LOVE the 2nd time around...
« on: February 10, 2014, 04:16:28 pm »
A couple so in love went their separate ways.... Meets 20 years later but both married to someone else already.... Love is rekindled.... The love they have for each other is now genuinely deeper... Is love really sweeter the 2nd time around??? Or they're just creating a bittersweet affair?!?

ah syempre, walang duda, sweeter  talaga eh.

baka may makuha kang puntos sa thread na to ;)

In the span of 20 years -- that's a very significant amount of marriage, child rearing, career/business building, positioning in society at stake.  "If it ain't broke" don't damage it (beyond repair), IMO.

HOW can one say a Returning Love is deeper? Really? How can the gap of 20 years be bridged in days?
It MAY SEEM deeper, sweeter, etc etc. Sure, heck, you each gained better romantic vocabulary & tricks/insights you can now test on each other.  You've each lost the gauchness/naivette ...you now both have the money & means to make things happen.  But, you're practically strangers, really.

Our Lolo said: Ang bawal o bago: Masarap! Lol.
May I add: People who play  with fire, get burned.

Personally, I am not in favor of extramarital affairs, specially for wives. It's just me, what do I know anyway.
So, I'd say --  harmless flirting, is good for the ego, for a little sparkle. BUT do not delude yourself into thinking it's completely harmless... Specially if you have little self-control... Matatangay ka into a complicated affair.
(after 20 years, whatever he built up - he isn't gonna give up.. I bet my 2 ears.. But what do I know, I am still working towards 20 years).

Do not make Life-Changing Decisions based on emotions, or fleeting fireworks.

Pero, if you wanna go ahead -- well, it's your choice.. But be extremely discreet.

Seen couples like that.

Good example is Angel and Luis...is it sweeter the second time around?

Love can be sweeter the second time around, but not all the time especially if current situations do not allow for it.

If you really really think that your love for each other is really that great, I think both of you would have to make a decision to separate from your respective spouses, explain that wala na kayong nararamdaman sa mga asawa ninyo, apologize to your family, parents and in laws.

Kapag hindi na kayo attached, then start your affair. It would definitely be better this way.

Don't ever think to have a 'sideline' affair while maintaining a family. That's full of sh*t and deceit, sobrang lowly.

Be honest with it, face your issue and then you will be happpier together.

It can be exciting to get involved in something na bawal.  20 years in marriage may cause konting sawa narin due to mundane things.  Pero bawal yan.

They are just creating a bittersweet affair. When love is NOT right, it can never be sweet.

It's not always sweeter the second time  ;D I know a couple na nagkabalikan. Pareho silang married, both have children. They were in love since high school sila, mga 20+ years ago rin pero hindi sila nagkatuluyan. Then they met again I think 5 years ago. Si girl, married with kids (pero I think separated ) living in the USA. Si boy, married with kids then, hiniwalayan yung asawa nung magkita ulit sila ni girl, iniwan yung mga anak sa asawa nya, pero may sustento naman. Sumama siya kay girl sa US. To make the story short, naghiwalay sila 5 months ago.  ;D

Sorry to say, but when I was reading your "problem" a scene from a movie suddenly popped up in my head. guy meets girl some years later under the heavy rain, went to a hotel, and had sex. Maybe it's just lust. some unresolved issue.

Have you ever thought that this could be fate's way of testing your (and his) conjugal faithfulness?

This "meeting" is probably the best time to solve the unresolved issue you might have with each other.

^^sis amour, karma? I believe so. In the end, hindi rin pala sila for keeps ni past love.

If you are already married I think it is a different story, because there are other people involved and whether you like it or not there are people who will gonna be hurt.

If it didn't work out the first time, how can you be sure it will work out the second time around?

Kami ni hubs ganun din. We were high school sweethearts. Naghiwalay for almost 4 years. We met again, then kami nagkatuluyan. Sweet. Indeed. Kasi we were both single.

Just last year, nakuha nung ex bf nya nung college yung number nya and they started texting. They reunited after more or less 30 years. Very much married yung lalake, while hiwalay naman si MIL and Father-in-Law (not legally, so they're still married). Nasa province yung lalake and went her to live with my MIL (kapal din ng mukha) iniwan yung family nya ng ganun ganun na lang. After a month, her wife died sa sama ng loob. And his kids, tinakwil na sya.

Baka di mo na siya kilala, ugali and all.

THIS!

baka heat of the moment lang din ang nararamdaman nyo Honey75. baka din mamaya he's very much into you kasi troubled na ang married life nya, rebound ka lang. even if (just in case) hinde ok ang sa'yo, ayusin mo muna yun bago ka sumama o bago kayo may gawin nung ex mo na pagsisisihan mo lang sa huli. gagawa ka lang din kasi ng problema pag padalos dalos ng desisyon e.

hayy,, for me kasi, bine base ko ang meaning ng love sa kung ano ang nasa bible, love is kind, love is never selfish, love is sacrifice,,

in short, for me, hindi love ang tawag dyan kapag ang iniisip nyo lang is pansariling happiness,, sobrang selfish naman, lalo na kung may mga anak na kayo, kung may problem man kayo sa partner nyo, ang mga anak na ang priority,, for me if true love yan, it should have come in the right time and place, unang una na yung wala kayong masasaktan at masasagasaan,, pag nagmahal ka dapat masaya ka, kaso paano ka sasaya if complicated naman di bah?
