. Walang advantage kung family. A few years ago may kasabay akong family. Mom, dad and three kids (2 school age kids and 1 teen). Yung isang teenager son around 15 yrs old lang and hindi nabigyan and the rest approved.

QQ, sabi kasi dun sa isang website na you shouldn't bring big bag to the embassy. Parang prefer na magdala ka ng see through bag lang. May mga nagdala ba ng bag dito? How big? Planning to use my medium LC sa pagapply. Okay lang kaya yun or mahaharang?

Yung first time ko i just brought a small pouch and envelope containing my papers.
Second time ko ala na. Just the envelope. They will require you to remove your phone or any gadgets talaga. Though i remeber may iba doon may dalang bag pero titingnan muna nila yung laman. Parang sa airport na bag check up.

Sabi nga ng karamihan sa nakausap ko, maluwag ngayon mag bigay ang embassy ng visa. US need tourists pa. may interview kami ni mama sa july 15:) may dragon dance na nga sa dibdib ko. Ume enter the dragon na ang kaba. Pero, stay positive.. Claim that visa na agad!:)

naku sis dr. talaga need muna pay before ko madownload yun form nun DS-160? nakakatakot naman kasi hindi ako techy mamaya habang dinadownload ko yun form magka errors tapos hindi nako makapagcontinue ...sory for my ignorance just making sure na hndi masasayang yun 7k plus ko dun palang sa pagpapagawa ng appointment...

my question is - 1) pano yun sinasabi nyo na kada page nun form pwede idownload muna? meaning ba nun per sheet isasave ko sa sa isang file then tsaka ko na lang answer kapag hndi nakjo nakaonline para tuloy tuloy sagot tapos tsaka ko isubmit pag naanswer kona lahat ng sheet ng sabay sabay sa website

2)ano yun pianka home page or website nun pagdodownloadan ng DS-160? mamaya kasi fake na website yun mapuntahan ko huhu naninigurado lang kasi mahal yun application fee eh 2 pa naman yun iaaply ko meaning around 15k din yun

^ sis, pwedeng wag ka muna magbayad habang di mo pa tapos ang DS-160. Bale online mo sasagutan yung form. Pwede mo I-save, then tapusin mo some other day/time. Me parang log-in details ka lang para ma-access mo ulit ang form mo. Yung payment, kelangan mo yun kung magpapasked ka na ng interview.

Read up sa website ng US Embassy. andun naman ang mga links, instructions, etc.

Thank you to all the sisses na sumagot sa mga inquiries ko and for those who shared their experience in getting a visa. I was granted a visa today!

Was originally scheduled for July 18, pero nung nakita ko na may available today, niresched ko. Didn't want to prolong the agony. Hehe.

Was scheduled for 7:15, pero was there around 6:30. Natapos ang interview ko before 9AM.

Was bangag because I only had an hour of sleep. Mid shift schedule ko, pero decided to go pa rin kahit hilo. Of all the places where I could sit and wait for my turn for the interview, I was seated in the area nearest the interview windows. Medyo no choice ako, kasi pagpunta ko dun, nagiisa nalang yung available na seat and tinawag pa talaga ako ng usher para dun umupo. I had front row seats to the interviews going on in the window nearest my seat. Nakakakaba siya. Lalo na pag naririnig mo panay deny. Iniisip ko nga paano kung dun din ako mainterview. And what do you know, dun nga ako nainterview. Yung 2 nauna na ininterview sakin parehong deny. Kaya imagine nalang kung gaano ako ka-kabado. And since medyo antok and all, I wasn't smiling. Hehe. I thought for sure na baka hindi ako mabigyan ng visa. Pero sa huli, I was granted one.

The questions asked:
1. What is your purpose in going to the US?
2. Where are you going to go?
3. How many days are you going to stay?
4. Do you have any relatives in the US?
5. What is your profession?
6. How much do you earn?
7. Who will be paying for your trip?
8. Have you travelled internationally?
9. What were your purpose in travelling to those countries?
10. Where did you go in Taiwan? How many days were you there?

I was expecting questions regarding my relatives in the US and sa parents ko. Pero was not asked anything about my immediate family. Most of the questions where about my work and travels abroad.

Tama si bagaholic. Nandun naman sa website nila lahat and the site will lead you there. Ako sinagutan ko yung una actually 1 and a half day dahil sa naprapraning lang ako sa kaba. Hahaha.

hope may makasagot sa questions ko pls

1) pag family application ba even si daughter na 6 yr old tatanungin din ng questions?..

2) pag family applications ba meaning during the interview with the consul 3 kami (hubby, me, daughter) magkakatabi na iniinterview both at the same time ng consul? iniimagine ko kasi set up sis 

3)need ko ba magdala ng pics ng sister kona nasa states na nagwowork as sheriff ?...maganda ba points na yun relatives natin sa government ng US nagwowork maganda ba points yun?

4) tama ba na ang ilalagay ko sa work status: Housewife? ....since iam not really working in a company or have legal business. just baby online shop(i dont do give ITR in BIR) since you know naman mga sis pag online shop wala naman talaga resi resdibo ...and iam just partially woking in my inlaws family business meaning parang tulong tulong lang and they just give me allowance..

anyone can answer this question? kasi when i look at the site it state there nga 1st step is payment

^ you can pay first para pag natapos mo na yung ds-160 mo direcho ka na sa pag sked mo ng interview..pwede mo din naman gawin na muna yung form then pag finish ka na pwede ka na mag bayad, that's the only time na pwede mong makita yung mga available dates ng interview.. so pwede mo ng unahin yung form para tuloy-tuloy ka na.. HTH!

1&2 yes, sabay kayong 3 ng hubby and kid nyo na haharap sa window para kausapin ng consul. Most likely, si hubby mo ang main and first na kakausapin. Then ikaw. Pwedeng kausapin nya ang anak mo, pero small talk lang. Tipong "you want to go to Disneyland?" or "you like riding the airplane?" type of questions lang. Pwede ring mag-hello lang sya sa anak nyo.

3 I am also a housewife with a "racket" on the side. And I also help out sa family business nila hubby. I declared sa form na housewife ako.

As for kung anong uunahin - bayad or pagsagot sa form - depende sa yo. Kami, inuna namin ang form. Yung payment naman kasi e kelangan mo lang talaga kung magpapa-sked ka na ng interview, which you can only do if naka-submit ka na ng form.

ask ko lang po dun sa ds160 may question dun na have you ever been in the us? If yes ba dapat lahat ng alis mo since 2002 ilalagay or last travel lang? Pasched kami interview ng son ko & mom. sabay sabay na. Sa son ko ba need ba letter from my husband na pinapayagan nya son nya? baka meron kau sample letter patulong po? and lastly ang magbayad ng trip namin ay ang sister ko na nasa US green card holder n sya, need pa ba mga documents nya? my question now is
1) sa pagpapasked mayron na saturday na choices? para no need na ng daughter ko umabsent sa school?
and let say nagbayad ako monday july 14 usually what are the choices ng dates na available to choose on? umaabot ba hanggang month of august? like july 15 everyday till august?

2) sa application form 3 kasi ako, daughter and si hubby. magkakaiba ibang form bale yun di ba? ako na din kasi gagawa ng para kay hubby pano yun di dapat havang sinasagutan ko ds-160 ni hubby andun sya para alam ko kung ano ano info ang isasagot ko sa form nya na ds-160?

3) sa picture ba na need isubmit sa application passport size ba talaga ? i mean need kopa punta sa picture service for photo application saka ko isscan para maupload sa website ng embassy?

1 walang Saturday. Weekdays lang sa pagkakaalam ko. Re available schedule, depends sa dami ng nag-aapply during the period. Once nakabayad ka and nagtingin ng sched, lalabas naman lahat ng available dates. Pero no assurance kung ano earliest date na makukuha mo. Malalaman mo lang talaga pag nag-check ka na.

2 pwede naman ikaw gumawa ng ds160 ni hubby mo. But better na katabi mo sya para pag me di ka sure e matatanong mo agad. And before mo isubmit yung form nya, ipa-check mo sa kanya lahat to be sure. And para din alam nya ano nakasulat sa form nya, para consistent sagot nya in case matanong sa interview.

3 for picture, punta ka lang kahit saang studio, sabihin mo for US visa. Usually me kasama na din sila ibibigay na soft copy nung picture. Para no need na to scan, yun na mismo ia-upload mo with your ds160.

thanks sis..by the way sis may mga questions ba regarding sa income tax? mga techinicalities. like in a year how much binabayaran ni hubby na tax, etc?...

^ based on our experience, di kami natanong about jan. Ang tanong sa amin were mainly confirmation of some items that were already in the ds160 (hubby's work, ilang years na sya sa current company, etc).

^ for me wala din tanong regarding tax pero while waiting for my turn meron ako narinig na consul who asked regarding their gross and net income lang kasi family business ang source of income nila.

Thanks dr.thereal.joy for answering my question i have no intentions of staying long in their country too. I just want to get a vacation there as traveling is really my passion. I'm single and running my own business. I just hope they see my sincerity in wanting to visit their country. I'm also planning to go with my brother which means he'll also be applying for the Visa. He's 22 and is still studying. I just hope the consul sees that we don't have any intention of staying long in the US

Was granted a visa this morning!:)  sooooo happy! While waiting, Mom and I have been hearing the other consuls denying applicants. Scary!! May 2 doon, naka microphone pa! Kahiya! Dinig na dinig sa buong Embassy. " you havent been to any country yet? Where will you get your money?" Fudge! Nasa window 7 kami. Mukhang supladito si consul. Pero, wala gaano sinabi.

Me- Basically, I have an online shop on Instagram, my clients can see all my products there, once they made their mind on  what to order, they send me a viber message, I give them an order slip via viber, they send it to me with their orders, I would then let them know how much all the orders are to them, they pay me via bank deposit, then I check if payment are made, then I ship the orders to them.

Me- I was an English teacher then.

Di na kinuha affidavit of support and the bank statement. Di na nga tinignan previous passports, when we will leave or how long.
