Our interview will be end of March.  Five of us as Family (3 kids) ages 4,6 and 7. But me and my partner are not married.  He's still maried 14 years ago and separated for 13 years.  I'm the only one not using his family name.  Buti may option naman sa DS-160 na Domestic Partnership.  Sana naman ay makapasa.  Ang mahal din ng application fee.

Share ko lang mga sis we had our interview last March 13 and got approved!! Twice ako na-deny when i was still single kaya talagang i prayed hard to be granted a visa now that i'm married. 4 kaming nagpa-interview as a family, hubby ko, my 10 month old baby and my stepdaughter. Si hubby naka 2 multiple visas na sya and his visa just expired last 2012. He's a priority athelete kaya madami na syang travels and visas abroad which was a big plus. Tapos kasama din nga namin nag-apply yung stepdaughter ko who's a student and needs to go back here for her studies and her mom of course. Ako lang ang pwedeng ika-deny ng visa namin kasi ang immediate relatives ko nasa US na. That's the reason why twice ako na-deny before kahit may business ako at madaming travels. But fortunately, all our visas were approved!! Sa sobrang tuwa namin napa-kiss sa akin si hubby sa hatap ng consul at nagyakapan kami lahat dun hehe umeksena pa! Priority kami kasi meron baby so we didn't have to wait for our number to be called. Pag-open na pag open ng window ng consul kami na agad ang pinauna. Ang tagal din ng interview sa amin more about the business, hubby as an athlete and my stepdaughter's school ang questions and madalas paikot ikot lang ang tanong. Awaiting na lang kami ng passports namin to book our flights to US this May. Sana 10 yr multiple entry ang visa namin!

we're schedule for an interview in april, question lang po anyone na nakapag bayad thru online banking ng BPI?

ang MRV Fee Payments lang kasi namin is yung sinend online na may barcode ng DS160 and barcode ng confirmation ng payment namen..

yun na ba yung original MRV fee receipt na kelangan naming dalin upon interview?

mag pprint na kasi ako ng mga documents

Btw, is it a plus if ilalagay ko na ako magpay ng trip Namin to US? ang unang napagusapan kasi Namin ng sister ko she will be the one to sponsor our trip since she invited us for her wedding. Mas okay ba ang chance na ang ilalagay ko ako na magpay ng trip Namin ng baby ko? But during our stay there it will shoulder by my sister.

Hey Sis lucky_mom, yes it is a plus if you will pay for your own trip (make sure na this is what you indicated on the DS-160 form). However, pag kinausap ka ng consul make sure you really do have the means to pay for your own trip kasi they will definitely ask what you do for a living and may ask how much income you earn.

Based on what others advised me before, never say you have a relative abroad even if you do kasi baka isipin nila mag TNT ka since may matitirahan ka naman dun. So may chance ma deny. Share ko lang kasi sister mo nasa US and you plan to tell the consul that she will pay for your trip. Baka lang mag send ng bad vibes sa consul na may intent ka mag TNT dun. Di ko din masabi though kasi di na kami tinanong if we have relatives there and intent namin to go there is to have a vacation.

^ kami naman ni hubby, we declared that we have relatives in the US. Si hubby, he listed his brother and uncle (brother ng mom nya). Ako, I listed my aunt from mother side and uncle from father side. We indicated din that our purpose for travel is for vacation and to visit relatives. IMO, di naman naging issue yung pagkakaron ng relatives, as long as they can determine na you have enough reason to come back here sa PH.

Sa application, we indicated na kami gagastos for our travel (well, si hubby, kasi I'm a housewife). Our view kasi is better be honest, kesa malaman din nila na you have some relatives pala dun tapos di nyo inamin (especially if malapit na kamag-anak pa pala). I think kasi kailangan lang is consistency ng application details and interview answers ng applicant..

^ Take sis bagaholic_chewy experience regarding relatives. At least she was asked that question. In my case, the closest relatives we had in the US were uncles (father side) that we haven't seen for a long time so there's no reason for us to indicate them as relatives from the US.

Sa application ng mom and dad ko when they applied, ni indicate din nila na yun dad ko gagastos for both of them. It helped na nandun din ang dad ko sa interview kasi sya na ang tinanong regarding his source of income. Ako naman ang plan talaga namin ng hubby ko ay sya yun gagastos sa trip but since may US Visa na sya and he can't accompany me in the interview, I indicated that I will pay for my own trip. I have a business and the means to pay for my own trip so I had nothing to fear. In my opinion, it's better to indicate na ikaw gagastos for your own trip as long as kaya mo mapakita na may income ka nga to pay for your own trip.

Tama din si sis bagaholic_chewy to be consistent with what you filled out in your application and the answers your provide sa consul.

Question again sis I paid bpi online for our visa interview. may mga sinagutan ba kayo na form like yung details about yourself, san kayo graduate ano course and background etc? nagask kasi yung sister ko na ang sabi nya dapat may sinagutan daw ako na ganun..

Also since I paid online ano yung mrv na ipapakita? sabi kasi "bring your original MRV fee receipt"

^ parang wala ako maalalang ganyan na form for the payment.. baka she meant the DS160? For the payment, I just printed out yung payment form, then paid sa bank. Yung mrv fee receipt yata is the payment form machine-validated by the bank (nakalagay when and how much binayaran).

Sis mga anong oras kaya kailangan andun na kung 630 ang appt. nakkatakot kasi na yung iba mahaba pila. Baka mamaya 6ako andun tapos di ako sumakto ng630 sa appointment.

^in my experience, yung schedule mo yun palang ang time na papasok ka sa embassy. Dati 8:30am ako, andun na ko ng 8am pero 8:30am pa pinapasok then mga 11am na nainterview.

^ over naman yan. Hehe.. we had 6:30am interview din before. Got there a little after 6am, wala na pila sa labas so diretso na kami pasok. At least sa loob e ok lang maghintay kasi me mga upuan na. Tapos na kami before 11am, kasi I remember we went to Sofitel for lunch at Spiral at ang aga namin andun so tumambay muna kami sa may poolside while waiting for lunch buffet to start. Hehe..

^^ sis, me nabibilhan naman ng food and drinks sa loob so if nagutom ka while waiting you can buy there.. Yung waiting time depends sa dami ng tao on that day. If di ganun kadami, then mas mabilis.

Nung interview namin, I just brought a book para maaliw. Si husband umidlip while waiting, hehe.. Pero di rin ako masyadong nakapagbasa kasi move ng move ng seats (me mga ushers na nagdi-direct sang seating area uupo) tsaka I like people-watching din naman kaya di ako na-bore.. di ko ganun karamdam ang tagal ng waiting time between processes, keri lang. Basta before 11am nasa Sofitel na kami. So I think around 10am or so siguro kami nainterview nun.
