yey! new home for us! Ask ko lang sissies kung ilan ang ideal breastmilk bottles for storage? Papabili sana ako sa kamag anak ko sa US this March kasi mas mura doon. okay na ba yung 12 bottles? Enough na ba yun considering na magdadala din ako sa office ng bottles of pumping and mag iiwan din ako sa ref for baby? Thank you so much!

Mommies who breastfed their babies one year and above... I have a question lang sana, possible ba ang ganitong set-up:

Fresh milk plus solid food during the day (no pumping for 8 to 9 hours-ouch!)
Unli-Latch during evening plus weekend and pump to build stash?..

Diba titigil milk as long as may unli-latch pa rin?

Hayst! dumating na ang kinatatakutan ko, ang malipat ng project.  Di pa ako sure kung may mapupwestuhan ako para mag pump or kung maisisingit ko pa ang pagpapump, pero im just preparing myself for the worst scenario.  Kung nasa Pinas lang sana ako na open ang breastfeeding area sa work wala sana akong problema but unfortunately, nasa Middle East ako at malilipat pa ako sa project na ako lang ang babae at puro ibang lahi pa ang mga kasama ko

Share ko lang, we've been exclusively breastfeeding for 10 months now! Lapit na ma-reach ang 1 year mark! Some days, nakakainis talaga ang breastfeeding (always worrying when/where to pump, if I have enough milk, etc.) but looking at my healthy, happy baby boy, I know it's all worth it!

chocoholic88, I currently have 22 storage bottles (Medela, Spectra and Pigeon).
I use at most 6 bottles each day to pump milk while I'm at work, plus I leave about 8-10 bottles of expressed milk for baby. Before, I had fewer storage bottles kaso hassle to transfer expressed milk from storage bottle to feeding bottle every day. What I pump kasi will be consumed the following day.

same kami ng question ni sis chocoholic88. Thanks for answering it sis shooting_star. That means na kulang pa nga ang bottles namin. Dati kasi naka-mixed feeding yung eldest ko kaya ok na ang 16 bottles. Nagyon plan ko na exclusive BF.

^ i use milk bag for bm that is frozen. yung mga excess na di nainom ni baby na more than 4 days na.

Sis, so you mean, feeding bottle na ang ginagamit mong storage bottle? Like from fridge, warm mo nalang then put the teats on and give na kay baby?  I was thinking of doing that kasi, since ang breastflow bottles naman has cover.

^^ baliktad sis.  I use storage bottles.

I pump using storage bottles then ilalagay sa ref. The next day, tatanggalin lang ni yaya yung disc portion ng cap tapos lalagyan ng teat then pwede na uminom si baby.

^ ay parang ganon din pala ibig ko sabihin , in my case kasi storage bottles ko are medelas and avents, feeding bottle is breastflow,so tinatransfer pa yung milk from storage to feeding..

For me yes, kasi yung teat niya is so soft like breast at parang same size sila ng nipple ko

May problema ulit ako Lately kasi nangangagat si baby, yung pakagat palang siya di ganon kadiin, then titingin sa akin sa reaction ko, tapos sabay unlatch then iiling siya habang yung hintuturong daliri kumkumpas (in short inuunahan niya ako sa pagsabing "no") So for past two months may mga times na ganon siya hinahayan ko nalang kasi di naman niya tunutuloy pagkagat niya in fact natatawa pa nga ako sa reaction niya.. Kaso two days ago, bigla yung kagat niya madiin na agad as in bawat dikit sa breast ko napapasigaw ako sa gulat at sakit, so after that, ayaw na niya maglatch natakot yata sa akin, then nung next na latch niya kinagat niya ako di ako nagreact pero nadiinan ko paghawak sa kanya sa sobrang sakit, then naiyak ako, he kissed me and embraced me that was last night, then after that since kaninang umaga, ayaw na niya maglatch sa akin, ayaw niya dumikit sa akin, last night sister ko na nagpatulog sa kanya at binigyan nalang siya ng expressed milk ko.. Nag aalala at nalungkot lang ako kasi sa umaga pag nagigising siya at nagkacry ng "yeye" ang routine namin bubuhatin ko siya at padedehin, kanina, he said yeye but just embraced me, nung nilabas ko yeye niya umiyak at umiiwas, pero alam kong gutom na siya kasi nga morning na, so my sister just offered again milk nalang sa bottle.. kakalungkot lang, nagwoworry na nga ako dito sa previous post ko ngayon, direct feeding naman sumunod :

HELP din mommies.. 1 week na mahina milk supply ko,i mean parang di na  nagiging full yung breasts ko dati lagi naglealeak sa kabila breast pag nagnunurse si baby sa isa parang sign sakin yun na okay yung supply ko pero ngayon hindi na and hindi na lagi matigas breast ko. natatakot ako baka mawala milk supply ko so nag start ulit ako maginom ng malunggay/calamansi juice 3 days na pero wala parin improvement.. ano pa po pwede ko gawin para dumami ulit milk supply ko, next month magstastart na rin ako magpump kasi baka magwork o magaral na ulit ako. thanks po

Sorry to hear about that sis. Hindi din kalakasan milk ko, pero I noticed na kapag I have enough rest and malakas ang intake ko ng liquids nagiging full breasts ko - try mo yung masasabaw na ulam like nilaga tsaka seashells. Try mo din pang-snack ang oatmeal hindi yung instant ha and drink milk din.

Mag-7 months na baby ko and so far kaya pa naman kahit di ganon kalakas milk ko tsaka healthy naman sya di nga lang sya kagaya ng ibang baby na super tabachingching average lang weight nya pero siksik naman. Anyway, good thing pwede na siya mag-solid these days. Ang prob pa sa baby ko ayaw nya dumede sa bottle so direct saken sya dumedede. Tried buying formula milk din pero di niya talaga type. So, malamang tatyagain ko talaga hanggang kaya na nya mag-sippy cup. LOL! Good thing lang I am allowed to work from home kaya okay na din kahit ayaw nya dumede sa bottle.

Sis how much ang cheapest na milk storage bags sa pinas? I dont know kasi if i should hoard here in the states or sa manila nalang ako bibili.

^^sis vain_kixie, I suggest u hoard na since you are in the states now.  I don't remember the exact price differences but it's definitely cheaper there.  I recommend lansinoh milk bags.. Mas mura compared to medela. Not sure about other brands though.  I have only tried lansinoh, medela milk bags. But I also used playtex  drop-ins as storage since compatible siya with its adapter with my medela freestyle pump.

I'm 34/35 weeks now with my second baby and I'm also excited to breastfeed again. Nabitin Kasi ako with my first baby since I got pregnant when he was 7 mos. at least a month after wala na talaga lumalabas na milk.  This time, since I'm not working yet I'm hoping to at least ebf up to 1yr (or more if kaya)

vain_kixie, I use Spectra milk bags from babymama.ph. It's durable, self-sealing and it's only P280 for one box (30pcs).

Hi mommy! yes, I tried that. Nag stop nga ako ng breastfeed past 2 yrs. old na si baby dahil lang accidentally nakagat nya ako. Sa gabi lang din ako nagpa breastfeed because I have work during the day. Okay naman, di naman nawala yung milk although humina siya probably because madalang na mag latch. Pero nababawi ko over the weekends kasi unli-latch si baby dahil magkasama na kami sa buong araw ng Sat and Sun.

lumakas na ulit supply ko yehey hehe..
hinaluan ko ng madaming malunggay yung meryenda ko crab and corn or any soup pag hapon hehe effective talaga!
