For my 2 babies (1yr 20mos & 4mos), I introduced the bottle at 3 weeks and ok naman both walang nipple confusion. My prob with my 4mo old now naman is after 6 weeks, he refused to feed from the bottle na. Good thing I'm not working so direct feed kami Palagi. Ang advice Sakin ni pedia kelangan tiisin and feed from the bottle consistently for 24hrs if I want to wean daw from me. Eventually hunger will kick in and mag feed din baby sa bottle. Hay, not sure if kaya ko matiis yun iyak Niya when I know he's hungry..

Anyone else experienced this did u mommies do?

^ sis, no need to clean/wash the tubing, sa pagkakaalam ko. Air lang naman dumadaan dun e. Just make sure all the other washable parts are dry talaga when you operate the pump para di malagyan ng water yung tubing. For maintenance, plan ko is every 4-6 months dalhin sa Medela House yung pump to have it cleaned.

But don't you have toclean any other part that comes in contact with milk?

^ yup. But the tubing does not get in contact with the milk. Air lang ang nagfo-flow dun.. I'm using a Medela pump, btw. Baka kasi sa ibang brands e iba ang tinatawag na "tubing".

I also have a medela freestyle and I don't wash the tubing. I once did and had a hard time drying it out. And when I had to pump, saw droplets of water going inside the pump.

For my first pregnancy kasi I used a manual pump from Pigeon and I would rinse it with boiling water after every use. I'm thinking of getting a Medela for this pregnancy but wonder how to clean between pumping. Are there any parts that come in contact with the milk?

^ the breast shields and kung saan nakakabit ang shields and bottle/collection bag (forgot the name). Once you have your pump, medyo obvious na alin yung washable parts. Basta not the tubing.

Queen chocola, buti hindi ng nipple confussion baby mo when you introduced the bottle at 3 weeks old? My pedia told me to wait for 6 weeks. Gusto ko din kasi mag introduce ng bottle kay baby asap para may bonding moments sila ng daddy niya and also for days when i feel exhausted pwede si hubby mag nurse kay baby.

sis hindi naman nagkaron ng nipple confusion. I was worried din before. I guess depende din sa baby buti nga di na sya naging choosy di na ko nahirapan mag feed sa kanya sa bottle. I've read na as early as 4 weeks pwede na, kasi established na yung breastfeeding. Ako naman at 3 weeks na feel ko na established na so nag start nako bottle feeding. at 2 weeks check up sa pedia sinabi niya rin na I can start na bottle feeding within the next few days if I want. I waited na maka 3 weeks. Although ngayon mas more on direct feeding pa rin kami. na hahaselan kase ako i warm pa yung milk kinatatamaran ko. I guess it's up to you kung feel mo established na, maybe you can start earlier than 6 weeks. kase pag masyado daw matagal mahihirapan ka naman i introduce yung bottle.

I feel you sis. sobrang nakakapagod. Nung una okay lang, walang tulog because every 2 hrs or so you have to feed. Pero recently, nung nag 6 weeks na sya grabe gising sya in the wee hours of the morning hanggang mag umaga na. Night shift nga ako ngayon sa gabi gising. naiinis na din ako minsan kasi ayaw niya matulog ang hirap patulugin tapos pag nakatulog na 5 mins or so magigising. back to zero naman. a pacifier would be a really great help pero ayaw niya talaga. mag isa lang kasi ako 24x7 bantay sa kanya. si boyfie tumutulong pero pa minsan lang. wala pa kasi yaya. normal lang yan sis kasi nakakapagod talaga sabayan pa ng puyat. pero when I look at him okay na ang lahat. isipin mo na lang kung gano mo sya kamahal

My baby is a week old and i wanna start pumping narin. I also have let down, like pag si baby sucking on one breast the other breast leaks. But not too much naman, gusto ko sana ipunin. How to store ba?... Say i pump and only get 1oz for the first hour, ill pump again after 3 hours and get 1oz. Pwede Pag sasamahin ko yun in one storage bag? Para 2oz at isang defrost nalang.

^sis, yes u can combine them as long as they are of the same temperature.  Ingat lang sa pasalin salin to avoid contamination.

Hello mommies! Happy breastfeeding month! I have a 3-week old son and EBF kami. Like everyone here, my goal is to BF him until he reaches 2. My ML is for three months, so I'm enjoying each day with him. I plan to start pumping when I reach my 6th week and try to offer him my express milk. Wish us luck! When I get back to office, my MIL will take charge, so another good luck.

mommieees! HELP. 6 months na si baby , mag-7 months na siya sa September 1, pansin ko onti nalang milk ko di gaya dati. Pano ko ba iincrease to ulit? Possible paba yun? As long as I can, gusto ko sana i-breastfeed siya til 2 years old, pero onti na milk ko ngayon palang. Sana may makatulong.Thanks

same here! my baby is 8months na, my period came back last week lang and i noticed ang laki ng binagsak ng supply ko. before, i can pump max 10oz every 4hours. ngayon 5oz nalang. pahirapan pa yun. hindi narin ako na eengorge. lagi nalang malambot breasts ko. plan ko mag breastfeed until 1yo siya. will try taking natalac sana effective. sana mag boost pa supply ko.

prickyslime and nageinna take malunggay capsules, keep yourself hydrated, you can relax and get a massage pero the best way parin talaga to increase milk supply is to have baby latch on to you. Yung suckle nila nakaka-stimulate para magproduce yung body mo ng more milk

oo nga pano kapag gusto mo na magstop ng breastfeeding? kasi di ba if u want to go on, pa latch lang daw ng pa latch kay baby para masignal yun body mo na magproduce ng milk. pero pano naman pag gusto mo na magstop? nakaka worry yun maiiwan na milk sa breast baka tumigas. hmmm...

Ako sis ang plan ko pag mag stop na ako, i will slowly decrease the feeding para onti onti din mag lower ang supply. Tapos pump nalang wala ng direct latch. A friend also said that cold compress will help. Ang goal ko 6 months lang. Pero ewan ko lang kung aabot ba ako ng 1 year.
